- This video showcases my ENTIRE portfolio I used to apply to art school - I put this together in a week but this is an accumulation of much more than that (I tried to include pieces in here that span my whole career as an artist and show my complete range & versatility!)
I applied to RISD early decision and, amazingly, I got in! I worked really really hard on this portfolio so wanted to share it with you guys on here :)

+ I've been drawing and making art since I was small but only over the last five years or so have I realised that it's something I want to take seriously - I love combining my art and creativity with more design-y projects & making things functional!
+ My Common App essay was about my dreams & how art is essential to my everyday wellbeing (I went over it so many times that it was really polished) & is available behind a small £1 paywall over on my Patreon

GOOD LUCK!! Art school / any uni applications can be really stressful - so be sure to leave enough time to put everything together // make a spreadsheet of everything you need to do to stay organised. Don't stress too hard about it though - and if you have any other questions about applying to rhode island school of design or any other art school then you can ask me if you want (though admissions officers would probably be more qualified to answer your questions correctly!)

I love this and it gave me confidence as an artist in my junior year of high school. I don't have perfect accuracy or skill, but I can design and compose for sure. This is the best, and most out-of-the-box portfolio I've ever seen. Your style is what I'm trying to reach towards and I'm going to experiment more with design and creativity, rather than skill.

Now this is a portfolio that any art school just can't say no to, I aspire to create one like that. The portfolios that I've seen so far, no offense to the artists but they were all so generic and alike but this is truly so creative

I LOVE the Digital Layering Series!! I didn't know you could do That & was considered Art (well officially)!!
I'm not exactly an artist artist, but am so interested in the Graphic Design world, and LOVE ART!! I also love how you digitized it to make it seem original/classic, because I also Love History!! This isn't like all the *modern art I see nowadays and especially on social media. I Love how you were about to mix it up together to portray and send mixed feelings of emotions!! 🥰🥰 This is how far I've seen from this video (2mins.) and I'm already In Love!! #1) Is this type of art generally called Art Layering ?? I tried searching for more examples of art like this and couldn't actually find Any of them similar to this!! The closest I saw was basically: Half Photography + Digital Art/Graphic Design....?? Yet None of them have this same aspect to it. It's basically just the same special effects we see on ad commercials.
#2) How DID You complete This?? (Especially curious about the "Boy on the Train" art piece. Is there a tutorial you've done or something?? Would absolutely Love To Learn this some day!!
Is it basically just taking a photo and using an art platform to turn the background into like a painting theme?? OR was it actually painted on some points?? Either way, it's digitized, right?? It's just SOO AMAZING!! REALLY!! 🥰🥰 Was much art experience needed or is simple photography and art programs needed/used??

I don't really know what it's called! I just made it up really - have a look on my website if you want to see more, plus also take a peek at Monika Grzymala's work too!
I worked from a photo reference on my computer, tracing outlines and colour blocking until I could eventually delete the pic and be left with something recognisable. autodesk sketchbook is my app of choice but am sure there are alternatives out there that are better.
