You all sooo sweet ❤ we had such a great experience at Super Scoops! I (Jamie) still think about how delicious your fudge is! We will definitely be back :)
Ok after watching to the end I'm dying at the outtakes! 😂😂Thanks for the realness. I was just telling my husband yesterday I enjoyed this channel because you two seemed genuine. Love it!
My husband and I visit Treasure Island every chance we get! We are bringing our grandson and loved the beach with the bouncy slide. We will have to make sure he gets to try it out. Thanks for sharing.
I couldn't even begin to imagine how much fun I would have had on Treasure Island as a kid. Unfortunately the closest beach was a few thousand miles away! Oh well... we're making up for it in adulthood 😂 Thanks so much for watching!
Treasure Island sooo awesome. Never heard of it until a year ago when I visited but will be back this year. The beach is beautiful and there's plenty to do. Great for a couple or family chill vaca.
We love Treasure Island and visit from Indiana at least once a year if not more for at least a 7 day vacation. The Bilmar Hotel is the one with the blue dolphin and they have amazing food at sloppy joes and the bilmar beach cafe. Best Gulfshore breakfast sandwich!!! Thanks for a refresh we head out to treasure island next week!
We are happy to hear you get to experience Treasure Island every year, it really is a great choice 😊 way may have to check out the food at the Bilmar Beach Cafe sometime! We hope you have a great visit next week.
We went to Sloppy Joe's a few years ago after checking out the beach during the sand building contest. Had a great dinner with our boys and my folks! My disabled momma loved the ADA walkway. Love your videos! Highlighting why we're working on moving down from MN
Sloppy Joe's is great, and we're so happy to hear that your mom was able to enjoy the beach! We hope you are able to move down to sunny Florida sometime soon!
I'm craving one of those mixed drinks from that tiki bar. They look sooo good! Great video. Glad I watched until the end. "We didn't have pizza!" Made me LOL.
My husband and I vacationed to Treasure Island for my birthday last month. I love everything about the trip. It's a lot of fun things to do there. We had a blast. This video brought back all the fun times
I can’t believe this is Tampa’s next door neighbor and never knew about it until I made a visit last year. I was so impressed! There are no High Rises like the Panhandle has which is fabulous!
I bet. We spend a lot of time out on the islands, but have not yet had a chance to live there. We have considered renting out on Treasure Island or Madeira Beach for a year. Perhaps we will sometime soon!
Excellent ideas for my next visit there. My friends that live less than an hour from the beach sometimes get a hotel room on a random weekend and when I visit we all hang out there.
Treasure Island is lovely both when cloudy and when sunny. I love how wide it is, plenty of room to spread out. Thanks for sharing the great views guys!
I've been visiting Treasure Island for the last 15 years, its my paradise. Foxy's is good for breakfast, cheap, good food and friendly staff. There's a new ice cream store a few blocks down from Super Scoops, next to the filling station, which is really good with more choice. I love walking the beach path and exchanging pleasantries with the locals. Most of these videos go to Caddy,s so was nice to see you show somewhere else.
Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment, Cindy. We visited Foxy's a few years back and really enjoyed it. We are definitely due for a return visit!
Treasure Island is great! Discovered it while beach camping with my girlfriend a few years and loved it. There's a beach tiki bar at the Thunderbird Resort as well. TI has the widest beaches I've ever seen in Florida.
Love us some Florida beaches! Really cool that they allow the plastic cups and cans on the beach, but on a day like you had weather wise we are sure we'd spend a good amount of the day at sea dog. Really cool you can dock your boat there!
We are so happy to hear that you found our video helpful. Those are our favorite types of comments to receive. We hope you enjoy your time on Madeira Beach, Dave!
Just came back from a week-long vacation there. I miss it already!! What a great beach. We stayed at a time share, and it was so low key. Went to Caddy's, Salty Dog Brewing Co., the Shake Shop, Sweet Brewnette (Mad Beach) Frog Pond (St. Pete Beach) and a bunch of other places further out. We had a great time!
Great suggestions, Robert. Unfortunately we were not yet aware of Ka'Tiki when we made this video, but it has grown to be one of our favorite spots to watch live music. And of course you can't beat a sunset at Caddy's either!
Starlight Sunset Cruise- Around $25 - lasts around 3 hours...Dancing & diner/drinks available...Best kept secret in St Pete...Boat is like a large yacht...
