Clauneck is a very interesting character. Why does he help the lamb? Is it truly the fate he sees in his cards? Is he his own being of unmatched strength? He basically gives the lamb free power-ups on his crusades. How much does Clauneck know of the realm of the old faith? How old and wise is he? All of this wrapped behind a red cloak and some cryptic poetry, meant to be left as an NPC without a backstory to be objectified; this is one of the main themes of Cult of the Lamb.
I don't believe he helps, but rather reads. He sees the future by reading the tarot cards and simply acts on his own accord regardless of the lambs actions, I believe him "helping" is just a gameplay thing but I believe he is something bigger than what we have seen so far
@@caramelconundrum9280 He's not a part of the Ars Goetia, but from different grimoires of demons: The Secrets of Solomon, Grimorium Verum, and Dictionnaire Infernal. The goetia only has 72 demons and he's not one of them.
I never had so much respect for a character than I have for this one. I don't know why but this character seems to have an effect on me. I am not kidding.
To summon Clauneck, you have to actually get to them before asking for things. Otherwise, your experience could end very badly. So either A. Clauneck & the Lamb knew each other before the lamb became a vessel; which could explain why Clauneck is so willing to give the lamb tarot cards. B. In a future update, perhaps you could anger Clauneck enough to start some kind of boss battle by asking for too much in one crusade. (EX. Every time you appear in a tarot card room during a crusade, you buy them from the pedestal and you take them from Clauneck)
this is literally the best soundtrack of any game within recent years i dont know how you did it but every song is completely unique and catchy while separating themselves and standing out 10/10

The cards in the pedestal have to recharge I'm pretty sure you can only get one on a crusade
