Hi everyone, thanks so much for watching! What would you be most excited to do in Indian Shores?! Let us know in the comments. The Seabird Sanctuary is one of our fave spots. We couldn't get enough of those little screech owls!
Our sons were 5 & 7 years old when we stayed at Indian Shores Resort in Sept. 1991. I see the building in the video. What a beautiful walk in the morning & beautiful sunsets.
What great memories you have of your Florida beach town visits. How great it would have been to experience these beaches as children back in the 90's. We were lucky to get more than a couple hours from home on our childhood vacations!
One of my favorite things to do is come here on a saturday morning and see where you two have been and what video you have up ! Cup of coffee and Explocation !!! thanks guys !
Yeah, all the birds on display are lifers that will never be able to be released back into the wild due to permanent disability, so they are pretty social and definitely have no fear of people!
I love this channel!!! We are going to be staying in this area of Florida and your channel is so informative! Thank you for creating this great channel!
Thank you so much for this kind comment, Jessica! We're so glad you discovered our channel, and we hope it helps you to make the most of your vacation here!
I come here every year and our condo is right across from the beach so we can go to the top and watch the he sunset from high up. You should visit Haze Ice Cream, I don’t think that it is still in Indian Rocks but it is definitely nearby. They have many flavors and it tastes so good! You could make a short about it and start a mini series about places you go that can’t make a full video. Definitely my favorite ice cream. Also thanks for showing the Coffee Co because their coffee is amazing! My favorite is their Black Forest. Sorry for the long comment😅
How great that must be do have memories of visiting Indian Shores every year! And thanks for the recommendation on the ice cream and the mini-series idea. We've been considering making long videos (around 25-30 minutes) a couple weeks out of the month and short videos (5 minutes or less) the other two weeks where we just visit one event or maybe one or places to eat/drink. Very nice to hear that you would enjoy watching the shorter ones!
Owl Pocino is the cutest name I have ever heard, love all the birds there! The ultimate Dive bar is such a cool spot, also those Bloody Marys are looking amazing, that's our favorite brunch drink!
@@Explorcation You were so right about Indian Rocks Beach. I went there twice and parked for free next to the Municipal Center. I was disappointed in 1885 Grill. The food was ok but I ordered the special before 5:30 and felt the portions were skimpy. I know you reviewed Roosterfish Grill In Largo recently and their specials are much better.
@@romanm9718 Hi Roman, thanks for coming back to let us know about your experience. Parking at the Municipal Center is great! So sorry to hear you didn't have a great experience with the early bird special :( You are right though, Roosterfish has some solid options!
We've been through the Indian Shores area but haven't stopped...looks like we'll be checking out a few places in the future! I see there's a Caddy's location there as well!!

I've watched several of your videos now and it's been super insightful to planning my 1st trip to this area. We will be splitting up our upcoming trip in May (airbnb in Indian Rocks Beach) & (hotel in st.pete beach).. :) two diff vibes!
You guys vacation a lot like we do! We often try to split up our vacations into a more active/adventurous portion and a more chill/relaxing portion. It's the best way to do it if you ask us! We hope you have an awesome time when you make it down here!
I own a condo in Indian Shores (barefoot beach next to salt rock grill) and I’ve never been to Mahuffers. I knew it was a dive bar but some of the characters I’ve seen coming and going (stumbling) I always steered clear of the place. But now that I’ve seen the inside, I’ll have to check it out. The Bloody Mary looked delicious. Thanks for the peak!
Oh yeah we know exactly where Barefoot Beach is. We've stayed in Indian Shores a couple times not too far from there. And yeah, Mahuffer's is an incredibly interesting place full of equally interesting characters, but we generally enjoy the interesting 😅. We hope you check it out and love it as much as we do!
We don't own but have stayed at BB for years. (My husband proposed in D113 😂) We call it our home away from home. Love Indian Shores so much. Have been planning our move and hope to be nearby soon. 💕
Jamie & Skylar, thanks you so much for recommending Seaside Seabird Sanctuary, we enjoyed watching all the birds, the aquariums and the Ladies' lecture. At the tower we sat in a very comfortable chairs and listened to the ocean waves. Then walked to the shore too. It's a great place to visit and relax surrounding with the birds singing and chirping.
YUM GUYS! So man yummy drinks and yummy food. That apple crisp was definitely a highlight for us! Love that you added mini golf! So fun and even though we not good, we can always drink our worries away. Dive Bar loving adults for the win!
Oh that apple crisp was phenomenal. Thinking about it now makes me want to go get more! And yeah, I don't really think that there's much of a correlation between fun had while goofy golfing and skill level. There may be a correlation with alcohol consumption though 😂

