    Man I'm on the late train with this watch but I DONT CARE!!. I just bought the black dial version for sub 300 bucks and man I'm so happy. Yes it's old and going on a decade since release but as far as I'm concerned great watches are like wine. This watch is stunning and gorgeous as much today as it was 8 yrs ago. Thanks for the review.

      One decade later still looks like new, I got it too with the applied steel numbers, favorite dress watch. My second tissot since the prx auto, together they can do everything a man needs, tissot never misses.

    Old video but I just got this watch in with the Chronometer certification. It is new but since it is an old model I assume Tissot sold it to a wholesaler so it ended up being about half of original retail. When I saw the depth on the dial with the textured finish on the side I just fell for the watch. I was looking at a tissot quartz watch for my first Swiss watch but went for an upgrade I guess.

    At 2022, I just got a tissot luxury model with cosc grade power 80 movement with diamond hour marks for $420. This is truly a bargain basement price for Swiss cosc time pieces. I guess Tissot doesn't even bother to recycle unsold watches, and just let the general public enjoys the gravy market high quality watches for less. Loving it!

    • @han7902
      @han7902 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@everythingautomotiveeta5839 later I found the entire luxury line watches are using plastic escapement with it's 23 jewels C07.111 movement, and Tissot also remove the spring wheel adjustment from the movement. With such low price, these Tissot watches are almost not worth servicing when time comes, and become disposable watches in a few years...

    I bought this watch on the leather strap. It really character with different straps. Great, subtle, classy watch. The dial takes on the color of the room you are in, goes from cold steel to warm champagne. The way the chapter ring dives down near the bezel, and exposes the applied indices, is the highlight of the dial, and a detail that my eye wanders to a lot. I picked mine up for $299 at Jomashop, great deal.

    I bought a stainless steel black dial black leather strap Visodate on a cruise ship last Oct. for $550US duty free. I like it, but it runs about 20 seconds fast daily. Then I ran into the Powermatic 80 in St. Lucia Caribbean, selling for $505US. It is not exactly like this one, a more plain dial with Roman Numbers and stainless steel. The sales lady told me Brietling's Powermatic 80 is selling for over $7,000. I am testing my Tissot and for more than 64 hours after it was fully wound, it runs strong sitting on my desk, and with death accuracy. I love it. I only thing I wish more is that it has a leather strap like the Visodate's. For the money, they are worth every penny.

      Hi Hon
      How is the accuracy of your Tissot? +- how many seconds per day?

    • @siuhhonkeung
      @siuhhonkeung 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It was fast by 20 seconds per day. I sent it back for adjustment. It was told it was sent back to Omega and now it is dead accurate, almost like a quartz watch. They even gave me a test report (which I don't understand).
      I then bought a Powermatic 80 Tissot in January for $500 USD in St. Lucia. This one is every accurate, no need for adjustment. After full winding, it lasts for 86 hours.

      Buy it on a bracelet and you can easily change it to a leather strap (I did the same for my watch). The lug width of the strap is 22mm, so plenty of straps are available : )

    The price point really doesn't allow for such a feature, and it's not entirely necessary since while the 80 hours is relatively long, it's not near the magnitude of 5+ days which makes the reserve very useful. It would be nice though yes.

    • @nycneprep2136
      @nycneprep2136 9 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      You sure are a noob, u misunderstood 80 hour power reserve.Automatic watches run lifetime as long as you wear them.This has 80 hour reserve ,meaning you can leave it unworn for 80 hrs.

    • @larap843
      @larap843 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a mechanical watch, not a quartz watch with a battery. Mechanical watches work because they have a rotor that gives them power when you move the watch, or because you manually wind the crown to recharge them every 40-80 hours. This means that if you wear this watch at least every two three days you don't need to reset it, because the movement of your wrist keeps it going. if you leave it in a drawer, after 80 hours it stops.

  • @traviss0
    @traviss0 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Love W&W but you are allowed to be critical. Every watch you review seems to be flawless.
    I would bet money if they increased the BPH reducing the power reserve instead of saying how you appreciate the "practicality" you would say you love the choice they made to make the sweeping hand more smooth (even at the cost of power).
