    In case nobody has mentioned it already "May+z" etc, means "Shift Key + Z", "May" being short for "Mayúscula" in Spanish, the shift key :)

      @@Atlasgtesports and how you like the DD1 ? I got recently a DD2 but still couldn’t use it because waiting for Simlab P1X that arrives Monday. Currently on my Cranking, weak, flexing from Europe to America Playseat..
      How would everything feel when everything is flex free, cockpit, seat, DD2, F1 wheel, pedal deck,...all solid, curious about it.
      I only need to upgrade to these Spanish pedals and triple monitor setup and I’m done... currently on Fanatec CSL Elite loadcell pedals but throttle to weak and little bit difficult and unprecise to modulate very well. And a 43” 4K Qled 60Hz TV which isn’t ideal for simracing.
      3x27” 1920x1080p monitors I’ll go for that because I have a i7 10700K with RTX 2070 Super and peoples advised me for max 27” with 1080p rather then 32” 1440p because 3 monitors are to stressful on my current GPU.

    Amazing review Will! I love the camera angles and your thoroughness. I think these are amazing pedals and very good value considering the materials used and the overall quality impression. Some other pedals look more like prototype units compared to this beautiful design and execution.
    The only thing I would like to see is them raising the pedal plates a bit more.

    Great pedals. Had them for months and they are the best pedals I've ever used. Managed to win the last iracing Radical championship with them. The best thing about them is just how smooth they feel throughout the throw. Nothing compares imho.
    Also used hydraulic pedals and while a hydraulic brake feels good when dialled in ultra hard, I feel too much from the rubber bumpers when dialled in at a lower pressure.

    Okay guys, at the end where you begin rattling off numbers, that's just gibberish in our heads (and yours too I can see) because keeping them in mind, and having a baseline comparison, is neigh impossible. Since you're two now... maybe do a simple matrix grid comparison while you're reading from a piece of paper? Or a nice b-roll capture of the pedals rotating while you superimpose the same numbers? Stellar channel, but always room for more :)

    Makes sense to go pneumatic for brake since it's a fluid based system. But considering that throttle is usually spring operated in real life it's odd they would go pneumatic for that. And even the clutch pressure plate is just a big spring (hydraulically actuated of course).

I moved the two pedals to the outer pedal position for comfort, which was also a big selling point for me. The pneumatic design feels great to me. I drive barefoot and the pedal faces are so comfortable! Also I sit in an formula position and the adjustable angle of the pedal faces is huge for that and something lacking in most pedal sets. I don't understand why you'd go for a pneumatic system over a hydraulic. I supposed the pneumatic system is more simple, doesn't look to need a slave cylinder. But they're cool. Love their solution for adjustable pedal travel.
    I've been designing my own hydraulic pedals as a DIY project. And these teardown videos have really provided helpful ideas. Feel a little slimy not coming up with everything originally, but meh, modern engineering is mostly iterative anyway. My pedals will be the best in the market that I won't sell

    Really can't make up my mind between these SRP's and the Meca Cup 1 set. I prefer the SRP's, but I'm worried that the gas struts are less durable over time.

    • @madsscheelbech3920
      @madsscheelbech3920 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats also my concern. What have you decided on and whats your experience?

    • @brulaapgaapmeester8234
      @brulaapgaapmeester8234 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@madsscheelbech3920 I chose the SRP's, I have them now for a little longer than 6 months, and it is the 2-pedal setup, so I know nothing abot the clutch. No technical issues sofar, almost daily use. After a period of setting up everything you want it, they are very good pedals, especially the brake pedal; sensitive and good feel, it really helped me to do trail braking better. The throttle is also fine, but in the beginning I wished it it had a bit more resistance, but I'm used to it now. Overal quality is good, as it should be at this price.
      In hindside I think you can flip a coin to choose the Meca's or the SRP's, I'm sure both deliver about the same performance, once you get used to them, as long as they have feel and precision, the brake becomes an extension of your left foot more and more. The SRP's are good enough to take you to a higher level if you own less good pedals now (but so will the Meca's I expect).
      Anyway, I really like the feel of the brake pedal (which is the most important). About the gas struts, the owner of SRP answered a question about them on some German forum I read, and he said that should one fail after the warranty period he can sell you a replacement for around 60 euro. This is not on their website, so I'm saying this 'unofficially'. All I know now is that the struts are still fine after 6 months almost daily use, sessions of around two hours.
      In the end I think you'll be happy with either set, I chose the the SRP's because I expected good feel from the struts, which is the case, but of course without being able to compare to the Meca-system. Hope this helps a bit in making your choice.
