NOBODY could turn a triple into a double like this man.
LOL!!!
Greatest comment ever about Colon
😂
I was at that game, I remember it. we were laughing our heads off
Sexiest man is sports
Bartolo Colon:
The single best argument against the universal DH
his homerun is the greatest moment in sports history.
It's where grown men cried
It is awesome, but I’ve never really understood why
@@tigers2026same lmao
@@tigers2026it was awesome just cause it was him and he had never hit a home run before. People love him
It's not the greatest moment in sports history 😅
As an Australian, I have no understanding of baseball, but I would pay money to watch this guy.
Yeah. I'm from Germany. Same here
It’s like cricket but instead of 2 wicket spaces there are the 4 bases around the “diamond”, & you have to either complete a lap around the diamonds or hit it out of the playing area to get a home run

22 seasons in the majors, was the last active player (with Adrian Beltre) to have played in the 1990s and at 47 years old, he's still getting paid to play baseball. He credits his physical staying power to spending 12 hours a day picking coffee beans as a kid. What a movie his life story would make.
Absolutely!
Un orgullo dominicano lo es Bartolo
His wives must be beaming with pride
I love how the "Best of Bartolo" includes a sequence of the play-by-play discussing "....has he made it to first base this year?"
You can definitely tell that he was having fun out there.
The wonderful thing about him is that he is ALWAYS having fun. It is still a game for him.
He was a 47-year-old man who felt like he was 22
The Mets should bring him back, if nothing else as a reliever during blowouts (he is 47 years old, after all.) The morale boost alone among players and fans would be worth it.
Please we need this
Ñ
Let him walk all the way in from the bullpen with the song “Wild Thing” blaring over the loudspeakers…..

Or as a DH.
NO ONE can lose his helmet while swinging the bat more often than this guy!
Bartolo Colon got a walk-in standing double on ICHIRO.... cant be a whole lot of people that can say that.
and he got to first base on an infield hit with Yadi behind the plate. Dude is unreal lol
The pure joy in the commentators' voices for the home run says it all. Bartolo is a national treasure
Bartolo transcends rivalry. I am a dirty cardinals fan and he is absolutely a sweet prince /treasure to the game.
I think even Padres fans were gleeful for Bartolo's homer. That's how significant it was.
Repeatedly seeing the home run never gets old.
I usually go back and watch it every few months
Only the padres lol
Legend has it that he's STILL rounding the bases!
The shot heard 'round the buffet!
We were blessed to have him on the Mets!
A last run for him from mets
He was a blessing to the Majors
Bartolo colon is the best example of the peak performance of man no one can compare to the best man in the world
Bart is one of those guys who truly plays the game for fun and loves every minute of it.
For a dude who looks like he hasn't exercised since the day he was born...Bartolo was shockingly athletic in certain ways
And the funny thing is when he first joined the league, dude was as fit as any other baseball player. But he realized he threw harder during the preseason when he gained weight from the offseason. So he turned that into his power
People forget him on Yankees & Red Sox also lol
Bartolo Colon is the embodiment of that Uncle who actually went Pro.
I miss him and Wilmer
Same
I saw wilmer have a two hr game live
Don’t forget Murphy and Ruben
Yes this was a great year to watch the Mets
@@tk421222 yeah loved Reuben
Big Sexy was immortal i know its not gonna happen but i would love to see him stay on the HOF ballot for a couple years
"Looks like Colon got to first on a fielder's choice"
"Yeah the catcher chose not to field it"
Yadi was like "It's Colon, I've got time. I've got time. I've got... DAMN IT!!!"
The home run never gets old.
Bartolo is my spirit animal!
The sheer joy in his teammates says a lot about how much joy he brings to the game
He is immortal
He is not. God bless.
Yes Jonah... the man will live forever 😊
@@skeped8797he is god. No wait he’s above god. He’s all
This video is cute, but it ignores what kept Colon in the majors for 22 years. HE COULD PITCH. Colon's career record was 247-188.
Rare footage of Colon dropping the bat when running the bases
How could anybody not love Bartolo Colon?? It was like watching Moe from the 3 Stooges playing big league ball.
I think you meant Curley
As a padre fan im honored to have bartolos home run at petco park
I still miss Bartolo so much. Always made me so happy every time he was at the mound (and at the plate for that matter)! High energy guy and so glad he was a Met! LGM!
This is one of the few guys that absolutely EVERYBODY loves... even if he's on the opposing team your face still lights up for Bartolo!!
I never seen a man so relaxed while playing the game
As a yankees fan this guy is a national treasure
It was fun watching B.Colon play with us he really did have fun out there always
Red Sox fan here; How can you not love Bartolo Colon? Seriously
I love how most of these are him hitting.
1:30 - 😆 - This is one of the great moments in ⚾️ history 😀
He is a national landmark
GOATolo
Can bartolo have a documentary on his life?
That would be awesome !!!
We need a movie with 3 sequels... FUCK the GODFATHER
He IS a documentary
His wives would love it
3:10 This man is such a legend he even had another legend, Ichiro, on rollerskates 🤣
Never followed baseball..(besides knowing about Bambino the great)
I started with the(Ichiro 3rd base throw) video from recommendation.
Now I get this (Bartolo moments).
So far I liked what I see and am intrigued now because of these 2 players..👍👍
When he hit that home run I was very surprised he didn't carry his bat with him as he trotted around the bases. Lol.
The excitement in the announcer at 1:02 makes the even better
One of my favorite players as a Mets fan
"This man will live forever."
His behind the back toss to first is one of my favorite plays I’ve ever seen.
I watched Bartolo’s entire career and I would describe it as great baseball talent mixed with oldschool WWF antics and a John Belushi SNL sketch.
Pretty damn accurate
@@JoeBat95 Thanks JV. Take care and long live baseball.
A very athletic unathletic man . A hell of a pitcher and loved by the fans and his team mates! One of MLBs great personalities! Ya gotta love Bartolo! Can’t wait to see what he does in an old timers game in the future!!
Great video Wonderful inspiration for kids! The anouncers and roars of the crowd are simply magical! I agree this video is a great storyboard to turn this into a treatment for a proper baseball ⚾ script of his amazing life story.
0:56 the best moment in baseball history
The excitement and voice crack from the announcer as if he just hit a walk off homerun in game 7 in a World Series!
Best video by the Mets ever, we need Bart back
Bartolo's home run and his behind the back flip are two of my all time favorite Mets memories.
We miss ya Big Sexy
Colon. .. man. Miss him
I miss Bartolo Colon... as a Mets fan he did what he could for us...
Took you guys long enough.
Lovin it
This man would live forever as a legend
One of the best mlb players of all times

