These guys are the best, they have good demonstrations and tell you about everything! I’m 20 and have been having upper back pain the last couple days. I’m so used to just laying down whichever way and waking up fine cause I’m young but I guess nobody really teaches you how to sleep and it’s really important

Hello Bob & Brad. Great tutorial for better sleep posture. I have tried laying on my back plenty times, but I don't get the best sleep. However, when I sleep on my left and right side, as well as my stomach, I get the best sleep. Yet what's interesting, you strongly suggest not to. How do we reconcile this?

Try pillows made from cotton and wool. Cotton absorbs electricity, wool _ moisture. Tougher wool stays bouncy longer. Foft materials usually flatten out fast and stay flat. You want the bounciness , so, once in a while, gotta open up the pillows and revive the wool.

I have 2 herniated disc's l2-l3, l5-l6 and double sciatica in my back and I had fusion and plating on c5-c6. I sleep mostly on my left side sometimes on my back. When I sleep on my left I have my wife in front of me to help support me not to roll over. I don't know what to try to stop this bad pain about a 7 or 8 on pain index at 6am. I take my night meds at 10pm. 70mg extended morphine, 600mg Gabapentin, and 700mg soma. I have a therapeutic bed.

I have always slept on my side in a fetal position, but not hunched over, my back's moderately straight, but I've always needed two very fat chunky pillows under my neck and head, otherwise that would hurt my back and hips and possibly my legs if I sleep flatter than that. I sleep on my back with 3 pillows so I'm semi sitting up in bed, but again, my back isn't really curved, The lower part of my back's on the mattress which is a geltech foam pocket sprung mattress which is medium firm and hardly sinks at all even with my 290 something pounds weight on any part of it.
