Making mistakes with to much or not enough of spices cause i improvise with more vegetables but it becomes always delicious anyway. today I made it again. now waiting this minimum 15 min till the moment of thruth.
I prepared this tonight. I was almost out of cashews and had to use shoestring carrots but it still turned out amazing! Thanks to your easy to understand step by step directions I was actually able to prepare this dish! Thank you for sharing Bumbi!

Lovely Pulao Bumbi. I especially liked it as it was made without garlic or onions and so can be eaten during any fasts in India. You must be having a great time watching the birds visiting our balcony🦉🐤🍀
I make this quite frequently Veena as it is so easy to make with less prep work. Oh yes the birds are a great pleasure to watch. Wish I could show more of their activities but they are so scared of the camera and it is very hard to take their pictures.

In all Indian families we are taught to pick out those whole spices while eating and discard them at the side of our plates. For beginners who are completely new to Indian cooking I suggest to discard those whole spices before serving (whatever catches your eyes). Big ones like cinnamon stick, bay leaves easily catches your eyes. The cardamom pods and cloves usually escapes our attention.
