    I have a Blizzard, it was horrible to drive in any conditions with the stock ESCs and motors. I put in twin HW1060s and twin Traxxas 380 motors with a Spektrum DX6e, and it is now fun to drive.

    Hmmmm not sure what I think of this one?. Sure did look great out there. I assume it wont go over all terrain as nicely... But it has been something I really like in the Blizzard format. Always have. And always wondered how it would be as an expedition style rig.. So I will still have to explore that one day.. Thanks for sharing and a Thumbs up from me.. :P

      Part of the fun is that although you might think you can go over anything, finding out that you can't makes you a smarter Trail King driver ...and I know I still laugh out loud every time I Endo the thing!
      Vines and sticks are the greatest hazards, that and losing a track or hanging one up in too sharp a turn on tall grass or other underbrush can be a bummer, too. Just takes a little practice every outing to get a feel for how much it'll take.

    I like it. It would be a fun rig to pack and groom my winter trail system.

      Absolutely! I'd recommend the actual Blizzard for that. Comes with a front plow and you can get an actual groomer to run off the back!

    Drop in a sabertooth esc. And a couple of traxxas cans and you have one hell of a trail ripper! Looks like I'll need to be using my blizzard in 4 seasons now 😅 no longer just a snow rig 🤪

    Mr matt, does the instruction box say anything about the low temp for running? My old blizzard said dont run it in Temps lower the 32 degrees, just wondering.
    Your driving videos are always great!

    • @FattyMattyG46
      @FattyMattyG46 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve ran my blizzard 2.0 in temps down to 10f no problem. I just let it sit outside for 10-15 before running it to cool down, otherwise you get snow and ice buildup in the track from warm plastic and cold snow.

  • @ironcityrc2583

    That’s cool. Unrelated ?, what is the braided wire covering you use to hide the servo and esc wires. I saw it in another vid you did and can’t find for the life of me!!!!

    • @scalebuildersguild
      @scalebuildersguild  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's from a company on Amazon called Alex Tech. Comes in all kinds of different widths. I mostly use 14/" for truck wiring!

    I have a Blizzard up in MI. I'm assuming all I need to do is buy one of these bodies and paint it, and that's the only difference between the two? If so, maybe I'll do that and run this thing in the summer up there sometimes too.

    • @scalebuildersguild
      @scalebuildersguild  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pretty much Nick. You can add the plow as well.

    • @nicholasbarber4193
      @nicholasbarber4193 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@scalebuildersguild I already have the plow on it, since it's the blizzard, so I'd actually need to take it off. Lol. I have a feeling this thing could also be fun playing with in the ditch and the mud as well. :D. I'll have to see about getting a body when I do orders for the shop tonight. Thanks, Matt!