Thank you so much! I forgot what shoes I was wearing that day and had to go back and look 😆 they are comfortable for long distances but also easy to kick off to walk in the sand 🙂 Thanks so much for watching!
Treasure Island looks beautiful! Looks like there is so much space there to spread out. You can't bring alcohol onto any of the beaches near where we live. So that is pretty amazing! Thanks for showing us what makes this beach so popular!
Yeah we've found it quite surprising to hear people from different places talk about how they can't bring alcohol on their beaches. I guess we've just been taking it for granted!
Looks like you guys have been going to the beaches often and we are so jealous! Jamie your hat is awesome! 👒😄 Seadog looks like a whole experience, not just beer 🍺 dessert looked delicious!!
Treasure Island beach seems huge..WOW. Did you have the bloody Marries, due to a rough night before ?? HEHEHE, to get your second wind? As we know it is a great drink for a hangover....HEHE. We totally love what you showed, ice cream looked incredible, and to finish of your day at a lovely place for sun-downers.....you cant beat that. Great stuff as always. ONE LOVE
It really is a massive beach. Fortunately the bloody mary was not needed as a hangover cure on this day, although they do serve that purpose quite well!
Caddy's is our go to spot in Treasure Island...being "car people" th logo first drew us in, have you checked out Shrimpy's Blues Bistro....I've always wanted to check it out but haven't made it there yet.
Caddy's Treasure Island is iconic, and for good reason. Like you, we've always wanted to check out Shrimpy's too. We love Cajun food and live music, and we've never heard anything but good things about the place. That said, we still have not made it there for some reason. Someday we may do an updated Treasure Island travel guide video, which would give us a great reason to finally check the place out!
@@Explorcation I know...same here, I keep adding it to my places to stop by list when we head down but we haven't made it there yet either. Terri isn't a big Cajun food fan but I'm sure we could find something on the menu she'd like (chicken is her go to when we're in FL 😁).
Wow, yet another top US beach, you’re so lucky to be so close to these beaches 😁 Craig is loving the Sea Dog brewery! Yay for super scoops...those waffle cones looked amazing! Really big as well!🗽🍦😂 Jamie, Glad to see you wearing your hat that you bought in one of your recent videos, love it! Sunset Jell-O shots 🤩
Yeah making these beach videos is definitely not getting old. We hope that watching them isn't either! I do love the new hat and think I've already gotten my money out of it!
That's so awesome. We've been wanting to visit Maine for quite some time, and probably would have by now if not for COVID. We'll definitely be visiting Seadog (and several other breweries) when we do finally make it up there. Enjoy your time in Florida!
I would have ordered the lavender honey coffee as well! Mmmmmm... the key lime muffin sounds delicious. I always have room for ice cream as well. You can't go wrong with a fresh waffle cone and home made fudge. Yum! I definitely have a list of restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops to try out when I'm in Florida. Btw, glad you were able to retrieve your phone!

Thanks so much for watching and commenting, we hope the videos do help you plan your visit - the area is so fun with endless options for food, drinks and beach time 😀
This seems like a perfect day by the beach! I am all about the bloody Mary's - we have something similar here in Canada but we call it a Caesar. The brewery would definitely be a stop on our day - sounds like an interesting flight as well. The food looked so tasty! I can't believe how big those scoops of ice cream were!! I've never tried a melon colada before, sounds interesting. Glad your phone is water resistant!!
We had a Ceasar when we visited Toronto a few years back, and I do remember enjoying it and thinking it was similar to a bloody mary. Yes, so thankful that my phone is water resistant and lived to see another day 😅
Enjoyed seeing this beach! I didn't know breweries were all around FL. I enjoyed seeing the sunset as well! Once it hits May or June I may have to try and check out one of these beaches!
So fun you have Sea Dog down there too! Great beer. We haven't actually been to one of their breweries yet though - that looked fun! And good for you, Jamie: always have to save room for ice cream 👍 Treasure Island looks really pretty!
We love the Gulf Beaches in December. The weather is usually great, as the days are normally warm but comfortable and it doesn't rain much this time of year. The gulf waters normally are starting to get quite cold by December though, so if you want to spend time swimming in the Gulf, you may want to consider a month or two earlier.
