    Thank you for sharing this process. I have learned a very valuable saving method today! The summer after my junior year at Delaware State Univ, we witnessed fresh broccoli brought straight from the farmers market. The broccoli was put in the kitchen sink immersed in water and SALT poured over it. This method caused the green worms to swim out of the broccoli. Have you ever used this procedure?

    I really enjoy you channel, and I have learned a lot. I see you have a few marigolds have you notice many bugs around them? There are lots of bugs that are repelled by marigolds. I saw in another of your vlogs that your greens were eaten try putting the marigolds with them and your tomatoes. The first time I planted tomatoes the bugs took over the next time I put a marigold in the pot, and I had no bugs.

    Wait! Did you freeze the broccoli first so that the dehydration process doesn't smash it?

    • @abeautifulnest
      @abeautifulnest  ปีที่แล้ว

      First steam for about 5 minutes then ice bath to stop the cooking process. Lay them out on parchment paper then freeze them separately. Take them out once frozen then vacuum seal them to lock in the freshness. This will also keep them from being one large frozen block off broccoli. They freeze like the bags in the store.
