@@RelentlessZen That would be a good video to do, seeing as I've downloaded Nolvus and play it after work. My main thing, is the UI; I don't like what Nolvus has but the one you are using in this video is marvelous. But knowing what it is, and how to install it in this already massive modlist seems daunting. I am also unfamiliar with MO2. But maybe once I get home today I can ask around the discord and see if anything has been brought up about it. I know another youtuber named nukt does amazing videos of a customized version of Nolvus. Looks incredible. But great video, can't wait for part 2.
@@RelentlessZenOh that is what that one is?? Yeah someone did mention that, and I do want to do that but, what goes through my mind is. Do I take out the current UI mod, download those two and slap them into MO2? I am just not familiar with any of that. Seeing as I haven't modded manually or with any sort of tools in a long time lol. More familiar with Vortex.

I have been playing this for the last few days. It only crashed once on me and froze once after that. Then nothing since then. Id say about 16hours of gameplay after those two occurs with no problems. I have been modding this game for years and never look forward to the days of modding and tweaking to get my own personal list to work right with 1000 mods. I threw all that out and downloaded this and now I can finally play the game and have fun instead of modding it. Thanks for everyone involved in putting this mod list together and making it work. It is amazing! (-After 20 hours more playtime no crashes. Fantastic!)
Just installed the Nolvus modpack and I'm gearing up for my 100th playthrough of Skyrim! This modpack is absolutely stunning-it feels like a completely new game every time. Thanks so much for making this tutorial, it made the whole process a breeze! Looking forward to diving in, and I hope you keep making even more amazing videos! 🙌
I started playing this last week, and it’s hard to believe I’m taking moments to just admire how absolutely gorgeous things are for a game that released more than a decade ago. Absolutely insane modding community and pack organizer. There are some graphical bugs, and some quests are buggy, but I recommend going into the game with an adventure mindset-accept that things may not work and you’re just there to explore a world, and you’ll have a blast
Marvelous editing skills.. The choices of music and audio editing are just perfect. You have a really good talent at presenting the mods. Everything is working in perfect harmony. I wish id saw your videos sooner, but I guess better late than never, im definitely here to stay. You really make us want to play it. Amazing work.
This modlist is f*** amazing... never had the chance to play skyrim with more than 300 mods without any issues... played around 70 hours and the game crashed maybe 4 times.. no negative influence on quests or any other bugs. I joined his patreon this guy deserves support!
What modding has done to this game is simply unbelievable! Great video, more people need to know about nolvus or wabbajack because there are soooo many great mods out and most of us can’t or don’t want to figure out how to mod the game, find conflicts etc. I would love to see more mod list reviews from you!
Xactly. I'm guilty. A couple years back I was trying to get a mod list to work and I gave up. It's like you have to take a class to get things to work >
@@spyritwind2540 don’t remind me. I remembered when I first played Skyrim and played the main story, the dlc with the tentacle things and some faction quests. Then I stumbled upon mods for Skyrim and I completely wrecked my save with random mods trying to get them to work mid playthrough. I put so much time in xedit and all the other programs. But there was always a mod that conflicted in some way with another until I stopped playing Skyrim for a while then started again with modding. But it’s like an addiction. You search through the mods and there is ALWAYS a mod that’s also nice. Never played the big mods like bruma because I ruined my Skyrim either conflicting mods or bad balance. And modpacks are simply amazing how much work they put in. In my opinion they are making unique games FOR FREE (if you have the hardware). Funny thing is I’m bored because I’m overclocking my pc for nolvus and waiting for the stresstests at the moment, that’s why I’m writing so much. I wish everyone who reads this till the end the very best
I was on the fence about getting Nolvus but this video single-handedly convinced me to dive in! As others have mentioned, the work you clearly put into this video is insane but the actual cinematography in this video is absolutely incredible and pushes what already looks like a gorgeous and feature-packed mod into one that looks like a movie. Huge kudos and I look forward to seeing more content from you!
