There's nothing more magical that sailing with dolphins! How cool was that! And your spinnaker is beautiful!! Keep up the great work - we're loving following your journey!
Longtime watcher, first time commenter. Just have to say, this is the video where it has all come together. Informative, entertaining, good shots, and good music. Even down to the part about washing off the fenders and explaining to people why. Nicely done, please keep up the good work and always showing and explaining. The entertainment comes naturally...
Awe thanks so much William! Both Charles and I read this comment seperatly and were so excited to tell the other one about it. You made our day: so thanks for dropping us a note & for following our journey for the last year. We really appriciate all the awesome support!
The new spinnaker is beautiful! I love the colors. I also really like your asymmetric swim top, Jes! And of course - Yay dolphins! That's definitely a worthy distraction for a while.
Fortunately our old spinnaker was a HUGE space suck! Thanks to that, we feel like we have more room now than we did when we moved on board 👍 Wouldn’t turn down a bigger boat tho 🤣
The thing I love about being a Pateron is I get to watch the video twice! Once before everyone else and then again when it's released. But they are different!! Awesome edit Charles and Jes I really look forward to every post! Stay Safe as always!
Thank you for the video. Question. After the spinnaker was up you showed a shot of the mast thru the hard top window. It looked like the mast was moving a quite a bit. Was it moving or was it a product of the camera shooting thru the overhead port? Be safe and have fun!
THAT is a beautiful sail! You've always got to stop what you're doing for dolphins, it's in the rule book! Fantastic drone shots, dogs on deck always bring a smile. Great video as always!
Morning ya'll ☀ At the end of the episode, we mention that we have a sipinaker that we are looking to sell. If you are interested, send us a message or Instagram of Facebook (links in Episode description). It is a blue, white & red Ullman asymetrical spinnaker. We have never raised it, but our surveyor said it was in great (not perfect) condition. If you are in the Charleston area and in need of a new-to-you spinny, let us know! ⛵
Totally love the parasailor spinnaker‼️👍🏻✌🏻️ Great job on moving stuff around. Pro Tip. Whoever is doing the work is the one who is better at it. 🤭😬🤪 ✨🌊🌬⛵️🏝👙🌞✨
Jes & Charles..when you get the bike covers, could you tell us a little more about them, the company, why you choose them in your research and such? Enjoy and thanks for the video !
I found if you go and buy some sweat pants and cut the legs off. Sow thim with a draw string. You can put thim on your fenders. It saves the boat 🚢 and when you need to clean thim. Take thim off and wash thim and put thim back on. Ooo and you can color match thim to your Boat 🚢. Ok untell next week, Aloha from the Big Island 🏝 of Hawaii 🏝
..... laughing ..... it seemed that you were anticipating the flying of your new spinny to be challenging Charles and then once it was up got the feeling that you were a bit in disbelief that it had gone up without a glitch and with ease. Sure is a good looking sail, am betting you will get a lot of use out of that, especially since it seemed easy to deploy .... Thinking that you got your priorities right on the mark, you never know when mum nature is going to grace you with some of her beauty, in this case the dolphins. ..... That front locker sure is cavernous even with the tankage in there ... wonder if the bags for the bikes will make them easier to manhandle or clumsier since not able to grab anywhere. Sure impressed with their small foot print .... don't know if there is such a thing, but need fenders like those camping mattresses that when not pressurized, blown up, shrink and can be rolled up into something no bigger than a rolled up yoga mat, the fender would be even smaller .. you sure had a fantastic day for your first passage .... thx for sharing Charles and Jen
Great to see you both gaining confidence with new skills. Just remember it`s supposed to be enjoyable and the best thing about sailing......... is sailing! And you`re smashing it! Back yourselves ffs! Meanwhile, down here in the colony, we Europeans think there are four seasons but our Aboriginal mates tell us that there are six. We should have moved out of second rains by now, Djilba when the bush starts to bloom, cold days, heavy rain, and into Kambarang, when the bush explodes in colour. Game changes from mammals like kangaroo and quals to snakes and goannas, fruit nuts and berries are everywhere and it`s time to migrate to the coast as fish become plentiful . Costco are doing a two-for-one on goanna tails in garlic at the mo. Nom nom. Days and nights become warmer , all meals are cooked on the barby even breakfast, and beer once again becomes one of the main food groups.Evenings are full of the scents of steak on the barby, laughter and music. Even as someone trained to be cold (as an Arctic Warfare Royal Marine) I can`t stand the colder months down here ,which is why we`ve had two trips up the top end to Darwin. Thirty odd degrees and champagne sailing every day! A bit like Bahamas but constant conditions. Take it easy , guys, Fair winds xx
What a team, learning together.
Always 😉

Running out of storage space...time for a bigger boat!

Okay, that spinnaker went up in what looks like an effortless manner. Okay how many people are you guys hiding. 🙂
Hahah. Thanks to speed adjustments on the film 😅 it actually took us about an hour to figure Everything out 🙌🏻

Dolphins and a pretty spinnaker - what’s not to like . If you had an asymmetric it would match Jes’s asymmetric bikini 😝 love the lazarette Tetris

Nice, concise story telling. The spinnaker tied each act together. I hope you guys continue to share your story.
Thanks! We will do our best to keep putting it out there 🤣
