It is amazing how the video is about the best cooling mattress toppers but there is no description of real world experience of how each topper performs throughout the night in terms of cooling. How on earth do you know these are the best toppers then?
I was thinking the same thing. I would stick with a brick and mortar store like Bed Bath and Beyond or macy's where you can return it if it doesn't work. This seems more like a paid ad then a real user review

Hey guy, right after you extoled the virtues of latex, you laid out the five top cooling toppers, of which only one was latex. The other four were either memory foam or down, which you just described as hotter to sleep on.
If I was going to use a cooling topper I thought the Layla sounded great with the infused copper although $50 for the Lucid seems like an awesome deal.
The Lucid 5-zone is definitely a good deal. However, it's definitely not as soft as the Layla and doesn't have as much of that thick memory foam feel.
For back sleeping, the Lucid is going to be great though. That zoning really supports the lower back.
I have a latex mattress but like the feel of memory foam....might try one.

I like to lucid 5 but it's funny that I have a split California King which means I have to purchase the twin XL toppers with the lucid 5 it's $80 versus $44 for every other size.
I ordered the Visco. I hope it brings new life to my mattress. If not I will have to bite the bullet and buy a new one.

I am looking at just the Avocado and Birch mattress toppers only now. Which would you buy for a heavier side sleeper (250lbs)? Are these worth the difference of $300 as compared to a Pure Green Latex Mattress topper for $200-$300 less (all natural)? Lastly, is 2inch latex best or should I opt for 3inch for a med/firm bed (Big Fig). Thank you !!!
So, I have yet to try out the Pure Green Latex topper, but I have heard great things. Between the Avocado and Birch, I would go with the Avocado Plush topper. Also, when it comes to choose a 3 inch topper as it should offer some more pressure relief than a 2 inch.

Can someone please help me. My husband is a big guy about 230. I weigh about 170. We are both side sleepers. I get hot easily. We’re having a horrible time with pressure/pain. We have a firm hybrid mattress. We cannot afford a different mattress right now. We’re needing a topper to help us until we can afford a softer mattress. Can anyone make a suggestion for us?

Would the latex topper be good for a stomach sleeper?
Out of all of these, it is the best match for stomach sleeping. I personally got enough support stomach sleeping on the Avocado.

Yeah, it is made of lower-density memory foam than some other memory foam toppers. Lower-density memory foam can crack and tear.
While it is a very low price, it might not last as long as other toppers.
We have an old Mattress my partner doesn't want to throw it out as he has had it for a long time prior to my moving in. It is a coil spring mattress he can't feel the coils but because I am a bit heavier than he is I can. I also run ultra hot and half the time I am tossing a turning trying to get cool and sometimes I wake up because I am sweaty. Needless to say since moving in I have not been sleeping well at all. I need a mattress topper that will not only give me a little bit of cushion but also will make sleep cooler. Which one is really better for ultra hot people? I am a side sleeper too.
Hey Jesse! I think the Layla is going to be your best bet here. It's great for side sleeping and quite cool as well.
If you sleep extremely hot, I would also take a look at the ChiliPad. It's not a foam topper per se but you can actually control the temperature of the top of your mattress with the ChiliPad.

Sounds like you've got a serious heat problem. Consider sleeping on a pool doughnut or any kind of inflatable in your pool. They sell them in double wide. Includes attached inflatable pillows.

Which ones are machine washable?
You won't be able to machine wash any of these toppers. They are too large, and you don't want to get these materials wet.
I don't know if anyone else had this experience, but I got the Lucid based off of this recommendation and it is like a heating pad!!! It was comfortable but as hot as if it were being heated up. Super disappointing! But I guess that can happen when you go to the more affordable side. Hopefully I can return and try something else.
It's memory foam so you chose the hottest. All the gel, copper infusion, and channels and valley's in the world aren't going to make memory foam cooler. If all those gimmicks actually worked, they'd show you a temperature test. And they never do.
What about combos? For instance, I’m interested in the best combo cooling topper and waterproof cover. Might the addition of a waterproof cover reduce the effectiveness of the cooling features? Things that make you go...”Ummm?”
Can you tell me which waterproof covers you are looking at? It is possible it could affect the cooling features of the topper.

Guys I am always body temperature hot even on a cold day. If you touch me, you might mistake my body as a portable heater. Any suggestions on simply a mattress Topper that can give me a sort of 'Air condition' feeling. That's the one I'm after...

This mattress is horrible from tempurpedic I bought a Calking and two weeks in I have given up and can say it’s horrible. They also will not accept returns which I wasn’t aware of.

You shouldn't get anything using real feathers because they pluck the birds alive, let them grow more feathers and do it again repeatedly. It's cruel and no need for it when there are companies who make products without causing harm to animals. Not going to listen to any of your advise here because of your support of that, as well as you saying the same thing for each topper when you clearly haven't used any over night because you gave no personal input into it, just spewed what the package says