13 years and skyrim is still the game i keep reinstall on my PC because the game vibes really dictated by you. i can rush 10 quests in 5 hours or do nothing but camp and survive the cold in 6 hours of playtime.
I’m really not a fan of Nolvus at all, but I just want to say that I’m taken aback at how high quality this video is. The narration, camerawork, and scripting are genuinely great, and I’d love to see more Skyrim content from you in the future.
@@RelentlessZen Thanks for the info!! The last time I was installing Skyrim, the MCM and the sky UI didn't work with the aniversary edition so I kinda backed out of playing it😅 (Edit) Just another question do I need to have some mods like sky UI, MCM before or does it come with the pack?
Great video. And it's nice to see a showcase like this also guiding players too. I love Nolvus but the problem with any large mod list is that you often aren't aware of all the extra elements added so you can end up missing out on so much. This showcase helps you find and even configure some of these more hidden additions. Also, thanks for showcasing Vlad! 😁
Wow... had no idea about the staff attack combos. I've been playing with Nolvus for only a month now and there's still a ton of stuff I'm stumbling on by accident. It's absolutely insane and it's no longer Skyrim. It's a brand new triple A game.
I don't normally consider lists like this. Normally a lot I don't like in them, but this... this is amazing. I think you just have got me to try a....8....9...er...100, oh who's counting anyway, play through. The Druid and Mage stuff looks fantastic and I always wanted to play more of a proper druid style character in a TES game.
Just intalled this two days ago and have just finished my game for today...after like 6hrs straight lol. I wanted to see how it plays out first before commenting. Anyway, I want to say that it works like a charm. I unfortunately have to install the Redux version since I only have the RTX 3060 for my GPU but I can confidently say that it still looks a lot (about 90%) like the video showcased above. This saved me countless hours of reinstalling MODs and shaping the vanilla game the way I like it. NOLVUS MOD list pretty much included every MOD I would like already. Still so much to experiment and discover in this version of Skyrim world. Thanks a bunch!!!
I'm just finishing up part 2 vid! Lots more to show for you to try! Thanks so much for stopping by to share your thoughts! You can also add DLSS from PureDarks patreon to get an extra 20 FPS, if you need help join the Nolvus discord :)
May i ask, can i run this modpack with an RTX 3050 Vram 6 GB, i have AMD Ryzen 7640HS, i'm playing on Lenovo LOQ (Laptop). I have 8 GB ram (I don't have budget to upgrade it for now..)
You delved into that in a way I've never seen in a review before. Very open to playing in other ways you might gravitate yourself and explaining them thoroughly. Just blown away by the Nolvus collection and a similar awe at this new review level I hope becomes more standard.
Part two is cooking as we speak! Thank you so much for the kind words these reviews take a ton of research and grind to get out there. I work full time and it's rough to balance content and my job. its people like you that keep me going!
Easily the best modpack review I've ever seen, I don't mean the mod, I mean the video, amazing editing, music & scenery, thanks man! Edit: as I've watched more of the video... I mean seriously man, this editing... amazing
Great video! Excellent editing, as with all of your vids. The information was laid out well, and without a dull moment; this video didn't feel like it was anywhere near half an hour long. I did a Nolvus playthrough earlier this year, after learning about it from your trailer, and I was very impressed. That said, my playthrough was mostly vanilla. I think, once I'm done with Phantom Liberty, I'll do another Nolvus playthrough and engage more deeply with the modded content. Thanks for the information and inspiration!
Commenting on this video twice, because this is hands down the best review of the mod and vektor should link it to the page. With over 2000 mods, it’s overwhelming to figure out what the mod actually does (especially if you haven’t played Skyrim in years). This is a brilliant introduction for a new player.
