My wife and I just leased a new 2024 Chevy Equinox RS on 11/27/24 for three years and 45,000 miles. Wife made first long trip to Rome, GA. and used a Tesla supercharger at a Bucky’s. Great car, goodbye and good riddance to gasoline and pollution.
Congratulations!I go to that Bucee’s because I’m near Dalton.I never knew they had Sulercharging there!I was just at the Ford Dealership looking at a MachE but I’m thinking about a Chevy Blazer EV.Thanks I would check out this car again!!
We bought basically the same car a few days ago. Same color and everything. One caution: the NACS adapter only allows you to use the newer Tesla Superchargers (250 kW or higher). The older 150 kW superchargers won’t work with non-Teslas.
Great review, not all full of tech stuff I wouldn’t be interested in. We are trading in our 22 Bolt and picking up our Equinox EV, grey of course lol, on Monday. I’m glad you touched on the difference in acceleration between the two. I love my Bolt, but it’s just not good in the snow and with the incentives, just made sense to get a vehicle that we could rely on despite the weather. So happy you are happy with your new wheels!
Just bought one dude. We're super excited about it. We loved the Galaxy Gray, but the particular LT configuration we were looking for seems popular in our region. A dealer showed me that 3 of the 4 at that configuration (within a 50 mile radius) had sold in the last 3 days. We had to settle on color to make sure we got it before the end of the year, and that's okay... cause you can't beat the price!
@@jimsmitherson6758 Congratulations on your Equinox! They do seem to be going very fast, even in my area. I put a $1000 deposit down to reserve mine. Make sure to share an update when you pick it up!
@@Big_Raf_TV The deal frustratingly fell through (even though we had a deposit down), but that was a blessing in disguise as another dealer offered us an even better deal and we were able to close before the end of the year. Exact configuration and the exact color ( #1 was Riptide Blue, but that Galaxy Gray was a close second!) that we wanted. We'd love to see an owner update from you.
Nice review and first week insights on your Equinox! Congrats! I just ordered a Blazer EV and as much as the super cruise would be nice to have, I agree with you that I didn't want to spend the extra $ for it. With my driving patterns, I'm not likely to actually use it very much so I left it out. My wife owns a Bolt EUV, and I'll be upgrading from a Gen 2 Volt, so I'm pretty excited.
@@johntenpas70 Congratulations on your Blazer! Those are also very nice. I did the math on the Super Cruise, and you have to add a bunch of packages to get it, so it wound up adding about $12,000 to the amount I paid! Way too much for me. Let me know how you like the Blazer once you get it!
@Big_Raf_TV will do! I considered the Equinox EV (one of the best looking EV's out there), as well as EV6, Prologue, Ioniq 5, Mach-e, ID.4, and Ariya, but went with the Blazer mostly because of the extra passenger space, range/towing with the RWD, and other features like heated rear seats.
Congrats on your purchase, man! Sweet vehicle, sweet color! So how quickly does the Level 2 charger replenish the battery back to 100%? And did you get the Tesla adapter from the dealer?
@@adstix Thank you! For the level 2 charger, it depends on the percentage that I was at before the charge. I typically never let my battery drop below 50%, which is about 159 miles. I plug in at night, usually around 10pm, and by 7am, I'm back to 80%, and I have it set to delayed charge. Also, yes, I got the adapter from the dealer as a part of the deal.
The road that you are driving on with the road repairs/patchwork would freak out the super cruise. Even my car freaks out when the lane centering is on and you come across those areas where the lines are missing, faded etc. I don't know how anybody could just take their hands off of the wheel and let the car do it all. (Not saying you do or would do)
How do you feel about the audio quality? I also came from an EUV and I feel that the audio sound quality in the Equinox is worse. I may have to eventually upgrade my speakers.
I personally think the speakers are awful. No subwoofer, which means when the bass hits, it sounds like you’re gonna blow a speaker and max volume seems very quiet… I would definitely say it would be worth upgrading. But other than that, I personally love the car!
Nice review!! I got one in december AWD I am really happy ! Got the level 2 Charger at home 32 Amp 240V yesterday since I am in South America ! Can anybody help me how to reduce the reflex of the dashboard on the windshield ?
That is a beautiful vehicle. I have a 2024 Equinox EV. I think the question you received was do you have a Level 2 wall charger installed. Like the Ultium charger, or the Tesla Universal charger.
@@steveellsworth2547 Yeah, I didn't see the point in paying extra for the special Ultium charger, when the charger that comes with it is a level two charger.
@@Big_Raf_TV I hear ya'. I purchased my garage charger a bit ago. I got the dealer to throw in my original garage charger with my 2020 Chevy Bolt, before I purchased my Equinox EV. I can understand the incurred cost. If you were to get a charger with an 80amp fuse in your circuit breaker, you can achieve faster speeds with say.....a Tesla Universal Charger.

I'm sure you already are, but do the research on everything before you make the decision. The Equinox is a great, great car so far, and I wouldn't change my decision on the switch.
You can get this car without any extras, just the base one with adaptative cruise control already included for around $21500 out the door easily. $1000 off if you have the Costco membership, $7500 federal, $500 off if you are first responder/teacher/ healthcare worker/ military. $1500 off if you have a non gm car OR $3000 off if you have a bolt EV/EUV and you finance with gm financial. 3.4% 60 months. And dealers mark down (easy 4500 off). Most of the offers if not all, ending in 1/2/25. For a 2025 year model electric car this is insane. Most of the discounts ending in 1/2/25 and looks like maybe they are going to remove the 7500 federal with the new Government next year. This is the time to get one.
Thanks for the review. How many miles per hour charge do you get from your home lvl2 charger? I'm concidering trading in my Tesla m3 for one of these and I was really curious about the home charging.
