I freakin LOVED this song! I used to go back and watch it cuz I remember there was a cutscene viewer, and I remember a lot from the trailers I saw, funny cuz it was so long ago lol
This game was a considerable improvement over the first Driver! the in game graphics and the cut scenes looked miles better than the first! this game would have had a far bigger budget than the first and it shows.
It is ridiculous, I agree, but Reflections had to make another disk to put the other two cities on. With just Chicago and Havana alone, Disk 1 comes to 563.6 MB. Disk 2 comes to 524.9 MB and together that makes a total of 1088.5 MB (a CD only holds about 700 MB of data). So, in a way, they were forced to make two disks - but that only shows the amount of effort and time Reflections put into making this amazing game.
You can save on the last mission of Havana. When the mission complete box comes up, hit "Continue" and a screen will come up saying "Please insert Disk 2". Depending on what you are playing on (PS1 or PS2), open up the disk tray (while this screen is on) and swap out disk 1 for disk 2. Close the disk tray and the game will read disk 2 and continue on.
You're getting me WRONG man. I REALLY thank him indeed. I was just telling him he had all of us used to watching him driving better, that's all, and he kindly explained why this time he drove like that. Really, I wouldn't be telling him all that if I knew he was "that" unprofessional.
Every computer is a different whole world, you gotta tell me about it. Sometimes they act and do thins completelly out of logic, I'm used to that. The thing is, after watching you in action, if I'm a person who sees you for the first time, "this guy's a pain of a player" is the phrase. But knowing you is like: "No way, this guy is not that bad, not even close. IMPOSSIBLE!!!"
dennyfrontier ,according to Wikipedia, only the PS1, and Game Boy Advance of this game were released. The first game was released on PC though. As well as the PS1, Game Boy Color, Mac, and iOS.
See, the thing is, I did have ISOs of both disks on my computer at the time but for some reason I could not launch into the second disk (and play this mission) via ISO method. For some reason, ePSXe would only let me continue on to play this first mission in Las Vegas by using the game CD. For a week, I remember trying different methods with the second CD's disk image but nothing worked. Lo and behold, when I by chance decided to try running it using the actual game CD, it worked :/.
I love the city design and lighting on this game, it's a shame it didn't make it to the PC, the short distance view is dissapointing, is obvious that the console couln't move the game engine right.
I agree, it would be cool seeing what they could do with updating the graphics. Las Vegas at night would be absolutely gorgeous. Even with the way it looks here I remember being stunned with this level the first time I played this mission. Being able to explore a 70's Las Vegas in greater detail would be awesome.
@@NostalgiaGamesProd because I've installed one from a website called Bazaar which is of Persian and it says in the description that it has disc 1 & 2 included together. I'm currently playing the game right now and I'm in Havana just to find out after finishing all missions in Havana.
Unfortunately, I have no idea about working this on Android. In your comment, I saw that you were playing through Havana as of a few days ago - did you make it up to Las Vegas and see if you were able to continue? I just did a quick Google search for Playstation emulators for Android and saw ePSXe (what I was using on my PC here) as well as a few others. Curious to see if you were able to make it work. For the download from Bazaar, were the two discs somehow combined into one giant image file or were they both separate as normal? Let me know - wish I could help you further but never got around to experimenting with emulation on Android.
The emulator is ePSXe (version 1.7.0). In order to get the emulator to read disk 2, you have to actually play this first mission off of the actual game disks. If you downloaded the ISOs from somewhere, you'll have to burn Disk 2 to CD and then run Disk 2 in ePSXe via the "Run CD-ROM" option under the File menu. Either way works whether your using the real CDs or burned ISO images.
Hahaha, me being the next Tanner, I could never be as cool as Tanner. BUT, in all seriousness, I hope to play with some of my subscribers in the new Driver (I'll have it on PS3).
Yeah pretty much. Like I said in the PM, that's what I did in order to continue with the game. Pretty much just play off of the CD for the first Las Vegas mission and then save it. Then you will be able to continue using your ISOs to play the game. Give it a try and tell me what happens.
What happens when you click Run CD-Rom? Does the screen just stay blank or something? Hmm, well I clearly remember that is what I did to get the Las Vegas missions started... Maybe try switching ISOs/disks using ePSXe v. 1.5.2. Someone messaged me a while back saying that using that version of ePSXe worked with switching disks. Try using version 1.5.2 and tell me if that works out.