This helped me find Nolvus! I really hope you consider in the future doing a video that is like a noob guide for the basic systems that are consistent in all Nolvus playthroughts. In this video you show off some mods specifically which gives you the "this is cool" feeling. But When you drop into Nolvus, THERE IS ALOT. A UI Guide, a Basic Combat/Rules guide, things like that. I've been enjoying discovering it, but It would be a cool video to see and I think youre the guy to do it
What an awesome review video. I wish I had the patience to tackle something with sooooo many new controls, combos, stances, systems, etc. I always just get lost in the sauce and overwhelmed with these, but god do they look gorgeous and fun once you get it all down. If these huge packs had full controller integration with selection popup wheels for all the things I could probably commit, but they just have so many mods that require controls! Had fun watching!
I've come to the realization these mod packs are the only way to get a complete, stable, modern Skyrim. I've been downloading mods and modding since 2014, and there's always something that comes up that puts a halt on Skyrim. And then once I have time to start back up again, there are just so many mods to sort through, by the time I catch up again, I'm either too worn out and need a break, or life gets in the way 😅. This pack looks pretty amazing, I think I'm just going to go for it and forget about trying to get the perfect everything 😜
I'm so excited to try this out! Starting the modding process is always a chore and I end up doing something wrong, but this will make it super easy! Thanks for bringing this modpack to light!
Great video! I'm gonna start a new character in Nolvus now that i understand the Unbound mod and a few other things a bit better. If you do a part two I would definitely love to see a bit on the reputation system mod!
I'm preparing to curve my expectations for ES6 now, to avoid the inevitable disappointment. Skyrim in its modded state is very difficult to beat at this point, and it is still evolving. This showcase is incredible. The Skyrim modding community never ceases to amaze.
Just dropping by to say the editing in this spotlight is great, I love that you're mentioning individual mods rather than just go "oh yeah there's like 5 magic mods overhauling mage gameplay". I sunk many hours into custom modded lists, as well as in Qwest and Elysium. I am excited to try this one next.
I am currently downloading this mod pack while typing this message! I am excited to play Skyrim again as if it's a brand new game! So excited! Also - awesome video! Well done!
Looks like a blast... as soon as I can get myself to step away from Cyberpunk I will certainly give this a try. I've been itching for a Skyrim playthrough but it will be exciting to have so many completely new features to discover and experiment with
I have been seeing these insane 2k+ mods but have been beyond overwhelmed thinking about manually doing it. Only to fuck up somewhere and not knowing where and the game won't even start. Then having to start allllllllll over again. So, to see that this is finally possible, I just need to pay for Nexus premium as I don't have sanity to manually hit ok for that many mods. I can finally push my PC and skyrim to its limits!
it's well worth it, the game feels completely different. there's obviously a learning curve to having setup just the way you want it to be via the MCMs when i do Part 2 I'll cover what I do when starting a fresh playthrough including my MCM prep. hopefully that will help you if you ever get to trying Nolvus :)

I don't comment often but this was quality stuff! Thank for putting this beautiful video together! It definitely got my behind to quickly download this pack and play it to my hearts content as well as share this with others so they may enjoy it as well!
I know it's too late for this video, but if you ever do a new one- it would be really appreciated if you could show what if any beast race changes have been applied. Generally with most mod lists they get skipped almost entirely, and most of the best beast race mods are skipped, simply because modding beast races is more difficult as is making sure they are set up correctly.
I had a random hankering to play Skyrim again... I was like "I'll just look up some new mods". I was not expecting this. I am downloading it right now I cannot wait to play!
I just spent half of yesterday remodding skyrim for the 11th time, only to learn about Nolvus today. Have immediately scrapped my shoddy setup and working towards getting Nolvus set up.
First of all the video is magnificent: it feels brief yet so complete and got me hooked like it was a 5min one✨ I was just wondering, with all this incredible maneuvers and powers, can the enemies still be threatening? Are they gonna use it some themselves? Or they are simply going to deal more damage?