As much as we love a sunbathe/swim on a beach. Walking along a moody beach like this one is so refreshing too. It’s pretty much what we’ve done at our local beach all throughout lockdown in the UK 😅 Was there bacon on that Bloody Mary?🥓 Treasure island beach looks so vast and beautiful! Love the vacation attitude, beers at Sea Dog sounds great!
Yes there was bacon in the bloody mary. It was quite tasty. And we agree that walking on a moody beach can be just as enjoyable as swimming/sunbathing.
It's amazing, every video you guys end up checking out one of the top features in the United States, so cool that you live that close to so many of them. Crazy to see how different parking spots costs so different ranging from one dollar per hour all the way to $5 per hour. I've always wondered about the inflatable slides and stuff at the beaches and whether it was open to the public or not. Good call on saving room for some ice cream.
Yeah this was the first beach we'd been to where parking varied so much. $5 an hour at Caddy's seemed a bit steep to us, but the lot was packed, so people appear to be happy to pay it!
That's great, Mike. We hope our video helped give you a few ideas for your visit. Another place in Treasure Island that we have really grown to enjoy (that we didn't include in our video) is KaTiki. It's a really great place for live music just a block off the beach. Caddy's on the Beach is also a very nice (albeit expensive) spot right on the beach and a block from KaTiki.
@@therrienmichael08 oh yes, especially this time of year. All of the main beaches around here are very busy in March due to Spring Break. We hope you are enjoying your time in the area :)
Great video. It would be even better if you would spend more time showing the beach. Is the sand powdery and white. Is the beach wide or narrow? Is it full of seashells? Is is pristine or lots of eyesores? Beer and egg muffins are great, but I'm going for the beach first and food second. The beach is not number 1 or whatever because of the food. But that is great info, just not the main thing. Very good video and thank you for making it.
Thanks for the feedback, Bill. We have thought about doing a series where we primarily just walk the beach and focus more on the quality of the beach itself. Perhaps we'll make one of those types of videos soon.
@@terriesowell1025 you are right, it is still hurricane season, so that sure is something to consider. But during October, when there isn't a tropical storm or hurricane, the it beautiful.
Great video! Some ideas for your next Treasure Island video: 1) Dunkin that replaced the coffee shop in this video. 2) Afternoon music behind the Thunderbird and their Tiki bar. 3) Dinner at BRGR next door to the Thunderbird. 4) Or dinner at Middle Grounds 5) show everyone the pirate statue in the park. In the park on Friday, there is a flea market happening where they sell lots of fun stuff.
You and us both! It's the main complaint we (and many others) have about many of our local beach towns. We do utilize our scooters a lot, which allows us to park a mile or two from the beach in free parking areas and then scoot the rest of the way (no charge for parking scooters as they can be parked on bike racks), but beyond that (or knowing someone on the island), we don't know of any way to avoid the parking fees.
@@terriesowell1025 the SunRunner is also up and running now. That runs from downtown to St Pete Beach. From there you can hop on the Suncoast Trolley to Treasure Island.
You can bring alcohol on the beach?!? I think we live in the wrong place 😂 Honestly so jealous of these amazing beach adventures you guys are having. Thanks for brining us along with you, we are missing the beach a lot right now.
That's a great question. Unfortunately we do not recall whether or not the handicapped spots on Treasure Island were free. We did just visit Redington Shores public beach though and noticed that the handicapped parking there was free. Thank you so much for watching, Glorivette!
Thank you so much for the feedback, Marie. We are so glad that you enjoy our channel, and we always appreciate constructive criticism and ideas to improve our content as well!
I truly appreciate the information you share but I find the hand on the camera after segments is distracting. Keep in mind we are the camera lens as we watch and it’s like you’re putting your hand in our face. If you want to grow your channel and subscribers I suggest drop that gesture. It’s not adding any value.
Thanks, Brian. We always appreciate constructive feedback, and you are not the first person that we received this specific feedback from. We did actually stop doing the "hand on the camera" transitions a few months back. Thanks so much for watching, and keep the feedback coming!
We appreciate the concern, Brian. We can assure you that we do not drive while impaired. Often times we do all our driving footage before we have a drink. Other times only one of us drinks, or we take an uber or the free beach ride. We do understand that the way the videos are edited, it could appear differently. We'll be more aware of this going forward. Thanks for watching!
