    While it's true that self-driving, fully autonomous cars might still be many years away from actually making it to market, the active driving assistance systems available today are an important advancement in making driving easier and less stressful. But not all of these systems perform equally. Find out which systems are the best (and worst) according to our rigorous testing of over a dozen systems like Tesla's Autopilot, GM's Super Cruise, and Ford's BlueCruise.

    I think having to not have to get your hand all the time or to not have to look at the road every second is exactly why customer buy such options ! I guess we need to buy cars 10th and below

    I don’t know what model Kia you tested but my EV6 stays dead center and not once have I seen it ping pong. As for the system disengaging if you don’t respond, that’s how they’re supposed to work.

    • @videos4mydad
      @videos4mydad หลายเดือนก่อน

      'supposed to work' !? when i took programming in college there was a section on history of engineering decisions that cost people their lives. The car needs to as #1 priority keep the driver safe - disengaging - SPECIALLY when the driver is not paying attention is inviting accidents to happen. Stopping in traffic is equally horrifying.

    we have a genesis gv70 and we have to turn off the lane centering and only keep active cruise on. the lane centering is horrible even on a clear sunny day - lame

    • @targetpace2680
      @targetpace2680 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The lane centering on my genesis gv70 is smooth and reliable on straightaways and roads with gentle curves. It cannot rapidly change directions or manage sharp turns on the road.

    • @targetpace2680
      @targetpace2680 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As a GV70 driver, I don’t think your statements on lane centering reflect my experience with the vehicle. Overall, the lane centering is good on all but the twisty roads. The radar cruise control is smooth and quick to recognize surrounding vehicles. The problem with the Genesis lane-centering system is that it does not chime before disengaging either because it no longer recognizes lane markings or the turning speed/ radius exceeds its parameters.

      apparently, I absolutely love my 2020 Hyundai Sonata Lane keep assist. you can drive for a long while without hands on steering, and it would work very well on sharp curves too. comparing it to my Honda CRV lane assist, sonata has been a superior performance, as it detects lanes much quickly, doesn't disengage lane keep assist when applied light brakes (as CRV does), and quite literally keep the vehicle in lane even in sharp curves (which again CRV fails completely - as soon as CRV finds a moderate curve, it will just give up on you and drive the vehicle off the lane if your hands arent on steering wheel)

    This analysis completely contradicts their previous analyzes of these systems where Hyundai and Kia were in the top. Granted, some of these other systems have advanced since then, but there's no way they dropped to the bottom of the list

    • @nj6441

      Based on the video they showed I don't think they selected the Active LKA. Kia Hyundai has 3 modes to select and one of them is the non-centering but lane departure warning which does ping pong, but it does have active LKA which keeps it perfectly centered.

      Thats the thing you have to be careful about when listening to these reviews. The assumption is that the ppl reviewing know what they are doing. Thats a huge assumption. They have to test 12 systems on limited time and budget and how do we even know if the manufacturer is there to help them or they just winging it. My recommendation is if you really want to know youll have to test it yourself when youre shopping for your car assuming you know how navigate for help on operating these systems correctly yourself…

    This result is surprising to me. I just drove 2024 Hyundai Sonata N-line and its lane centering was incredible. In contrast, 2022 Mazda CX-30 turbo premium plus I owned had a completely useless lane centering. Ford came the best is genuinely surprising