Me diò mucha alegria sus compańeros contento .
Casi todos los comentarios in inglés.
Us in SD will remember that HR, jeeze
Great call by Gary Cohen on the home run: “and the IMPOSSIBLE HAS HAPPENED!”
Bartolo Colon should be enshrined in the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown NY, for simple fact no one ever had more fun playing the game.
I love bartolos little walk when he hit his home run
I didn't think a perfect thumbnail could exist and then I happened across this video.
A well-needed video.
Just need benny agabayyani video the same glory days as ricky henderson and Bobby bonialla when he had his 2nd stint
Love this guy,no matter who your team is,you can’t help but like him. Even with his size,he still runs better than Pujols lol.
Legendary
If you just wanted pure baseball entertainment than this was your man.
I miss this guy so much. He's much more athletic and skilled than he looks.
Please come back to the Angels we miss you Pillsbury Doughboy!!
I'm not even a Mets fan, but how can you not love Bartolo Colon?
Bartolo Colon is the reason that baseball highlight films even exist.
I love baseball so dam much it’s hard to pick one team so I don’t I love em all, Baseball Gods game
How is it possible to find "The Best of..." this man? Isn't it all the best?
Bartolo othani
This is what a Champion looks like in life!
What a legend!!!Salon de la fama for sure
Missing Baseball. Missing my Mets

Despite all of his many talents, the greatest thing about this man is his glorious, magnificent body!
Este hombre es genio y figura hasta la sepoltura
That's Mr.Colon i like this guy good pitcher
This man must be a favorite of the god of baseball.

That “it’s outta here!!!” Really came from his toes
The home run was epic
I love this 🤣
I am an avid fan of Bartolo colon . A good pitcher a hitter very athletic.
0:56 Imagine if he had done a bat flip. That would be the greatest home run ever in MLB history.
Wait. It might be already.

Los Dominicanos tienen buen humor, un pueblo que ríe sus penas Y llora su alegría.

I don't usually upvote MLB videos, but Colon deserves at least that much. Love this guy.
🐐
Crazy how many years he had in his career. Yet all his highlights are with the Mets
It’s the Mets yt channel they only put Mets clips in
You do mean nobody can change a double into a triple like this man let's get it right
If I can be honest here, I am seriously not a fan of baseball. But this man, makes me feel like I'm missing out on something xD
