I enjoy your videos. I’m in GA 8A. The frost killed everything except for my collards 😩 My 1st time growing broccoli and had a head on it…I was very disappointed.
You can plant lemongrass or lemon balm around your plants I have a small patio garden for 3 years I put lemongrass on both sides of my 🍅 plants no hornworm or slugs you can also use garlic plants thru out your garden it works great happy gardening from Maryland

I love the potatoes and wish I had seen you start yours back last season. I want to try the fingerling one. Where did you get yours from? I need chickens! Coops are just too expensive for me and I’m scared to get a cheap one and not have enough protection. But I loved seeing you did those potatoes up. This will be my first year attempting to grow some❤️

I can't wait to get back into the garden in the spring, (I live in Ohio 🥶) though I do have some things growing inside, it's just not the same. A seed catalogue arrived today in the mail, it just made me anxious to get tomato, pepper and onion seedlings started soon.
One question though, how do you keep the chickens out of the garden? Mine will destroy my garden, if given the opportunity to be that close to it. (And I loved seeing the clips of the chicks btw 🐤💕)

The chickens are welcome to eat from the garden. They usually don’t eat to much out of the garden even though they love collard greens! They usually forage in the grass and around the yard. Stay warm d safe! Happy gardening and Happy New Year! ❤️
@@abeautifulnest Mine love collard greens too.... So much so they ate them all!!. Lol 😆 Fortunately, I still had some canned from last year.
You do have alot of green grass for them. I hadn't considered that. I've turned most of mine into raised bed and gardening areas.

Hi neighbor! I live close to Atlanta where I was born and raised. Frost has definitely hit hard down here! Killed nearly everything including the grass! This harvest was in October. I gave a quick timeline in the beginning of the video for context. I was surprised to still be harvesting in October! It was such a blessing! Have a Happy New Year friend!

How I love your video…. I am also concerned about our food shortage. I also do a lot of gardening. It’s a blessing from God, He provides our harvest.That’s why I have a sign I made stating “God’s Garden”. 👍👍🙏🪴🙋🏻♀️
I’ve been saving potatoes for my New Years potato salad, but I noticed most are wrinkled, growing eyes and sprouting. 😞 I think that means the environment is too warm? I’ll have to do better next year.
They are still good potatoes. Cut the eyes off and sprouts and enjoy your salad. Happy New Year!

It's true, here in the Philippines, red onions cost 750 pesos ($15) per kilo..so I opt to plant my own. While others are panicking, me and my family enjoy our own harvest which is of course for free, organic and safe..