Ugh we're gonna have to watch back through it to find the typo. Definitely one of the downfalls to editing videos late into the night. Yeah we both love owls, and it really is hard to believe that the sanctuary is free to visit. Plus you can walk there right from the beach. It really is too good to be true. Teriyaki tuna is pretty popular around here, and we'd definitely recommend giving it a try if you ever see it in your parts!

How was that amazing beach so empty!? And what a sunset too! Also, I loved that little screech owl... such a horrible name for such a cute bird haha 😂Crazy golf is always fun (we're terrible too)
Yeah we really lucked out with this video. We initially thought it might be tough to make make a good video here since it's a very small town, but it ended up being one of our favorites! The great sunset definitely helped with that!
May I ask....why is such a beautiful beach overlooked by many? We're hopefully coming out in May and looking to stay in St Pete, or surrounding areas...and watch these videos with keen interest.
We think the main reason other neighboring beach towns (mainly Clearwater Beach, St Pete Beach, Madeira Beach, and Treasure Island) tend to be busier is because they offer so much more in terms of bars, restaurants, and shopping. Indians Shores is more of an old Florida beach town and is primarily residential. While you will still have a few good food, drink, and entertainment options within a mile or two, you won't have hundreds within walking distance as you do in some of the other places. So it's a trade-off. Areas with more to do tend to have more crowds. If you are content just relaxing on the beach most of the day and don't care much about dining out and/or nightlife, Indian Shores is a great place to stay. More often than not, we chose it over the more popular spots. We hope this helps. Thanks so much for watching!
It's because our little beach town is mostly residential and just a little sprinkling of Airbnb. Indian Rocks beach and Reddington beach are more "touristy". So, its practically a private beach for its local residents 💙
Hey guys! That beach looks SO amazing, I love finding beaches that are completely empty. What a heaven! Also Cyprus the owl is giving me life - what an absolute cutie! Cheers to the bloody marys also guys! Thanks for the vid :) Emily + Tom
We certainly understand why you want to keep it on the DL, Michael! Hopefully we won't have to worry about turning into the next St Pete Beach anytime soon. Thanks for watching!
We do appreciate the concern, but this is just one day making one video... far from our regular diets. We do agree though that if we were to eat like this regularly we would be well on our way to some health issues!

Free parking and gorgeous beaches in september is what we're talking about! As always you guys are finding the best spots!
Thanks guys. The free parking really is amazing. Definitely makes it worth driving an extra 15 minutes when you can save $10-$20!
@@Explorcation always worth it!! and you can get some extra steps in lol
Hey guys! That beach looks SO amazing, I love finding beaches that are completely empty. What a heaven! Also Cyprus the owl is giving me life - what an absolute cutie! Cheers to the bloody marys also guys! Thanks for the vid :)

Stop letting tourists know about Indian Shores, it's my favorite local beach and we can't have it over run like St. Pete beach.
We certainly understand why you want to keep it on the DL, Michael! Hopefully we won't have to worry about turning into the next St Pete Beach anytime soon. Thanks for watching!
@@Explorcation Next time visit Dog and Parit pub, great food and right across the street from my favorite part of the beach.
@@michaelamos75 will do, Michael. We appreciate the recommendation!
Talk about spiking your blood sugar, you folks eat way too much sugar and carbs, on your way to diabetes.
We do appreciate the concern, but this is just one day making one video... far from our regular diets. We do agree though that if we were to eat like this regularly we would be well on our way to some health issues!
