How to fix replace tailgate lock actuator in 2016-2019 Chevy GMC trucks

Has your tailgate locking actuator mechanism quit working when using your key fob? Here's how to replace and fix the actuator. It's not too hard to fix but there are a few tricks to make it easier and ensure success!
This is for all models of 2016-2019 Chevy and GMC trucks equipped with the locking mechanism that locks and unlocks the tailgate at the same time as your door locks.
Actuator Part Number: 84374353 confirm before buying to make sure they haven't changed part numbers since I made this video.
(I bought mine from the AC Delco store on Amazon for about $50US)
Tools needed:
T-15 Torx to remove tailgate panel.
10mm socket to remove the 2 bolts.
A pick is nice to help unplug the electrical socket but it's not necessary, a screwdriver could also be used.
