I appreciate you showing the Bible in your hands doing everyday things. It gives a realistic perspective of the actual size and how small it is. It looks much larger on the table than in your hands compared to your size. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for your post. I purchased my first Cambridge Pitt Minion KJV Bible in June 1963. Over the next two years I travelled across the United States and cruised most of the Pacific Ocean from Hawaii to Guam, the Marianas Islands, Japan, Hong Kong, the Caroline Islands and on to Sydney, Australia and Pago Pago Samoa. That bible remains in good condition to this day. A year ago I purchased a NKJV Pitt Minion with the split calf leather cover.
I ❤️ this video and my NKJV Pitt Minion! Yep. I already had the NASB and this video is a big reason why I also have the NKJV now, too! God bless you, Pastor Daniel. ✝️
Thank you so much, dear Steve! The Pitt Minion has something special... I'm really inclined to buy the goatskin NLT... But I can't buy all the Bibles I want 😆
Hey there, thanks for your question! I actually use the NKJV as my main translation, even though I also like and use the ESV. I think the NLT is a very different translation, it's hard to compare it to the ESV or even the NKJV. I love the NLT and use it to compare different passages, and read a more dynamic text that "sounds" better in today's world and flows easier. But it would be difficult to use it as my main translation since I truly prefer a more literal "word for word" translation for deep study that I do my best to engage in everyday. What is your main translation?
@@crucified4me it has been NKJV for over 20 years but the last month I’ve been reading NLT and enjoy it but it’s off sometimes. A friend of mine is heavily into Greek and Hebrew and recommended the ESV so I’m awaiting my Pitt Minion ESV.
I can almost fit these in my pocket. Almost. Wish I could. Just big enough that I can't, and just small enough that, I agree, it is not a great daily reader. I think the portability is why folks buy the Pitts. Although, for classic look, Cambridge quality, and much better readability, the clarion is the better choice.
Hey brother 🤗 Yes, same here, I also can't fit the Pitt in my pocket... I'm guessing 33 waist is not enough 🤣 Yes, I have the Clarion on my side table now, the only Bible I took to my bedroom 😎 I really love it!! The Pitt Minion is probably be coming with me on many outdoor adventures and ministry. Thank you for watching and commenting 🤗
Thanks for all of the great reviews! I want my new Bible to last. So edge lining is very important to me, and a durable leather. (Some are too floppy). Really want a verse by verse NKJV. I currently have the “Preaching Bible” nkjv. Love it. Thom. Nel. coming out with a verse by verse wide margin. I saw how exited you were about that! Me too! And Praying for references at end of page and lots of gutter space! Gutter space gutter space , gutter space!!! Especially if it’s double column. Do u know of any other nkjv vs by vs that are large 10-12 pt and edge lined? I really wish we could see the their new one pre ordering with out seeing it is hard. Love the psq blue, but no vs/ vs. thanks for your useful reviews! Mendy
The Thomas Nelson Premier Collection NKJV is verse by verse, and a good sized font. It’s much more premium than the preachers edition (and more expensive). The goatskin is very floppy on it though-much floppier than the Schuyler Quentel, which is similar (but not v.b.v.).
@@garythomas3150 Not sure which one you're referring to, but to confirm, TN's large print thinline NKJV from the premier collection is paragraph. Aware you might be referring to a different one, but just wanted to clarify for mendy an aid in avoiding confusion
@@Tom-qo4mz I own the black goatskin TN Premier Collection NKJV. It's vbv, for sure--100%. It's why I bought it, and it's in my usual rotation. It's the second gen, I think... I had the Schulyer Quentel, but bought Nelson Premier Collection, because I wanted verse by verse. I think they are on the third gen now, which is blue...not positive. I don't know if that is or not, but mine (black with raised ribs version) is vbv. Thanks!
@@garythomas3150 ah yes ok, thanks Gary so we're both referring to TN's NKJVs from the premier collection but the one you're referring to specifically is the ' vbv centre column reference' while the one that i'm referring to is the 'large print thinline' - it's just that initially i thought menda could have googled 'thomas nelson premier nkjv' and accidentally ended up getting the (paragraph) lp thinline, mistakingly thinking it was vbv - particularly as it has the large print they're after!
My Church Board voted to follow the guidelines from the State of California, so we use the masks when we livestream and we have only a limited number of people inside the Sanctuary. We've had several families with COVID-19 in our congregation, unfortunately. Hoping and praying this situation may end soon. Thank you for asking.
