@@planetfixer you need to roll the game to an older version. this is not only impossible on console, but a pain on PC. I heard you no longer have to use your steam sign-in for the "simpler" one, but it just makes a once simple process complicated.

The new update made changes that made older versions of the script extender incompatible, and updated the format of ba2 archive files. Both of these things are good for the performance and stability of the game . The reason people roll back their game is because the mods they use are either abandoned or ignored by their authors so they wont work on the new version. Console doesn't even have the script extender so there is no reason for them to even want to roll it back. People have been begging Bethesda to make these sorts of back end improvements forever, when they finally do and it breaks old unmaintained mods, people freak out. Plenty of authors are taking time to update their mods for the new version, and others are choosing not to. Either way it is a compatibility issue created entirely by the third party modders and not the company that is allowed to make improvements to their game an any time. The climate and attitude to Bethesda has gone so far into the negative end of the spectrum that people assume every decision they make is simultaneously evil, lazy and incompetent. Then they blame Bethesda for their complete lack of troubleshooting ability when they load their game up with hundreds of conflicting mods for different versions of script extender. And it means people like you are comfortable forming and propagating completely wrong information because you don't care and it's acceptable to blame Bethesda completely uncritically for errors the end user is making

That's a different studio. It's also not entirely wrong. Most players aren't going to appreciate a deep nuanced story. It's just that Emil is on the other end of the spectrum where he is a writer that justifies a bad plot with saying "Keep It Simple Stupid."

Maybe a motorcycle (idk I just thought of that one cause of the pristine motorcycles you can find all around the map of fallout 4) fallout 3 was going to have these large mole rats that traders would ride around, maybe they’ll bring something like taht back. Unfortunately the closest thing to TES6 they have in production is Avowed. They probably won't even start working on TES6 until that's released and even then, they'll probably be busy updating and patching Avowed.

I really like the vehicle. You go to where you buy ship parts. It costs 25k credits but you don't need to attach anything to your ship. It just spawns wherever your ship is. I like how npc's will run away when you drive near them. I'm just wishing it had a horn. I wanted to spam the beep beep button.
Xbox never said their exclusive games will only ever be on Xbox, what they did say is their initial release will be exclusive. They always had every intention of releasing the games everywhere. So it's not "very telling", it's literally just them following through with their business plan.

My prediction: you land in New Atlantis and not only get immediately spammed with the tracker quest, but now the shattered space quest at the same time. No having to discover the quest opportunity through organic discovery. Nope just some random NPC with no personal filter just blurting it out as you walk by. Or you see the tracker and some other quest NPC standing side by side.
Tracker part makes sense at least, and I doubt shattered space will begin until you met Andreja. Wouldn't make sense to start dlc based on House Va'ruun without a character who actually has ties to it.

Frankly why people are hyped about KCD2, wasn't it well established that people didn't actually played the game? Yeah they bought it but the percentage of player that actually played past the tutorial/chapter1 is really low
This is probably considered Nick picky, but I feel it needs to be said if you bought the game as a premium edition, you are not getting the expansion for free because you already paid for the expansion.
Starfield is a fun game but has so many problems. I really wish they had abandoned the land bases, resources (just craft with money), and random locations. Just have missions, books, terminals... unlock what are considered random locations so you can land at these locations. I do not care for just wandering the surface on randomly generated areas. Plus I hated that they put magazines at locations that were random. Then add more ship modules for ship building and do some work on the combat. Also have some way of knowing what weapons are what categories. Then add more romanceable NPCs, more missions for the NPCs (only a few are really fleshed out). And change some... no most or the main missions to not be stupid repetitive fetch missions... Go find the location of the next shard, get the shard, find the location of the temple, unlock the power, kill a Starborn, rinse and repeat... over and over and over. It is like they ran out of ideas after about 5 and was like screw just fill it with a bunch of these. They could have also ditch the player home thing too. The Indiana Jones game just looks like Tomb Raider... which copied the idea of Indiana Jones.

They did it to themselves...I've played every Bethesda game from Daggerfall to Starfield (although I didn't put too much time in FO76) and each game has gotten progressively worse. Add in paid mods and their decent into the DEI/woke maelstrom and you have a company that has lost touch with it's roots, as well as many of it's fans. It happens I suppose🤷♂

I've almost completely quit playing SF. I'm so disheartened about the lack of cool mods, or for that matter ANY mods ,on nexus that I just lost interest. Bethesda finally found a formula to kill mods on nexus for their games. They tell me I can use nexus mods and creations at the sane time but it always seems to break my game if I try.
The Great Circle: There is a concept out there that I heard only recently, and not about the game, where if you notice... ALL of the ancient world's major sites - Giza Plateau, Nazca, Easter Island, El Dorado supposedly, etc. - Are all located on a very similar lattitude all around the world. This is how they are... NOW. Most likely the game will be Indie going to sites all around the world on the Great Circle to uncover some greater secret... Aliens perhaps.
Nvidia is kinda notorious for overselling the difference between RTX On vs Off in their showcases. The RTX Off footage in Avowed was probably with a bunch of settings turned down.
It also kind of looked better with RTX off in some examples? Like definitely less lighting but sometimes less is more. Just because something is technically superior doesn't always mean the artistic vision is better.
On the PS5 release: I assumed that s part of the reason for the short time-exclusivity was due to that renegotiated contract with Disney. I.e. Disney would not allow for extended exclusivity.

