Yeah the wood air venturi avenger is nice . ...having just bought an air rifle, next time I'm shopping for a rifle I'll definitely give the avenger a look for sure. ...another great video rick.take care
I have had my avenger in .22 plastic for quite some time now. I’ve had zero issues with it. Here’s my take on the wood, it’s about the aesthetics. Plastic stock bothers a lot of people but if you’re caring it around the woods all day the weight factor is important. After using that Gun for many many hours I know what I can do and I know what the Gun can . I’ll sit down with anybody that’s got a Woodstock and match them hole for a hole , that’s how I feel about it. Like I said the advantage to me of the plastic stock is when you’re carrying it around in the woods there’s a big difference in the weight factor. The squirrels in the stew don’t know if they got shot with a plastic stock or Woodstock Everyone was screaming about the stock so they changed it up toward. They also change the price. Buy the plastic and spend the extra money on a pie and scope you won’t regret it
I have a .22 and .25 with the plastic stock. I bought both when they were selling for $299. The wood stock specs say that the weigh 7lbs and the plastic stock 6.4lbs so weight isn't an issue. Having said that I would still get the plastic stock if I were buying today. The wood stock isn't going to improve accuracy so I would use the $80.00 difference in price to buy pellets.
That one was my second choice real nice gun i like the 25 because I have the origin 22 coming thanks for your hard work on the reviews i appreciate you.
Great summary. I’d like to know if they’ve changed the poppet? Y’all saying your black plastic stock is running fine that’s good but it’s a matter of time. Hope you get to hold onto longer Rick. Keep up the good work.
Set the reg to 1500 and the hammer spring to about 1.5 to 2 turns in from all the way counterclockwise and call it good. Crazy power with reg set all the way down there.
Great vid Rick ! I dunno I just have a hand pump. Got a compressor just haven't got around to unboxing it yet its the Chinese model with the writing on the side.
My origin pump quit after about twenty fills and was able to repair it , sorry to hear that you are having similar problems ,the rifle is great but the pump is not so great ,good luck
This is an awesome rifle. It's starting to look like airguns are going the way of computers, flat screen TVs and cellphones. The technology is trickling down to the lower priced guns. Before long you will see a comparison between a $500 and $2,000 dollar gun. And there won't be much difference.
Heith, I think we are already there. I bought the Daystate Redwolf ($2900) to discuss this very point. At 50 yards, I don't think you'll see much difference. Where the difference will start to play out is when you get to 75 and 100 yards. Can't wait to start sharing that footage. Cheers AGW
I’m sorry to be critical but no you really don’t need a compressor. You don’t need to fill this to 4300. It will work fine at 3-3.5k. You just aren’t going to get as many shots. I know you know this but it misleads new airgunners. I’ve read many pump reviews complaining it won’t get my avenger to 4K. I want to yell..then pump it to 3k it will be fine!! As you stated in the video 2900 on the reg is crazy. You can drop it all the way to 1800 and get 870 out of an 18 gr pellet. Then you can shoot from a 3 k fill down to 1800 and still get a good shot count.
If you want to get all the shots you can you need to fill to 300 bar. If you are happy to hand pump to less you certainly can. But to to get the most out of this gun, you should take it to 300 bar. Cheers AGW
When I first bought my avenger I think it took me 180 pumps to get it all the way to 4300 and it wasn't bad... You can use a hand pump for it I didn't even break a sweat and I'm 45 years old 😋👍🎯🎯🎯🎯

I put blue loctite on the pic rail screws, the barrel band screws, the shroud screw, the stock bolt and my scope rail screws. I haven't experience any point of impact shifts.
@@Joe-mr1wn I too had to shim the top picatinny rails to level them before putting on my scope. Used a playing card to get the thickness needed to level them.
Just curious, most of my neighbors are anywhere from 100 ft to 300 yards away. They are not 20 ft from my muzzle. Maybe in the future you could show us the db reading from100 ft to 100 yards?? Just curious. Thanks for the informative video.
Hey there BC.. I hate doing DB readings because they are so subjective. I've only added them back in because folks want some sort of reference point. I'm at 4600 feet.. so what you may hear at 100 feet or 100 yards at my location, in the wide-open, is not relevant to any other application.. but up close, knowing that I'm getting 106 and other guns may get more or less, that provides a reference point, even if it's a small one. I'll keep doing it this way and if another reviewer wants to take noise level at range, that would be cool for them to do. As a note, at 100 feet, the report of this gun would be minimal. Cheers AGW
