I feel like the IDW comics are also worth mentioning, seeing as they're fleshing out the brand new characters as well as having fun with already existing ones (such as Tails' new mini series for an anniversary!). Overall, a pretty good Sonic year.

Knuckles is your favorite character right well don’t forget we’re supposed to be getting a Knuckles Show on Paramount+ which will be related to the Paramount Films who knows what characters they could introduce there, I’d personally love to see the Chaotix, I think they would be amazing in a TV show, they could even establish other characters and set them up for Movie 3 as well. And oh my goodness I would love to see an 06 Movie Adaptation, it deserves a Redemption Arc, even if Project 06 exists.
It’s been tough and a lot of the early footage didn’t invoke confidence, but I’m glad things have been looking up for Frontiers.
Can’t wait to pick up my copy on Tuesday. 🙂
I loved this video, as with all of your content, and it’s always nice to see a youtuber consistently talk about Sonic in a relatively lighthearted and optimistic light :) but in relation to Sonic Prime: Keep in mind that what was shown in the recent trailer specifically was VERY likely to just be footage from the pilot and not outside of that one singular episode. Heck, the shot of Sonic falling between dimensions has sneakily been included from a completely DIFFERENT episode based on the details you can spot when paused (a large vine caught around his ankles, camo print on his gloves, all VERY similar to a certain concept art leak of the show from a year back). The “Bad Future” versions of these characters may appear in an episode or two, but rest assured their designs aren’t gonna be on screen the ENTIRE time, and we are bound to get a lot more variety in appearances, environments, and tones throughout the rest of the show! Woohoo!

Honestly this channel's content is great and I hope to see more from you in the future, even thought this was a new type of video I still would mind rewatching it a few times just for the quality. Its great to see small youtubers like you blow up and reach new potentials! I hope you have a great day and keep striving for the best.

Watching this video makes me thankful on how much the Sonic fandom got in 2022! I mean, we ended up getting Sonic Triple Trouble 16 bit, Sonic Origins (despite it not using the OG tracks from Ice Cap and Launch Base), Sonic Omens (despite it having a toxic fiasco on Twitter when it was popular, idk that much about that, so correct me if I'm wrong), Sonic Movie 2, and Sonic Frontiers! And as a bonus, we're also gonna get Sonic Prime which will be the icing on the cake!

From what I remember from articles, a Mania 2 won’t happen. The team apparently got into conflict with sega of America and are now working on their own game.
How i became a sonic fan:
I used to be addicted to Little pony and i realized i should stop it because it's mainly for girls, so the first thing that came mind was sonic, i decided to try it out and i turned into a sonic fan, this happened a bit before sonic movie 1 was announced, so i was happy that they gave him a movie!
It's insane that before being a brony,I liked Sonic more than MLP

I'm always a Sonic fan since June 2011. I remember these good old days playing the flash games as well official games on my PlayStation 2,when it came one of my favorite Sonic titles like Sonic Heroes (which became my all-time favorite Sonic game),the Genesis games(I played them on a collection) as well Riders: Zero Gravity with some guilty pleasures like Shadow the Hedgehog,which became my all-time favorite franchise growing up.
Fun times to be a kid.
I hate that I found it, but I found a cutscene not too long ago of the game, and I gotta say the story makes me optimistic.

As long as you keep things PG, I’m thrilled with what this channel has in the future.
I’m hoping that Frontiers can at least be the first step in the improvement/refinement of the recent game series. I don’t expect it to fix every criticized issue, nor be a perfect game. Realistically speaking, it’s going to take more than just Frontiers to actually see drastic improvements upon the recent series. Refinement doesn’t happen instantly, it is a process, a road in which one must show the willingness and the desire to continue to travel on. I pray that the recent series shows and proves that it has the will and the desire to refine itself throughout future releases.
I believe that this series is actually pretty strong since it was able to move forward and still maintain an audience after things like ‘06 or Boom for example, aside from it being one of those franchises that are too big to simply die. “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” really applies here. I find that to be pretty inspiring as someone who feels like they will collapse, die, or worse: self-mutilate or take their own life during almost every low moment.
I don’t know, I just want the series to continue to show improvements moving forward because after seeing and knowing the good in it, I believe that it is capable of doing that and I definitely just want fans to be happy, instead of it feeling divided all the time. The division has been rather toxic. Not every entry is going to please everyone and that’s okay. I want the emotional pain to be more suppressed similar to taking pain suppression medication (physical or mental) once in a while or once a day like taking antidepressants or something.
I Now respect the animators I love epic Mickey so much mainly because I grew up on the game

