I remember beating this game as a little kid. I was so happy I didn't know what to do, lol. I had trouble with just about every mission. It took me about 2 months to beat the whole thing. Watching you play this brings back memories.
You were pretty damn lucky the truck just got straight ahead from the start instead of turning left or right at the first street. Collision with the escort is unavoidable and he makes you waste time, plus the truck gets enough distance and escapes. A real pain-in-the-ass mission about the first FORTY times if you're not affortunate.
In this scenario, the escort vehicle is the car that is tails/follows Tanner at the start of the mission (you can see me look back at him when I start driving at 2:23). Basically, the escort functions to deter Tanner from stealing the truck.
I remember this. The mission wasn't so hard... when you obtained the truck, just use the freeway to get to the lockup. Worked for me. First timer by the way.

1) Truck turns left into the grass: you're totally fucked. 2) Truck turns left but stays on the road: you're pretty much fucked. 3) Truck turns right: you're pretty much fucked. 4) Truck goes straight: you're not fucked yet but need a ton of luck.

For a PS2 emulator? Hmm, I haven't had any experience with the PS2 emulators, but from my guesses the emulator should take standard ISOs like the PSX emulators did. Search around on popular torrent sites for the ISOs of both disks (I am pretty sure that there is a working torrent on isohunt that contains both of the disks).

the cutsecene graphics are even better than the grand theft auto 4 graphics so I feel like this game should have been release on the ps2 or ps3
