The government needs to take urgent action to address the crisis in NHS Dental Access. The future of NHS dental provision now hangs in the balance. We need YOUR help to lobby your local MP and make this a key battleground for future elections. Both did a phenomenal job at explaining the crisis. It’s so easy to just blame dentists when in actuality this is a problem due to chronic government underfunding.
Thanks so much for your support Tom- it really means a lot. You are so right - most of the dentists in our professional networks really believe in the NHS and want to offer NHS services but it’s becoming increasingly difficult. We have a newly refurbished Practice in a lovely village with a stable patient list but even we have an associate vacancy 🤷♀️ We’re calling on all of our patients to write to their MPs to raise this on the political agenda. We just want the government to be honest about available funding and what this can pay for. If funding is only sufficient to cover kids/ exempt patients (or some other pt categories) then at least be honest and say so, rather than pretending that it’s a full service and leaving dental teams with Sophie’s choice about which half of their local population they can serve. Thanks again for your support 🙏