I also want Mania 2, but it should probably wait until 2023, because otherwise that year won't have much going on.
I’ve always appreciated Sonic as a franchise even during the times where the games were mediocre at best ever since I was really young, so seeing the franchise succeed will always be a good thing for me. It might not be my favourite franchise, but it’s always been up there with my favourites.
I love the new content I think you should still do gaming history, but newer games need covering too

I'm happy to be a sonic fan. In school, peoples always said that I'm a baby, sonic is bad... But I will never leave the serie. Weirdly, I started with the sonic boom serie and sonic forces and when I was a kid, I liked them 😅

The funny thing is while I wouldn’t say I’m a big Sonic fan as my experience is limited, most of the cool artists I know as an artist myself either started off as Sonic or Zelda* fan artists, one exception I know is a Street Fighter fan artist. All based tbh.

Hey the movies, Origins (even if there are bugs with it) and Frontiers are all big W’s. I’m glad that peoples first instinct isn’t just to be like Sonic sucks . Sonic 06 blah blah even though the game came out like 16 years ago.
Sonic 06 isn't great by any means but I think a lot of that narrative was a weird echo chamber kind of thingy. People just seemed to parrot the opinions of others.
Like I'd argue that Sonic Forces is way worse than 06 is. Forces feels hollow and sad but 06 at least tried to do something really cool. It just failed
@@keystep8669 I’ve never played either 06 or Forces. 06 had a lot of ambition, in fact probably the most ambitious Sonic game. That’s probably the reason that it wasn’t finished at the deadline because they wanted to add so much stuff into it. If I had to play one it would be 06 without question. And I actually would love to play it just to see how it is.

06 is still easily worst mainline game in the series (though even i'll admit its not bad enough to call it one of the worst video games of all time) but im tired of the weird nostalgia blind people trying to defend it

I have finished Sonic Frontiers and I loved it, sure it's not the best game of all time but, I'm still happy that the game ended up being good, this is my opinion you don't have to agree. I loved Sonic Prime, it's fun, action-packed and has a interesting story imo. 😄😄😄😄😄😃😃 😃😃😀😀😀😀😀😁😁😁😁😁

I honestly rather not have a sequel to Sonic R, but more of a remake honestly. Like it can look like how Mario Kart 8 did its graphics for the Wii U/Switch for the Deluxe version, and can revamp the old stages while adding new ones so it would be at a standard length of a racing game would of been like Mario Kart along with many controls to use and adjust to see what fits for you. Maybe even have new characters with new fun abilities to play the game in multiple ways with many sections and shortcuts in the stages while using the momentum wisely to get a good place in the game for difficult levels, which I would love to see. They should also have separate maps for the battle mode too, and have some more things for the seasons to change the stages and stuff, and it can have some influences from the 3D Sonic games like the wall running and quick stepping, and heck, even a boss chase for a race track, that would be cool. Add that with more modes like a chao garden for example, and multilayer online races on the internet, along with a party mode, and ESPECIALLY, new songs and MORE to it as well, it would be very fun and repayable game like Mario Kart 8, and might bring back its reputation and it would be a brighter day and feeling the sunshine. :)
Yes, I had to put it somewhere. :) It might also become one of the best Sonic racing games in general, and would be great for people in the modern age to play it without playing it on original hardware or emulating it.
Heck, it would also be cool if it were 60fps in all consoles instead of a mixed framerate, but it can be adjusted to be up to higher framerates in PC. I think Sonic can have games for the Switch that can be up to 60fps for Switch and look as good as like Mario Kart 8 looks and all the other high selling Nintendo games for the Switch. The developers at Sega working on making the ports isn't taking advantage of the hardware as they should to make a great experience.
I think a revamp of Sonic R would be more better, and can do well for Sonic in general as well. There is more I can say that I would want Sega to do like a 3D classic Sonic game and even a 2D Modern Sonic game that is pretty much an Sonic Advance series successor with the art style and all but HD and hand drawn with new stages and stuff, and also, it would be cool if they bring back Sonic Runners back, even if Sonic Runners Revival already done that, but I would like if Sega would fix how Sonic Runners made money to be like how Sonic Dash and stuff did it too.

Imagine a whole group of fans actually developed a faithful remake of Sonic R that is complete and works well with waves coming out around each month or so. That would be cool as well. :)
I know there are other fan projects of Sonic R, but they haven't really finished and complete and stuff, but I would like it to become a reality eventually. At least for the about 7.59 billion years we have on planet earth though. :)
