Hi shane, I have watched a few of your videos now and have just subscribed. I've seen some pretty wierd shit whilst driving but that story is right up there. I'd like to share this quick story with you. This is more in the "won't see that again" category. It was in the early 90's when I was working with the post. I was near Woolgoolga (north coast of NSW) one night about 10.30 pm, and I was smoking at the time, as I lit a ciggy, out of the corner of my eye I noticed this blue/greenglow. I turned my head to see what I could only describe as a meteor or comet streaking across the sky. Sounds pretty ordinary I know but what got me was the size of this thing, if you hold a tennis ball about 12 inches (30cm) from your face, thats how big it was. I have to say here is no, I never took drugs and drove, I've always believed if you can't do it naturaly, don't do it. I tried to find out exactly what it was, but there wasn't even anything on the news. Something that I will probably never see again

Hi That I could believe, on a tarred back road I came across 2 people in the middle of the road trying to herd a goanna. Using a stick about 15mm dia to move the goanna on. Of course the goanna looked at the situation as if it was being attacked !! The total miscommunication in this situation could only end sadly. Tell you what I would not call a tee shirt, stubbies and thongs safety equipment in this situation, a full set of bike leathers and a fullfaced helmut may cut the grade but that goanna if it decided to attack/defend its self you would not have time to drop the stick before it would be no top of your head, the full faced bike helmut would be a bit helpful.
at first i thought you were going to say she was driving naked or doing something personal lol but never expected that didn't see that one coming lmao obviously she was in need of some strong meds lmao
Mate, nuthin’ surprises me on the road nowadays. Travelling north on the New England near Bayswater Power Station last week a guy was doing a pee in full view on the median strip. Drive safe👍🏻
Hey Shane, awesome story, i wudnt believed it but cause it's u mate, i believe now, i cudn't even guess, just bizzare...just done a run myself to Hay, Berry, Toowoomba, course I'm only in my car, over 3000kms, i can honestly say, in 40yrs of driving I've never seen anything like that...this is a first...the worst thing that happened to me on this trip was having to use the mens toilets because the womens weren't working...feel sorry for men to be subjected to the filth they face, i will never use them again when offered, i wud rather pee in the middle of a 4 lane hway with a dead roo...by the way i don't own a high viz vest or shirt...but by christ u crack me up...so glad im home safe, they are crazy near Sydney, long w-end double demerit points, I'm doing speed limit they are doing 130 easy, it's a f@cking a mad house...i usually do the back roads, love the truckies out there, yeah yeah, u get the odd one, but most look out...good to see u again, love ur vids, take care mate...
speaking of praying, the strangest thing I ever saw on the road was a Muslim with his prayer mat praying, on the side of the road, about ten klicks to the south of Walcha! and there was no car/bike in sight, was he on a walk to mecca?
She was thanking her favourite "Patron Saint of Roadkill", for guiding her to a fresh & still warm gift from above. Her next thought would be on the mouth watering Roo Tail Soup she would be enjoying for tea that night. LOL 🦘🦴🦘🦴🦘 😋😋👍
Shit she better not go to far in the scrub. Bloody 40 odd years ago we'd have to pick up road kill off the side of the road with a shovel or hands an toss em in the back of the truck. Bloody 35 to 40 degrees and the smell would be pretty ripe after a week or so

At first, I was thinking “broken down”. Then, you mentioned the dead kangaroo, but didn’t mention the possible damage to the front of her car if SHE was the one who hit it in the first place. I’m thinking she has gotten out of her car, checked the pouch for a joey (assuming it was a female) & then once realising it was dead, moved the body off the road & was perhaps preparing to bury it & at least give it a decent burial. Full credit to her if that was the case, but as you said mate… That WAS “too f**kin’ weird” 😳😳😳. R.I.P SKIPPY 🙏😔🦘🦘🦘
I can relate a similar story Shane my man , I was driving back from Bairnsdale Vic towards Sale. It's a pretty straight 100 k road. Had my cruise on and I see a car pulled up ahead and a woman running down the middle of the road towards me dead centre ??????? WTF !!! An Echidna was crossing the road . Well that didn't end well as I slammed my brakes on to stop hitting her , not the poor Echidna . She jumped outta my way at the last second. FFS why do people risk their life doing stupid shit on the roads . ??? Look I love our native animals just as much as any Vegan Greeny , but a fact of life is that Kangaroos are Dumb and will continue to run into you 1st. I collect more in sideways impacts than head on :(
