    I watched this video 3 or 4 times before deciding to buy the belt and do this myself. After watching the video, I bought the Hunterworks belt and clutch puller and it was as easy as described! I even used the dreaded impact method!! This video was the reason Hunterowrks got my business. Thanks again.

    Thank you for posting these videos! Wonderful demonstration and explanation. Had to laugh at your "dumb ass" comment and attitude... spot on: only way to handle the ugly side of comment boards IS to chuckle. I just "inherited" my brother's RZR 900S since he owed me some money, and because he's upgrading to a 4-seater for his kids (says he's gonna miss the 900S). Anyway, I don't have a lot of mechanic experience but am excited to learn these basics. Appreciate your efforts to share your knowledge. I'll be picking up a Hunterworks belt. Next I need to learn how to change the oil... my husband will think he's died and gone to heaven.

    Thank you for the video for it was easy to follow. I do have one strong suggestion though and that is maybe add a highlight to the video where you are reinstalling the six bolts on the clutch cover to make sure you line up the X on the cover to the X on the stationary sheaves. I did this thinking I would have to pull the primary clutch cover off again but by shear luck I lined up the X correctly. Just suggestion and other than great videos for Im getting educated fast on the services on my RZR.

    I leave the secondary unbolted, and put the belt on with the secondary open to save from twisting the belt back on. Same way you took the belt off by unbolting the secondary works for putting it back on with ease.

    • @Hunterworks
      @Hunterworks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe for you but if done wrong, the belt sits low in the secondary, when you tighten it, it tightens against the belt, then when you drive it, the belt moves up and the secondary is loose. If done correctly it can be done and you seem to know that method, but not one we would show anyone, too much liability for us using that method

      @@Hunterworks hope so. Sat night I was riding and suddenly at about 30 it wouldn't speed up so I let off and gassed it again and same. Then engine light came on and it made noise so I stopped and towed it home. Came down with covid and been sick as a dog since and worrying about it. Sure hope that's all it is. Thanks I'll let you know when I feel like checking it

    Would you please tell me what size socket is needed for the drive clutch bolt? Even the dealer does not have that info. You said the secondary clutch uses a 15 mm socket. Thanks. Can a person put the belt over the secondary, then install it and tighten the bolt down? You did not address that in your video. Thanks - Bill - NW Oregon

      It's 21mm but you lost on second part. We have videos for removing and reinstalling secondary

      @@Hunterworks Thank you for the fast reply. I really appreciated this video. I'm old and try to pack emergency tools in my cargo box - including an impact gun for flat tires on my trailer or Rzr. In this video you show removing and re-installing the secondary, but not with the belt in it, Is that possible? If you have a video on this, please send me the link or the title so I can search for it. If you have no video on this, I guess I'll learn when I finally have to replace a belt. Bill -

    What happens to the engine if you put the belt on the by turning the engine the opposite direction? We did this to a friend's machine and his engine now has zero compression now.... No warning labels... It ran before we took the belt off and now it's got zero compression... Does it break the timing chain tensioner??? I popped off the oil fill cap and can see the cam turning... I'm at a loss... He does have a warranty on power train. I can't imagine turning the engine the opposite direction (not even a full turn) will cause catastrophic failure.

      @MrChochi01 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jesse Fritz I’m interested about this because I see no issue turning an engine backwards when it’s off

    • @JF32304
      @JF32304 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrChochi01 it's nearly catastrophic failure. The timing chain jumps time and will bend valves. The whole top end needed to be rebuilt.

    Hello, I’ve been struggling to pull off my primary for a couple hours now. It got submerged and think that it’s rusted shut. My puller is good but not sure if impact is strong enough. Any suggestions? Already tried the hammer and don’t want to do the grease bomb trick.

      If the hammer deal does not work, you have nothing to lose trying any other method before cutting it off.
