Bent Wheel Test

My E46 has started shaking significantly, even at low speeds. I suspect that I have a bend rim. I used my gopro to see if I could at least narrow down which wheel was the culprit. This is how I tested the wheels on the road. What do you think?

@@x1area51ii7 got a new wheel bearing put on but still vibrations, went to a tyre shop and we found out the alloy is bent so i've ordered a replacement. i hope this makes it go away, doing my head in. literally at any speeds

How can i tell wether I have a bent wheel or bent axle

I have simmilar situation. Got a set of 19 inch wheels to replace my existing 19 inch wheels, just different style. With the old set of wheels, everything was smooth and great. I took the tyres i had on the previous wheels and fitted on the new set. All balanced, i've done the full alignment on my E60 and on the road. I noticed between 60-80mph the steering wheel vibrates the most, not really bad but noticeable, i can feel it in my hands while it vibrates and i can see it. At lower speed noticed that aswell, but not to bad. Also while i move left or right slightly on a curb etc, i can feel the left and right movement of the steering wheel while it vibrates and it feels in thsi way the worst. I went back and asked for another wheel-tyre balance, they did that, back on car the same thing. Fitted the old wheels and tyres back, no problems. The guys at wheels shop said wheels and tyres are perfect straight. What can be?

Are both oem? Wheel hub size can cause this also. Or slight bend that they aren’t seeing

Did you get the rear right bent wheel fixed, did it solve the vibration issues, i am having the same issue, not sure which wheel need to get them checked

Screwdriver in a vise sliding on the rim it has to be pretty bad for it to show up

Does a bent rim affect driving performance ? Yes right or am i wrong

It effects your confidence in the event that you have to take a quick turn with the bent wheel on the outside bearing lots of weight