I jumped in the new Starfield buggy and started a new planetary survey. I was able to do it in half the time as I was before. I like the new land vehicle.
That buggy moves pretty fast, I wonder if the game's playable areas are going to become larger to compensate. Should in theory be possible since they were mostly procgen with some hero assets.

Look at the companies that make exclusives; naughty dog, sucker punch, insomniac, etc. compare to companies that never make exclusives; activision, Ubisoft, EA, etc. Exclusives tend to be better games that further the industry. When we get that vehicle it's only a matter of time until we get some cool vehicle mods as well.
Bethesda probably named their car buggy for the same reason why FromSoftware named their horse torrent.

I think Indiana Jones looks awful. It looks like the game equivalent to that last movie, quality wise. I really wish this was Wolfenstein 3 instead.

It feels like they don't like money , a remaster of any of their old games is guaranteed to sell amazingly well but they just refuse to get a studio to do it because only bethesda can work on fallout or TES for some reason.

My prediction: you land in New Atlantis and not only get immediately spammed with the tracker quest, but now the shattered space quest at the same time. No having to discover the quest opportunity through organic discovery. Nope just some random NPC with no personal filter just blurting it out as you walk by. Or you see the tracker and some other quest NPC standing side by side.
Tracker part makes sense at least, and I doubt shattered space will begin until you met Andreja. Wouldn't make sense to start dlc based on House Va'ruun without a character who actually has ties to it.

About Indiana Jones, they may have decided to drop it on PS5 as well to avoid anti-monopoly lawsuits. After acquiring so many game studios they should be careful with exclusives.
Frankly why people are hyped about KCD2, wasn't it well established that people didn't actually played the game? Yeah they bought it but the percentage of player that actually played past the tutorial/chapter1 is really low
This is probably considered Nick picky, but I feel it needs to be said if you bought the game as a premium edition, you are not getting the expansion for free because you already paid for the expansion.
Starfield is a fun game but has so many problems. I really wish they had abandoned the land bases, resources (just craft with money), and random locations. Just have missions, books, terminals... unlock what are considered random locations so you can land at these locations. I do not care for just wandering the surface on randomly generated areas. Plus I hated that they put magazines at locations that were random. Then add more ship modules for ship building and do some work on the combat. Also have some way of knowing what weapons are what categories. Then add more romanceable NPCs, more missions for the NPCs (only a few are really fleshed out). And change some... no most or the main missions to not be stupid repetitive fetch missions... Go find the location of the next shard, get the shard, find the location of the temple, unlock the power, kill a Starborn, rinse and repeat... over and over and over. It is like they ran out of ideas after about 5 and was like screw just fill it with a bunch of these. They could have also ditch the player home thing too.
The Indiana Jones game just looks like Tomb Raider... which copied the idea of Indiana Jones.
What I'm most interested in is Avowed. Maybe I'll be finished with Fallout London by the time it comes out.
mr jones is an archaeologist, so it's nice that this game seems to focus on puzzles and archaeology.

They did it to themselves...I've played every Bethesda game from Daggerfall to Starfield (although I didn't put too much time in FO76) and each game has gotten progressively worse. Add in paid mods and their decent into the DEI/woke maelstrom and you have a company that has lost touch with it's roots, as well as many of it's fans. It happens I suppose🤷♂

I started playing Starfield not long ago and was pretty much expecting and entertained by what I got. Don't understand how people can hate so much on this but do backflips to say that Cyberpunk has "redeemed" itself.

I did not expect this, mass effects Mako was always my favorite part of the game (save the epic energy weapon kill combos visuals) and always hoped starfield would implement a similar vehicle and this looks EPIC!
I've almost completely quit playing SF. I'm so disheartened about the lack of cool mods, or for that matter ANY mods ,on nexus that I just lost interest. Bethesda finally found a formula to kill mods on nexus for their games. They tell me I can use nexus mods and creations at the sane time but it always seems to break my game if I try.
The Great Circle: There is a concept out there that I heard only recently, and not about the game, where if you notice... ALL of the ancient world's major sites - Giza Plateau, Nazca, Easter Island, El Dorado supposedly, etc. - Are all located on a very similar lattitude all around the world. This is how they are... NOW. Most likely the game will be Indie going to sites all around the world on the Great Circle to uncover some greater secret... Aliens perhaps.

Nvidia is kinda notorious for overselling the difference between RTX On vs Off in their showcases. The RTX Off footage in Avowed was probably with a bunch of settings turned down.
It also kind of looked better with RTX off in some examples? Like definitely less lighting but sometimes less is more. Just because something is technically superior doesn't always mean the artistic vision is better.
On the PS5 release: I assumed that s part of the reason for the short time-exclusivity was due to that renegotiated contract with Disney. I.e. Disney would not allow for extended exclusivity.

I jumped in the new Starfield buggy and started a new planetary survey. I was able to do it in half the time as I was before. I like the new land vehicle.

That buggy moves pretty fast, I wonder if the game's playable areas are going to become larger to compensate. Should in theory be possible since they were mostly procgen with some hero assets.

Why do people think exclusives are bad? Look at the companies that make exclusives; naughty dog, sucker punch, insomniac, etc. compare to companies that never make exclusives; activision, Ubisoft, EA, etc. Exclusives tend to be better games that further the industry. Without them there’s less competition and worse products
