    Heck yeah! Nice Honda build. I love the clean and simple look. Beautiful Bill's pipe.

    Jacob, it looks on the takes around the track exactly as you say - the rear end is midway through the stroke while the front looks almost completely extended. This on almost all the video takes. If the bike was yours, definitely needs the next stiffer spring on the Showa shock. I see that Bill's pipes still in business. Great looking bike! The 8th generation Honda frame is much more flexible than this one. 👍👍

    I did a complete rebuild on an 02 runninh stock carb but i swapped out the s9 nozzle with an s7 and it cleaned up the bottom end bog. The bike rips.

    I have a 03 on it’s second rebuild with with a FMF gnarly, a turbo core 2, keihin carb, VForce 3 reeds, and 50 tooth rear sprocket. Bike is an absolute beast in the woods has a lot of bottom end you can lug it out no problem I can let it idle for 15 minutes without fouling a plug

      @@vitalmx hahaha I'm just messing with you guys. It's a shame the market is what it is, every winter I'd do a frame up on a late 90's early 00's 2 stroke to keep me out of trouble and entertained. But people want 2k for a blown up 125 so I've since slowed down on the projects and if anything I'm thinking about doing a 08+ 250f build next. But, long live the 2 strokes, thank God for Yamaha and KTM. P.S. this CR is beautiful, take care guys. 🤘😎

    @VitalMX, Terry Varner has an issue in the Motocross Action magazine February 2023 building the fastest 150 and i wonder why the magazine would use him knowing he has an issue with peoples builds and sending him money and him not responding. So weird to me that a reputable magazine would use this guy. I do want answers from them.

    Watching this July '23 waiting on my Lectron Billitron Pro w low rpm metering circuit cant wait to throw it on our '02. Just bought bike from a kid that put a chinese Keihin clone on it and its burning electrodes off and bike slips into rich mode and spooges everywhere.

      I have an 02 CR250 basically bone stock and cherry like a time capsule, under 5-6 hrs on it. What is the best carb to put on it and do I really need one if it’s stock?

    Put the oem front fender and numberplate back on the bike, new sharp front fenders does not match the old round shrouds and rear numberplates.

    Is he running the stock showa shock with some coatings or is it a factory shock?

    • @yamahakid450f
      @yamahakid450f ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's 'A-kit' forks with built stock shock body, not factory... no one can get that stuff outside of factory team riders. Most people can't even use production A-kit to it's potential, so if you rode his bike you'd probably hate it because it's way too stiff and rigid. Take your stock stuff and do a simple revalve with 'Gold valves' for your ability, have it sprung for your weight (with gear), and set the sag, that is enough for 90% of people or more... Stock suspension is damn good these days, just need it set for you. Better off doing that and then learning how the suspension works inside and out, how to feel what the bike is doing and which way to go to fine tune what you have.. Whether it's adjusting HI/low speed on the shock, or compression dampening on the forks and rebound, most people get their stuff back from a builder and either not touch it, or go completely the wrong way and get lost, before reverting back to the settings it started at. People think just throwing more money at it will make it amazing, it won't, spend less by getting what I recommended and spend time learning instead of money, it's a far better investment and it'll dial you in far better than a suspension guy who's basically giving you a generalized set up (gets you in the ball park on settings after the revalve and being resprung) based on previous customers feedback whos of a similar skill level as a they claim to be, which unfortunately, many people claim to be a class better than they actually are out of ego, so they get back suspension that's set up for a faster and more agressive rider, which clickers won't fix that. No suspension guy can get you perfect unless they go to the track with you and spend time...Even then depending on track, conditions, and dirt, it can very a click or two and unless you can give accurate feedback of what it's doing, they're just guessing or going off how they see the bike reacts visually. Plus, if you learn about suspension, then it'll be easy for you to not only dial in your own bike, but install your own valve stacks, springs, and rebuild your stuff when it needs fresh oil, inner/outer seals, upper/lower bushings, and wipers. That's a big money saver and keeping your suspension fresh is one of the most critical things..bad or dirty oil makes your suspension feel terrible on its own

      What did you think of the engine though because I had a 06 and still have my 07 and from factory were trash compared to my 2000. Fouled plugs and if you leaned them out far enough they started detonating and constantly needed retunes. Did you have engine work?