This I do have an answer for lol. Basically, I had to play this mission with the game CD in my laptop's DVD drive in order to get around the "Please insert Disc 2" screen. Normally, I played the game off of ISOs on my hard drive. I was nervous of slow-downs and glitches due to never emulating the game using the CD so I was pretty focused on concentrating for those instead of actually thinking about where to go and what to do.
Do you mean the song name? The song is Fever by Dust Junkies. If this isn't what you want to know, feel free to post another comment explaining what you would like answered.
In order to get to Las Vegas, you have to hit "Continue" after completing the "Escape the Brazilians" mission from Havana. A screen will come up asking to insert Disk 2. What you do now is you go to File>Change Disk. Depending on what method you are playing the game on, either choose ISO or CDROM. If I remember correctly, I had to continue with the CD for the first mission in Las Vegas due to the ISO method not working for some odd reason... But yea, try this way out. Hope this helps.
For some reason (in rare instances), when I play a game off of the CD in ePSXe, it skips. So while I was playing this mission, my mind was mainly on hoping that the game wouldn't skip and not on the mission. I know that if I had gotten this mission working using the standard ISOs of the disks and not having to rely on CD2, I would have done much better. So, no offense was taken my friend, just had to clarify why my skill wasn't up to par on this one mission.
Don't worry about it, Hyalyago, I can tell you why I drove so bad on this mission. I completed this just after figuring out that I had to play this mission with the CD in my computer on ePSXe (in order to correct the "Please insert Disk 2" problem). I remember that when I was playing this mission, I had to do it in one go because I was so nervous of the game skipping due to ePSXe having to read it off of the CD.
Are you talking about in ePSXe or on the original system? Because on the system, it should just be an easy transition of just putting Disk 2 into the disk tray... Unless you are trying to do this method via an emulator like ePSXe which I will gladly help you with.
It doesn't go into disk 2 your saying? Or you don't know how to switch your ISOs to disk 2? If it's the second question, you have to go to File --> Change Disk --> ISO and select the Disk 2 ISO on your computer and it should load into the game (and you should see the first cutscene in Las Vegas playing). If this didn't help you out, let me know because I would like to see it working for you.
In order to get to Las Vegas in ePSXe, I had to play the first mission of Las Vegas using the game CD instead of the ISO file. When you complete "Escape the Brazilians" (the last mission in Havana), hit Continue and you will come to a screen asking you to insert CD 2. Dang it. I used PSX Emulation Cheater to select a mission. Disc 1 even played the finale mission, Lenny Gets Caught for me. The real issue seems to be seeing the scenes. I even Daemon Tools Lite, and mount all disc images. I'm stunned Disc 2 does not load thru. Probably a super hidden 1.0 version works out. 1.1 Greatest Hits does not like ePSXe 1.7. I did buy this and have beaten it out on my PS1, just wanted to play it thru again with some OpenGL2. Cheers man, good shit.
I think I see what you are saying. While you are playing the game, if you want to switch disks (while on the screen saying "Please insert Disk 2" for example), hit Esc (Escape) on the keyboard and then the File menu should be there. Click File and the only option that you should be able to choose is the "Change Disk" option or the "Exit" option. From the Change Disk option, you should be able to choose either CDROM or ISO to continue with the game. Comment back telling me if this works.
So the "Please Insert Disk 2" screen doesn't even come up at all? Even when you hit continue after completing the Escape the Brazilians mission (the last mission in Havana)? Hmm, provide me with a little bit of more information and I will definitely see what I can do from there.
Oh hell yes!! Proof right here for anyone who reads this in the future. If you're all having trouble switching disks in ePSXe version 1.7.0, do yourselves a favor and DOWNGRADE YOUR EMUS to 1.5.2! Even though I just swapped disks in 1.7.0 since I have the original game, for future reference just downgrade... It's easier :). P.S. - Thanks MrSorroW for letting me know that it worked. Glad I could help.
Hey there NostalgiaGamesPord, I need ur help! Did u used emulator like ePSXe or u play it on ur PSX? If u play it with ePSXe, how did u inserted disc 2? And with more fairer time limits as well
I love the car that is given for this mission, especially its sound.
