4:40 you guys recognise him from when he was far younger.. But somehow DON’T recognise him from his time as a main character in 4 seasons worth of BURN NOTICE?!?!?!??!?! So…means you guys gotta add THAT to the list…well and bloody truly
15:27 Rick evil twins have been done plenty of times in comic book shows and shows. *Also this episode alone is what the Mirror Iris plot from the Flash should have been* .
Now you know why Amenadiel reacted the way he did last season when him and Linda was trying to pick baby names and said "Not Michael!! Definitely not Michael!!"
It's funny that the American accent of Michael was originally going to be for Lucifer. They thankfully realized that Ellis' real voice was such a perfect fit.
Two things I loved. Tom Ellis' american accent, he sounds like the biggest douchebag ever and it fits for the character. And that Chloe figured Michael out and shot him for his deceit. I was really worried that they were going to playup the secret for another episode or two, but I was so happy that Chloe solved it and got some revenge by shooting him several times. Not because it hurt Michael, it just made Chloe feel better!
A couple of notes: 1) this is one of the BEST Chloe moments in the series! 2) Tom Ellis actually does a very good American accent in "Rush". The reason Michael's sounds off is intentional: he's supposed to sound uncomfortable and nasally and douchey to make you hate him more. And I think Tom Ellis 100% achieved that 😂
I'm honestly a little surprised that they didn't realize Chloe was playing Michael the whole time. Usually they figure stuff like that out ahead of time. But I guess it made for a great reaction when she shot him! And yes, that scene in the precinct with the purple lighting was kind of silly but it makes sense once you know that Chloe was seducing Michael to try and lower his guard.

Tom Ellis was in a short lived show called Rush where he played an American (worth a watch). It was that show’s cancellation that allowed Tom to try out for a Lucifer. He tried giving Lucifer an American accent but found him so unlikeable (you got a taste of it in Michael) he switched to his natural accent to make him charming. His versatility shines this season. He plays Lucifer, Michael and Michael as Lucifer.

I almost wished I hadn’t seen the ads leading up to this season revealing the whole Michael twin thing. Also at first I thought it was a bad idea going with the whole “evil twin” trope from soap operas but somehow they actually made Michael a great villain for the series. In this series Michael is like a mix of Joker and Scarecrow.
I too sadly saw the ads. And ye I thought the evil twin twist came from nowhere BUT it seems to be in the original comic so eh. The series is just following the comic
And honestly, not that smart either. It's a fucking angel! You shot a fucking angel, and the angel didn't immediately snap your head off your shoulders. Lucky he wants to cause more shit and needs you.
"Maybe is just a reflection"....and Michael thought "an erection?"... The important thing to note is that, even knowing things, Michael could not fool Chloe, in fact she beat Michael at his own game. I loved the scream of excitement from the four of you when Chloe shot Michael in the leg. Michael was excited to take Lucifer's life, simply because he realized how special Chloe is. It seems that none of the twins can resist Chloe.
Well, Michael _can_ resist Chloe. He only decided to actually get with her when he thought that it would allow him to take everything Lucifer has, not because he found her attractive at all.
6:31 “why aren’t your wings white?” Note how he turned her towards him and held her close…as such, be exceptionally difficult for her to have gotten a look at the wings while they were out…
