Wow!! You are so talented! Please wear gloves and mask. Please protect yourself! You are AMAZINGLY gifted and I want you to stay healthy so you can enjoy many years doing what you love to do. Your skills on that box from start to finish - the dovetails, the smooth closures...impressive!! God bless your hands.
I've rarely seen such a wide variety of creative and efficient techniques of you sir. The big new workspace let you work more efficient, but the old workshop let you get to that point where are your skills are now! Huge respect!
This reminds me (when you were putting in the small black nails) of a gift my grandfather gave me when I turned 4... It was a "junior" tool set that had real tools resized for small hands (The hammer, saw, pliers, screwdrivers, tape measure etc. were fully capable for a 3yo). It also had all the materials to build a wooden tool box for the tools. Of course you would never see this "toy" for sale for today's kids, but it was a great introduction into tools and woodworking.
For me who am Italian, the land of the best artists, you are the number one. I would love to know how to do one thousandth of the things you know how to do. Congratulations
You certainly have an eye for quality. You inspire me to keep working with my hands, despite my lack of experience and expertise, so I may one day be even half your level. This channel has been pure gold since day 1, and even before when you were doing dumpster antique restoration.
Yet another magical build. That smile and the kiss hehehehe super cute. Love the attention to details. The brass fittings and their sounds. The use of chisel and neatness of hinges. Kudos!
Nice piece of work Jimmy. that box is going to outlast us all. I also like the opposed wedge trick when you glued up the boards. I use exactly the same setup to hold parts during mass finishing operations. Works well. Take care bud.
Great of you to post your old work. I wonder if the Companies could have seen the future. Wait it just went by. Here it comes again...... recursion.... THANKS
Worth the rewatch, I always learn something and get inspired from your videos. This wasn’t THAT long ago, some shots in the “new” warehouse shop, and some in the old nyc shop. I regret not visiting that basement shop when I saw you were moving!
You had me cracking up with the sound of the cars going by. Sounded like the jetsons were driving by. The the belt sander sounded like a dog having a tug of war over his favorite bone. Jimmy Diresta you are always classic new or old Jimmy.
You're wishing for his demise so you can git some cool stuff ??? 🥳 😟 "I'm sorry for your loss...now... about that router, I'll give ya ten bucks & not a penny more... " 😬 😂🤣😂🤣
Verrryyy beauuuty! Jimmy, we want to go to our big box stores and buy white battery tools with black DIRESTA on them. You could sell an adapter that will convert whatever battery line ppl are invested in to work with your tools. I know, I just made a video showing how to use DeWalt batteries with Harbor Freight tools. You could do a Kickstarter like Giaco! We want our Diresta tool line, and we want it now!
I really enjoyed this video. It's hard to believe it was 17 minutes long. Went by fast. Great looking box. Loved the build. I do have to admit... After listening to your recent podcast yesterday... I did chuckle when you clapped.
Hi jimmy, I've been following you from Italy for many years. Every yours project is always surprising. I love all your project and this project is one of most beautiful for its simplicity and its style. Congratulations for your youtube channel and your projects. Kisses from Italy!
Love that nailing sequence. Fun to see all the shops. The one you were moving out of and the one you were moving into, and the one at the house. Great stuff my friend.
Nicely Done Jimmy. I especially liked the Top and Bottom Panels. You must have had to plane off about half the thickness in order to get thin enough stock. Great Looking Piece.
Not that I would ever need one of those boxes but that is some awesome workmanship going on there Jimmy! Just fantastic woodworking! .................. :)

I'm becoming carpenter and it's so awesome to get the inspiration and see all the tiny tricks from a master
It is pleasant to watch when a person loves what he does. That would be more such people in different fields. Hello from Russia!

Ive seen all your videos and I still love how you show from mind to paper to a thing. Thank you.
I've rarely seen such a wide variety of creative and efficient techniques of you sir. The big new workspace let you work more efficient, but the old workshop let you get to that point where are your skills are now! Huge respect!
That's beautiful. I love the 2 tips on installing the hinges, CA glue before screws and Bandy clamps to line it all up!
i love hammering the rows of nails in the top and bottom - in fast motion... awesome build, as always

@@peterfitzpatrick7032 lol! I'll give him 10 and 2 pennies. Sold! (and yeah no, I don't wish anyone's demise)
The editing on this is nice. Sped up just enough to make the hammer & nail part hypnotic. Thanks!
