  • How ADAS System Works | Every ADAS System in Car | ADAS Levels
    ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) are passive and active safety systems designed to remove the human error component when operating vehicles of many types. ADAS systems use advanced technologies to assist the driver during driving and thereby improve the driver’s performance.
    ADAS uses sensors in the vehicle, such as radar and cameras, to perceive the world around it, and then either provides information to the driver or takes automatic action based on what it perceives. The modernization of ADAS applications is the first step toward realizing autonomous vehicles.
    How does ADAS work?
    The ADAS system consists of a suite of sensors, various chips, called systems on a chip (SoCs), interfaces, and a powerful computer processor that integrates all of the data and makes decisions in real time.
    The implementation of cameras in the vehicle involves a new AI function that uses sensor fusion to identify and process objects. Sensor fusion, similar to how the human brain process information, combines large amounts of data with the help of image recognition software, ultrasound sensors, lidar, and radar. This technology can physically respond faster than a human driver ever could.

    For me advanced driving systems are more efficient than autonomous cars, because instead of replacing the driver, the AI is actually improving his driving, so for me Level 1-3 are better than 4-5.

    • @muhammadabdullah03
      @muhammadabdullah03 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      I agree with you 💯.
      Or maybe in the future, if deciding to bring ADAS Level 4-5 , a button should be installed with a catchy name, when the button is pressed, a green LED indicator comes on to show the driver that the car has full control ( Autonomous), if the driver presses the button ( Green light switches off ) - Driver in Control.
      A bit like the Autopilot on Commercial Jets ( Boeing and Airbus)...
      That'll be cool.
      We have cruise control as well

    • @insidehockey6192
      @insidehockey6192 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I agree with you as well. The ADAS systems should not go higher than level 3 because the AI will improve the motorist's driving. When both AI and the driver itself work together, this will dramatically increase safety on our roads by decreasing the possibility of collisions.

    • @leomux2004

      @@insidehockey6192 Exaclty! Why replace when they can help us? Is so more efficient thinking in that way.

      @@leomux2004 I totally agree with you on this. It would be such a shame not to be able to drive such amazing cars and if we can implement AI without completely eliminating human control, and if it improves safety and our competence as drivers, then why completely replace human control? At the same time, implementing AI in constructive ways without eliminating human control gives more people the chance to eventually become safe drivers and gain the independence that they want. It would be a win-win scenario if we kept the AI at level 3 which lies more or less in the middle when it comes to vehicle control.

    • @CBWP
      @CBWP 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Each feature isn't dedicated to a level. They had a section on the levels and what they mean. Sensors input data to the system the system may have audio, video or electro-mechanical output depending on the level...
      They also say in each feature how the output differs. Are you sure you were paying attention?

    What if the sensors fail either partially or completely? There are no foolproof sensors. Sensors go bad with age too. So is there a system that checks all the sensors and gives warning when engine starts up at the commencement of the journey itself. I have had problems with simple parking sensors. There should be some backup systems in case of failure of the sensors.

    Which level of ADAS can detect and stop vehicles?

    • @nothughmahn
      @nothughmahn 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Currently, there is no vehicle that can detect and respond to potholes/ditches. Most vehicles with lane-keeping assistance also detect road edges and will stop you from veering off of the road at speeds of 40mph or greater, but this only applies to the side, not the front/back.

    Get it RIGHT!
    GPS does NOT work as stated (satellites send the latitude, longitude information to the car).
    The car does NOT “communicate” with the satellites (no 2 way communication).
    The correct explanation should be:
    The car only receives the time DIFFERENCE between a few satellites (triangulation) and CALCULATES the coordinates based on that information. The satellites DO NOT send the coordinates, got it!?

      One of the parts of ADAS is adaptive cruise control. Or in other words: adaptive cruise control is a part of ADAS.
      Also did you mean autopilot, fsd beta or any of those other fancy words that Tesla has for marketing purposes? It is in beta. It's still being tested. It still requires driver interaction. I think they call that level 2 right? Maybe 3. It's in the video...
