Far too expensive so only the super rich could afford it but at least the girls kept me watching to the end.
The whole idea of moving to Thailand to be able to retire and live comfortably on a minimal budget therefore 8000 to max 12000 would be more my range.
10k seems to be a sweet spot.
I noticed another TH-cam vlogger has a lovely condo for 8500 a month
I know that there are plently of options for 6k to 7k but at a minimum the room should have a balcony,a nice shower room/toilet,have an oudoor pool and be in a decent location
Agreed, but not everyone is retiring on a limited budget. Some viewers will a very generous pension, so it’s good for Daz to show a range of condos including higher cost properties 👍
$1k a month rent on a decent condo is seen as steal for much of the world

It is interesting to see what you can get for a higher budget. I know these apartments as I know this area well. The apartment is very nice. The only thing is it would be difficult to get a tan around the pool, as the sun passes over that small gap quite quickly at any time of year. I am also looking at retiring to The Algarve, and at this price, the apartment compares quite well, albeit it is more than a 'typical' apartment even at 'Grand Avenue' around the corner. It ticks quite a few boxes for me, despite the price because it is nice and a great location.
After living on the Algarve since 2011 - the last six years spent in Thailand most of the time - I much prefer Thailand, although not Pattaya. Thais are much more pleasant than Portuguese.

Hi daz need to get real with us, 80% of the people want a 1/2 bed villa/ condo (no gym etc) with decent room to swing a cat, close but quiet area on a baht bus route to central Pattaya for a genuine reasonable price. Not these overpriced ( dream) properties, I’m sure you know what I’m saying, need a reality check on what your showing us, just sayin 😏
I think we will have to wait until Low Season really kicks in and the lack of people coming starts to take it's toll before the prices start to come down. At the moment what you want is just not available.

I was disappointed in the summer ,in contact with Alan boltons buisness in the Avenue,they were not interested in my request for a condo for a short term rent and did not appear to want to help at all i shall never call them again....Disappointed to say the least.
I had a bad experience with them over a rental condo, very poor service.
They don't do short term rental

USD 600 is about 20,000 Thai baht, you can easily get a lovely condo for that a month.
