Here’s a video on taking a heater into the middle of nowhere and having a shower and all of a sudden there’s a beautiful hose hooked up to it but nobody talks about where the water comes from. You need a pressurized water source that’s from 12 V pump and that 12 V pump requires power to run it i.e. solar panels and Inverter, etc. So where does the water come from from? Maybe you should do a video on that
THIS!!! Even Camplux claims they work for “tent camping” but I can’t find anyone talking about how they’re connecting water source. Even if we figured out how to connect it to the large farm tank in back of truck it would still required a pump + power source ☹️
@@Freddyfasb The heater itself yes…but they require a pump in order to regulate water pressure going into the unit. No one talks about how they are powering the pump or accessing a water source with proper flow.
If youre camping in the woods you could just get a portable battery charge water pump and use water straight from a lake or river (bring a long enough hose)
Very helpful video thank you, do you happen to know how you would connect the water to a 5 gallon bucket if you don't have a garden hose with water supply handy ?
Quite helpful but needed to show connecting to a water source. For example, do you require a pump (sold extra) or can it flow by vacume from your water source to the heater? Cheers
Yeah, I've watched a lot of these since I'll be building one next summer off grid. While we will have a camper with a gas generator/deep cycle marine + a portable LiFePo4 diy solar power source I'm building this winter, it would be nice if these contributors would mention the 3.x+ psi minimum water input these heaters require to function! (Even many of the Amazon descriptions lack this crucial info, thus many of these are "frequently returned items" lol) Every video is someone in their back yard hooked to city water, or an elaborate system with an electric inline pump, or a system that is built below a hill (elevated water is higher up) etc. Finding a video with a gravity fed system while off-gridding on LEVEL ground is like finding a unicorn! To achieve 3.6 psi+, the water tank needs to be 10' in the air, there a formula lol! Which means a rain collection tarp above that, filter, etc feeding the tank. If it doesn't rain? "ALL" you need to do is grab an inexpensive water bladder, go fill it with a hose or transfer pump from a fresh source, then use that same ELECTRIC TRANSFER PUMP YOU'RE TRYING TO AVOID USING IN THE FIRST PLACE to fill your 10' high tank! Lol. ORRRRRR, get a 5 gal stainless pump Jerry can and mix boiling water you can make over a campfire with cold water 1:4 and save $$$$, attach a hose and shower head to the "out fitting" and be clean. Or you can also just smell like a hipster for days! Lol
This was an exact replacement for the old one that lasted about 10 years. th-cam.com/users/postUgkx7yWIKcrbA9KMHkGSfcgxW2lsjHT6B8Sh The top of my mitigation tube by my roofline was just a 90 elbow which allowed too much debris to fall down into the fan, eventually ruining it. Without this issue, I bet it would have kept running another 10 years. When I replaced this fan, I added an extra elbow joint so the top tube now it does a 180, which should solve that problem. The radon guys around here wanted to charge me a $300 diagnostic fee, then parts/labor (probably close to $600 total). I installed this all by myself in about an hour for the cost of the fan; it would probably be even easier/faster with two people. FYI the manufacturer's warranty greatly differs depending on whether you install it yourself (1 yr warranty) or have a licensed installer do it (10 yrs).

Well it heats up pretty quickly as it is "on demand". I've only connected this to an "endless water supply" but it does heat up very quickly, super fast. There are different models too. The one in the description is good(the link is there), and there are others I think that are better but cost more. Good luck.
you need a double outlet plumbing joint, the water passes the pump, hits the double outlet, 1 stream of water going through the water heater (hot), the other direct (unheated) to the mixer tap.
Hi I enjoyed your video. So my problem is my campflux is to hot. I have a 12 volt pump connected to it because I am off grid. I have the water on min along with the gas on min but the water is hot. Any hacks or suggestions to get my water not as hot? I will say I enjoy my camplux. Alicia
It would take a slight knowledge of plumbing, but if you install a "Tee" in supply cold line and a "Tee" in the output hot line and connect the 2 with a shutoff valve, you can then turn the valve on a little bit which will mix in some cold water. If it's a permanent install, you could use a shower valve, connecting the hot to the hot side of the shower valve and Tee into the cold line to supply cold water to the shower valve, and then it would work like a regular shower.
Per propane tank? A lot!! I don’t even know because it’s so many. One regular size tank should last you a long time. I’m trying to remember but k think at least a few months.
Thank you for your video great information was just wondering what you would think about I've seen some people do this I have a portable hot tub and I was going to put one of these units on the side of my house to heat my hot tub during the colder winter months maybe leave it on low when I'm not using it and then turn the temperature up when we want to get in even through the snowing months would you have any advice on that and thank you so much
