The guy you recogniced is the actor who plays Jessie Porter in Burn Notice. I love the fact that Chloe figured it out quickly. I don't like when they drag out on stuff like that for no reason. She's a detective. She's smart enough to figure it out
The whole twin thing comes from the DC comics where Lucifer and Michael are both "Demiurge" able to wield the power of God and Michael defeated Lucifer during the rebellion. They went with a very different version of Michael, but the concept of them being equals but opposite sort of remains.

Well, they still have the "Based on" captions in the show, but it's not really relevant to the show it is so loosely based... I remember thinking the same thing as Ellie when the whole twin thing came on (not my favorite trope) so it was a bit of a balm that it was at least spurred by the source material. As for Sandman, it is also awesome and we can have multiple Lucifers. Would have been cool to have Tom Ellis playing a darker meaner, pre-vacation version of himself in it, but it's fine that they didn't go with that to fit the tone and timeline they were going for. Lucifer being responsible, not interested in drinking, and especially not making a sex pun when it was right there. What convinced her more than anything, though was when Michael brought out that one mans fear.; Lucifer would have brought out his desire Add that to the make out session between him and Maze, and no matter how much she wanted to believe otherwise, she knew that could not possibly be Lucifer

Maze was not pissed at Chloe. She said "kind of" because she was a little hurt that Chloe rejected her, but the fact that she is in speaking terms and goes to the police station, or that she tries to stop Michael just shows it's not a big deal, just a little hurt.
Yeah, we gotta remember that Maze is impulsive, violent and petty. It's definitely in character for her to let things play out, even to her dearest of friends. Especially a friend who told her to back off for a bit. Of all the characters in this show, Maze is the one who is supposed to not make sense. To flip flop and be inconsistent. It's frustrating as hell but that's kind of the point.
12:33 as much as we all love Maze and we know how strong she is, she definitely is NOT stronger than any angel. Earlier she took him by surprise, that's why Michael loose that fight, but angels are much much muuuuuuuch stronger than any other celestial or non-celestial person. The only two beings that are stronger than angels are the Goddess (we could see that in s2 when Luci's and Amenadiel's mother lift them both up) and obviously God. Also I like to think that one of the things that let Chloe find out that it's not Lucifer, was the fact, that when they were in the elevator after seeing Michael and Maze together, Micheal was trying to make with Chloe physical touch (I know you cut that part out, but if I remember correctly, that happen in this scene), while Luci, whenever Chloe was mad or upset, was always giving her space and he never tried to push her boundaries by touching her when she didn't want to be touched (I hope that makes sense lmao). And yeah, Amenadiel can go to hell. Every angel can go to hell or heaven (except Lucifer since he's banished from heaven)
They originally wanted Tom to do an American accent from the beginning of the show. But the English accent worked out better with all the innuendos used.
I think Maze is pissed at Chloe because she deceived Maze into thinking Trixie was still mad and needed more space when it was Chloe freaking out about the Lucifer being the devil and Maze being a demon. Maze isn't one to let a grudge go completely.
Yes and the fact that the first episode season 5 they both were working and doing things together and Chloe asked Maze for space to process the reality that Lucifer wasn't coming back. Maze even tried to kiss Chloe
Hey Ellie, know youre not big on the bible & stuff from when cain popped up, but In the bible Michael was lucifers angel brother, the two were meant to be incredibly close & he was the one who cast lucifer down. Soooo altho yes in most cases its normally a cheap-out when they do that, IN THIS CASE it was a good way for them to bring in michael whilst having a few hijinks lol. Plus dont worry its not a thing they drag on for too long. Plus they make a change between the two pretty quickly. And yes, the michael thing was hinted at.

Tom is such a great actor, I genuinely felt like there were two different people playing these roles. (Minor spoiler alert) There’s a scene in season 6 when Michael reappears briefly, seen from behind, and for a moment I thought to myself “They probably just had a body double so they wouldn’t have to bring the actor back” and of course I had to slap myself.
They could have made Chloe a lot beautiful and with platinum blonde hair without bangs and they could have made her a lot beautiful too like The Other Woman on Lucifer instead of ugly all the time
