Point to note is that the air cylinder is running full length below the barrel shroud, as well as another half inside the foregrip below that cylinder,
Very nice video, I have the 25 caliber Avenger with the synthetic stock. i do have Donny FL barrel extender and a V2 lockdown barrel band. now i have mine tuned to shoot NSA29 grain slugs, reg 2700-2800. I have it set to take out coyote . I have a 8th inch steel plate, at 65 yards it leaves deep imprints in it. if anyone doubts it ill put up a pic.
Wow it’s cool that you just tree this video up and I just tuned my .25 cal Avenger for NSA 26.8 grain slugs at 880 FPS with the reg set at 23-2400 psi hammer spring maxed then back half a turn. Just a laser beam. 1/2” groups at 65 yards🔥🤙❤️ BTW…leave the fillprobe in the gun and just cap it. I have been doing it for over 3 years and have never lost one or had one even slightly fall out🤙👍💯🇺🇸💪 Yes I hunt and do pest control and never have lost one ever! The Avenger now comes in a wood stock too. Soon you will be able to buy just the stock. Sometime in June presumably according to PUA.
I have the .25 caliber version of the avenger.. it's a cannon!! I HAD a problem with critters.. not anymore!! As far as the plastic stock goes??? I live in the Houston area where it's hot and humid 11 months out of the year so the plastic stock might actually last longer here. No gripes though. That DAR looks awesome too.
Ok I'm a 55 Year old male and was big into pellet guns in the 80s had a cross man 760 I think it was a pump gun 10 max . I want to know what gun I should buy now 2022 I like the air venturi 22 or 25 . I see all the advice from you guys and it didn't help me me at all just confused me how about just being a good person and talk to me like it was the old days ... What is the best cal. To buy for small game hunting and target shooting. Wood stock or composite? I'm no pro I'm just a good person that likes to shoot air rifles. I want a air venturi gun but don't know what to get. Help me in English please. Thank you
Nice review, thanks for sharing. I am a relative PCP newby, but have acquired the Avenger in 25 cal, and 22 cal. The 22 cal is one of the new wood stock models. The wood stock is a nice upgrade. Both guns are very accurate. 22 cal at 1400 psi reg gets about 100 shots, 25 cal at 2200 psi reg gets about 24 very powerful shots.
@Nasier Omran I shot a few but not over a chronograph. I was watching another vid where someone was testing the 25 cal, and velocity gain past 2200 reg pressure was not too much, but it used the air faster.
@Nasier Omran Here's a better power tune from Airgun Angie. She found equal power at 2400 reg pressure, as at 2900. th-cam.com/video/RIg1zUUcWbY/w-d-xo.html
Install a pound of plumbers putty in the rear of the stock. Quick, cheap way of quieting down the sound of the stock and also makes it balance better and makes for a great bench shooter.
Hi, since you own both, which is has more power? more penetration? Umarex Gauntlet or Air Venturi Avenger? I am looking for something that has more power at some long distance target shooting (more than 100 meters)
Great review. I'm trying to decide between the Gauntlet 2 and the Avenger wood version. Both same price. Which one would you get. This will be my first pcp
the gauntlet 2 does not have any adjustment for hammer spring or air pressure but has much better shot count, but it also is heavier. i like the weight and adjustability of the avenger wood stock but you will get like double the shot count out of the gauntlet 2
If you get the Gauntlet 2 get it from Hajimoto and have I'm set it up. The Avenger is a great gun but it has nothing on a Hajimoo Gauntlet build. His Gauntlets shoot laser beam accurate with 30% more power.
A few things. First of all, your presentation is clear and informative, for which I thank you. A few things that you should be able to fix: Your camera person keeps making clicking noises, and his/her shadow appears to be scratching at fleas - quite distracting. In your camera settings, INCREASE the exposure a little so that there's effectively more light on your face. What the camera is trying to do is compromise between the bright outdoor light it "sees", and the lighting inside the house - but the outside light is winning, so YOU have to take control and tell the camera what you want. Otherwise, I'll say it again, I enjoyed the presentation.
I’d say this comparison tips the scale to the Air Venturi, but either one would be a great choice for me. I have a wood stock air rifle and always thought it to be overly heavy.
I wouldn’t...they don’t even have a working phone number on their website and don’t respond to emails asking for one. Just imagine the CS you would get. Lol
@@nickmeinert6255 Yeah this is my first PCP gun ever! I hope I made the right choice. I don't have a bottle or compressor so I got to figure out what to buy to get it aired up. I come from a long history of 10/22 rimfire rifles but with the new government and ammo shortages and high ammo prices I figured I better get into the PCP game.
I got one in .25 its sick. I have the reg at 2800, and 4 1/2 turns on the hammer spring. 850 fps with 34 grainers. I DID do an o ring delete mod where I upgraded to a polyurethane ring. It seemed to add around 25 fps.

First question. What do you intend to use it for target shooting hunting. That will be the biggest factor right there.
Probably hunting and pest control.
@@josephdale5400 For me my go to cal is .25 now. Lean towards the Avenger. It is the better of the two guns and affordable.

Friend you have to film from the other side of the table where the guns get the light of the sun. Now it's to dark to see the guns.
thanks for the tip
I just told him to go to the camera's settings and INCREASE exposure. That's all he needs to do.
Very nice video, great information on both those Airguns Nick.
thank you sir

good idea
I used airsoft ammo - lightweight and quiet.

Can’t go wrong with either. But most are leaning towards the Avenger.
my gauntlet is more powerful because it has a bigger plenum
How do you have the bipod mounted on the DAR?
I don’t they are shooting sticks.
I will receive my DAR 22 Thursday. How did you mount the bipod?
I use shooting sticks with this gun.
I have a bad shoulder, so I have a hard time holding it steady. I have to shoot off a rest or bipods
So basically I shoot targets only
I'm shooting FX hybrids out of my 25 caliber Avenger spray them with silicone and let them dry it tightened up my groups at a hundred yards
yeah i use balistol on all my slugs to lightly lubricate them does make them shoot better
Great review of two nice guns , thanks and God bless

So, where can you actually buy the avenger for $300?
Air gun Depot and pyramid Air had them for $299 but now they went up to $349.. everywhere and the wood stock is $449
Used?
I've been waiting for the dar to come back into stock for like a year

How about accuracy?
Both are very accurate the avenger is less pellet/slug fussy
OK now let’s get down to business how do they shoot.
For me they both shot well, I found the avenger to be less pellet/slug fussy
Very informative presentation, gentlemen.
