Hi Dan, I am happily an srp owner and I believe that from your review there are two very important points that you have not pointed out.. the first is that any update will be made in the future you can do it without having to change the pedalboard but buying the new product is replacing it with the old one. And according to the service, I believe that there is no better service than David, in two days you will get the spare part without problems! Congratulations Dan and above all congratulations David.

Very interesting Pedal set, I never could see the point in hydraulic pedals since you were just pushing a load cell with elastomers, you cant feel the compression of oil so its just pointlessly complicated with the possibility for them to leak. with this i like how you get the direct air pressure and the way it compresses looks very nice, would defiantly be keeping my eyes on these as an upgrade, But I do wonder how many cycles the SRP pedals will last. if its just a cheap seal replacement that's something I could live with.

Any idea what the difference is between this new R brake piston and the old one?
I can only seem to find very limited information.

    • @SRPSimRacingPro
      @SRPSimRacingPro ปีที่แล้ว +1

What is the difference between the GT piston and the R piston?
      The GT piston:
With the new brake cam, the range of settings has been widened, from a guy who wants to brake like a street car with very little pressure, to a very close to competition setting like a TCR, as you know it's up to every driver.
      SRP P1/FR piston:
Actually I have been lucky enough to work with real drivers from different disciplines, a year ago, the decision was taken to create a 100% competition piston and from there was born the SRP P1/FR piston so that they could train and they can exercise the forces, precision, sensations as in their competition cars which have very demanding brakes and accompanied by the new SRP-MySetup V3.2.1 software, with a new feature to help you adjust the brake when you compete with ABS.
Highly recommended to play with sparco shoes
But it's up to you to decide what kind of riding style you have and whether you're ready to take it to the next level.

      Hi Elco.
From what you say, you must work in a maintenance factory, have you ever calculated the km that the cylinders you have changed have travelled? Have you checked the characteristics of the technical data sheet of the standard pistons you use, where it says the km of useful life of the seals?
And of course, the pistons are manufactured exclusively for SRP with the specific characteristics of my design and I am not changing stickers.

We have a big problem were i work.
It is a Cleanroom with clean Compressed Air without oil in the Air .
Normal you have oil in the Compressed Air so the lifetime is much longer.
      Yes we tested this.
For your Brake Zylinder. They do over 20 Mio. Cycles befor they die.
The Throttle and Clutch ones, they die after 10 Mio cycles.
But all without any extra oil or anything.
The travel off one cycle is 200 to 300mm
Another thing is the speed, at my work the cylinders only have round about 800 ms time for one cycle.
Thats not really a Optimum For Lifetime.
So you don't should get any Problems with the sealing.
I don't wanna say that your System is not good. It's really nice because there is so much knowledge in the background in the Industrie off Pneumatik.
I wish you good Luck for your Projekt. This is much better then These Rubber Brakes.

Looks like a nice set with something new to offer as well. I'll say though that even with the Invicta pedals, and any pedalset, 100kg is too much. Even James Baldwin has said that he uses his sim pedals around 70-80kg max. In the real cars they do go to 100kg+, but due to g forces assisting you in pushing the pedal it feels more like 70kg on a sim setup.

  • @Leynad778
    @Leynad778 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Nice to see this true innovative principle for a competitive price, but wouldn't buy it because of the linear clutch. The more bite, the better. Other than for starts I use the clutch for shifting occasionally and set up my Ultimate to what I think an old race car might feel, so quite stiff, which also fits well to many cars in BeamNG, AC and AMS2. The actual bite point might vary depending of the car, but it's similar in real life that the apex of the pressure curve doesn't necessarily correspond with the bite point.

@@DanSuzuki so I actually have the Invictas. But I’m worried about my long term knee health. I had an old injury playing soccer post army life and only run it about 20 bar. Are these easier on the knee’s?

I’m not a doctor but I would think it only comes down to pedal pressure. Even though more travel should help at low pressure

Did you tried the Simtrecs? They are awesome too and more or less for the same price but I cannot tell how different they feel because I have never tried pneumatic-based pedals.@@DanSuzuki

Love the paddles, hate the software. Using the serial communication is not my favorite (I‘m a hardware/software developer). I prefer how e.g. Heusinkfeld does it with storing the settings on the controller. No need to start any additional software. It just works.

You don't have to start the software to use them, it's just for setting them up - after you're done you can in theroy delete the software.

The SRP software is 90% a remote control of the pedals, like the remote control of your TV.
The software is actually on the electronics board.

Wish they sold the pedals separately, personally don’t like a complete pedal set and would rather space out the brake and throttle.

you can get the 2 pedal set and space them way out. Thats what I do

Hmmm. Not a fan of pneumatic. At least with hydraulic there's physical evidence to know when they're leaking.