They're very safe and not at all impaired when taking their videos. Having one or two drinks is totally safe as long as they know what they're doing! They seem extremely responsible in person, and I'm sure they buy some drinks they don't even end up finishing until later at night just to review them to help the community!

It's a really great place for live music just a block off the beach. Caddy's on the Beach is also a very nice (albeit expensive) spot right on the beach and a block from KaTiki.
@Explorcation
😊 Thanks
John's Pass Boardwalk is a busy place. Parking hard to come by.
Great video! How’s the weather like in Treasure island or St. Pete beach in october? Is it possible to sunbathe?😅
We love the weather here in October. A little cooler and drier than the summer months, but you can still sunbathe and swim in the Gulf!
We've been there a few times. It is their rainy season, but it never has lasted long when we were there. Temperatures are great!
@@terriesowell1025 you are right, it is still hurricane season, so that sure is something to consider. But during October, when there isn't a tropical storm or hurricane, the it beautiful.
Great video!
Some ideas for your next Treasure Island video:
1) Dunkin that replaced the coffee shop in this video.
2) Afternoon music behind the Thunderbird and their Tiki bar.
3) Dinner at BRGR next door to the Thunderbird.
4) Or dinner at Middle Grounds
5) show everyone the pirate statue in the park. In the park on Friday, there is a flea market happening where they sell lots of fun stuff.
Thanks for watching and for the suggestions for additional spots to visit, David!
'we didnt have pizza!' 'oh' lmaooo
LOL yeah Skylar always has pizza on the mind.
Might need to rent one of those wheelchairs just on the account of how drunk I will be 😂
Certainly not a bad idea🤣
Im a bit put off by the cost of parking. IS there a way around it? Is there a day pass for a local tram that you can avoid the parking! thanks.
If you don't have a car, and you stay downtown at a resort you won't need a car. Everything you need is close by.
@@terriesowell1025 the SunRunner is also up and running now. That runs from downtown to St Pete Beach. From there you can hop on the Suncoast Trolley to Treasure Island.
RIP Coffee Grounds. We wanted some so bad today!
How sad. It's been a while since we've been out on Treasure Island and we didn't even know they had closed down.
Cold..... mid 60s....
#Floridacold 😂
You can bring alcohol on the beach?!? I think we live in the wrong place 😂 Honestly so jealous of these amazing beach adventures you guys are having. Thanks for brining us along with you, we are missing the beach a lot right now.
Yeah, the ability to bring alcohol can definitely be a nice perk! Is that pretty uncommon at the beaches in your area?
The city-run snack bar sells it to you, too! TI is the best
I love that we can just pack up a cooler and enjoy the beach!
Him: beer and pizza 🤣 her: we didn’t have pizza lol 😂 my question is how much beer did he have 😭😆😆
I don't think either of us recall the exact amount... but I think it's safe to say the answer is at least 1 too many 😂
Do Handicapped parking pay too or is it free?
That's a great question. Unfortunately we do not recall whether or not the handicapped spots on Treasure Island were free. We did just visit Redington Shores public beach though and noticed that the handicapped parking there was free. Thank you so much for watching, Glorivette!
Why the hand in the camera when finished with a section?
Just a different way of transitioning between shots that we like to use sometimes. Thanks for watching!
I remember when parking was free. Boy how time and local greed have taken over.
Yeah, free parking would sure be nice! Thank you for watching, Ed.
If you get Ice Cream at Super Scoops, it is. Sadly, the City of TI has taken over and charges parking fees, not too much, at every "city" parking lot.
Did the phone survive?
Yes, thankfully it did!
I never want to hear the phrase “social distancing” again- we never complied with anti-science tyrannical submission training.
Excellent. Now, go back and count how many times you said "kind of" and "sort of."
I guess that's our midwestern dialect still shining through 😆. Thanks for watching, Don.
I love the videos but not a fan of the hand in the face/camera thing. It's off putting. Is there another way to transition? Just some feedback
Thank you so much for the feedback, Marie. We are so glad that you enjoy our channel, and we always appreciate constructive criticism and ideas to improve our content as well!
“We didn’t have pizza!!!”
Lol thanks for watching to the end. We both couldn't stop laughing when we saw that clip!
Treasure Island is St. Pete Beach on a budget.
It definitely is a bit friendlier on the wallet!
Thanks so much for watching, and keep the feedback coming!
please stop drinking alcohol while driving your car in your videos?
