The fact that you ran past the Guardian Stones and i couldnt recognize the area with familiarity is a testament to how much this overhauls the game.

What kind of computer do you need to run this on max settings (the Ultima mod, not vanilla)
@@forcedge2302I personally have a rtx 3060 a i7 11th gen and 16 gigs of ram. There is a way that you can make it work pretty good with 16 gigs of ram and it tells you how when you install nolvus. Also you make want at least a 500 gig ssd more if you want to add a lot on top of it.
@@forcedge2302 I think by their mod page it's a RTX 3080 TI, 32GB RAM, SSD 392GB, i7 10000 series (or ADM equivalent). You can find it in their site (download page, in requirements).

whatever your specs are, the game will still lag from time to time just because of the engine limitations.

Nolvus' modpack is nothing short of amazing and I highly recommend it
dude this is beautiful. Like seriously they need to give us a game like this without any bs.
The mod pack he’s using requires 32 gb of ram minimum, 400 gb worth of mods, and recommends a 4070 at least, in order to run it, which is way out of reach for most gamers, so I doubt any game studio would be willing to make a game like this unfortunately.

@eonarose well it's because he modified things that were already there. I'm sure if you're starting from scratch and adding things for a new game it would not be as big of an issue. I mean look at some of the beautiful games we already have that exist on pc/next generation consoles.
But it would take devs with passion instead of battle passes.
@@eonarose It's sad that triple-A gaming has come to this point, manipulating thousands of people, such as yourself, into thinking that a new game cannot be optimized anymore. A game like this could easily (relatively) be made, optimized, and compressed by a triple-A dev with the budget that they usually have. They're just so unbelievably lazy nowadays that they'll just take the route requiring the least effort, screwing all consumers over just for their own gain. I'm sorry that these greedy and lazy devs made you see modern game development this way.

@Nukt you should do an entire playthrough (break it down into episodes) I would love to see your take on a Stormcloak, Imperial, Companion, Assassin, Thief and so on. Seperate characters obviously. I know Mage isn't really your take based off the videos I have seen but be interesting to see the route you'd go there too.
Hell I'd even just be happy with massive arena battles or if you use any Civil War mods and just take part in massive battles. Cities AND out in the wild.

4:40 - nice to hear that even in such an amazingly modded game on high end system, Skyrim is still being Skyrim and somewhere close is a spasming corpse with physics going haywire. That sound is just unmistakable. Some bugs never go away.

Winterhold was unrecognizable. I thought you were in Windhelm when I saw those old nordic architectures.
If you haven't already I'd highly recommend getting the Disk Cache Enabler mod! It smooths out stutter almost completely and on lower to mid graphics cards you can see fps boosts of 5 to 10 frames.

Nolvus is its own automated list actually, he's modified the list but you can get a similar experience just playing the base list
this is the best skyrim i have seen to date. Congratulations. Do you play / record this at 4k ?. How much FPS do you get ?

What cpu/gpu do you have... and how much RAM?
Buildings, cities, roads - everything looks so big, much bigger than in the original Skyrim. I always thought the original scale was very small. This detail changes everything! This is really astonishing! But how? Were the size ratio edited, or is it all about the new camera? What kind of mod is this?
This looks absolutely gorgeous! Unfortunately I'm scared that my 3060 won't be able to handle this, let alone the possibility of it getting fried if it does manage to handle this overhaul

Have you looked into Redux? It’s meant for lower specs. I’m running it on my 5600x/3070/16gb ram build and it has been looking great 👌🏾

A 2070 at least and you're good to go, though you'll need 350Go on a SSD and 32 to 64Gb of Ram if you want to play fast and not wait for the game to load 15min once you hit that play button.
I installed it yesterday, I thought it looked Amazing, but watching something and playing it is different, once inside it wasnt my jam, from the sound design to the animations and visuals, I felt something was off, I love to mod my SKyrim like hardcore but always try to keep it lore friendly and with that little Skyrim OG taste, that one is gone with this modlist I feel.
But try it and make your own mind, the work behing this modlist is just insane, it runs stable as a rock and its still interesting to try ;)

Just got the nolvus mod, too. It looks amazing on the 4090. With a 10700k, 64GBs of RAM, and the ultra install, I'm getting 40-45fps outside, and 55-60fps indoors. Honestly amazed at how awesome it is. 2000+ mods ain't no joke. I remember trying to get 300 mods to work in Morrowind 😂😂
I just have a 3080Ti, overclocked and watercooled and tried 4k and 1440p but this collection is burning my GPU. Is it still bottlenecking on your 4090?!

I dont use dlss either and it runs just fine.
It is probably the cpu bottlenecking the 4090

Your modifications involved all those fancy physics on the character? Or are those already in Nolvus?
Nolvus adds the physics on clothing and hair that you're seeing. Nolvus also handles the body physics. It's a really comprehensive modpack. I've added a few mods on top for my personal taste, but the modpack itself is really plug and play

It unbelievable that his "old" engine is capable of such great GFX with the right mods and hardware power. I gave up on continuously upgrading PC years ago, switched to console. It sad that Xbox SX port of Skyrim doesn't know about ENB but even without with the right mods the game looks amazing, though by far not on this level.

Haha no they would never change their modlist based on someone's customization. They do take suggestions on additional mods for when they do update their modpack. Honestly, I've recently moved over to Nolvus after about 4 years of modding and I'm not looking back. The modpack is comprehensive at it's base, and then you can add your own personal tastes to it.

This looks like a beautiful modlist. I use Elysium Remastered now but this one blows that one away in terms of visuals.
I will definitely check this one out once it is finished.
Some perfectly ignorable advice for future reference tough: If you're going for an 'ambience' video like this one, I would just walk and not run everywhere.
The physics causes the cloth to flop all over the place and it takes away from the calm aesthetic of this otherwise beautiful scenery.