OMG your player character!! He’s so well groomed and really, really, really ridiculously good looking and when you combine that with that male model facial expression that says “yeah I’m here and yeah I’m perfect and yeah we’re in a small room but I’m scanning an imaginary horizon 1000s of yards away for some reason” He has exactly the look that makes him the perfect candidate for insurance against death caused by a freak accident during a harmless gasfight. Or petrol fight, in your case. He is SO intensely handsome and well groomed that as soon as I saw him the contrast between his appearance and the rough, ancient and dangerous world all around him made a loud laugh explode from my mouth. I'll be making a Part 2 covering the stuff I didn't get round to! including Starting the game for the first time and getting things setup the way you want before venturing into Skyrim for 111th time!
@@SkeletonManBones you can find me in the Nolvus discord, im happy to help. the UI is called Untarnished and required another mod called Dear Diary.
@@SkeletonManBones what i did was just download both dear diary and untarnished , first you install dear diary, then untarnished, activate them by ticking the boxes on the left panel and away you go.
Hey hows your expirience so far with Nolvus?
There is no doubt this is best collection/mod pack period. You explained everything perfectly
Skyrim is basically my home town. I had to leave it one day, but I always go back for vacation visits, and it's my comfort zone.
I'm the same way, its my game when im sick too, no discord vc or lobbies, play at your own pace, your own way. soothing!
The narration, camerawork, and scripting are genuinely great, and I’d love to see more Skyrim content from you in the future.
working on part 2 atm, then I might review Wildlander
Is there any problem with it?
@@caliburn1123 problem with Nolvus? no its a very well polished List for those who can run it on their pc.
@@caliburn1123 it just doesn’t appeal to me on a personal level, that’s all.
@@RelentlessZen Thanks for the info!!
The last time I was installing Skyrim, the MCM and the sky UI didn't work with the aniversary edition so I kinda backed out of playing it😅
(Edit)
Just another question do I need to have some mods like sky UI, MCM before or does it come with the pack?
This mod collection is so beautiful I recommend it at most. Can't stop playing Skyrim is a completely new game. Many thanks to the developers
So the thing about skyrim is
Don't forget that it's also
Skyrim is definitely one of the
Mayhaps, however
😅
I don't its is the thing
I love Nolvus!! It truly feels like i am playing a brand new game. I enjoy just walking around the wilderness
Wow... had no idea about the staff attack combos. I've been playing with Nolvus for only a month now and there's still a ton of stuff I'm stumbling on by accident. It's absolutely insane and it's no longer Skyrim. It's a brand new triple A game.
This is nuts, I JUST downloaded your Druid preset yesterday, and then I see this.
You're quite the giver, Mr. Zen!
Part 2 and a bunch of new presets on their way too!
This right here has saved me 1 month of tears of setting up a Perfect Modded Skyrim.
This is one of those modlists that I could cry its so genuinely thoughtful and well made. Im so ready for my pc to finish downloading this!
Its amazing,,, is your game working? I cried , knowing my skyrim is now perfect,, yes i did
I don't normally consider lists like this.
I must say... your review is unmatched, bro.
Glad you think so! ❤
Easily the best modpack review I've ever seen, I don't mean the mod, I mean the video, amazing editing, music & scenery, thanks man!
Edit: as I've watched more of the video... I mean seriously man, this editing... amazing
Sorry for the late comment ;) AMAZING review, the best i've seen. I'm gratefull for all the work done. Nice to have you on this community!
This mod list made me fall in love with the game again.
Commenting on this video twice, because this is hands down the best review of the mod and vektor should link it to the page. With over 2000 mods, it’s overwhelming to figure out what the mod actually does (especially if you haven’t played Skyrim in years). This is a brilliant introduction for a new player.
It's done, it has been linked right away after released in the player guide web site page
How many gb is it?
345 gb - 392 gb, depending on which version you choose. @@natel7382
I've been enjoying discovering it, but It would be a cool video to see and I think youre the guy to do it
Yes, would be great to have a ,, 50 beginner tips for Novlus video.. Because its so massive lol
part of the download crew here, your video just made me so much more sure of the nolvus choice :D
Nice! if you haven't already there is a part 2 and 3 of this video series on Nolvus
There's a neat mod called wheeler people use for controller. There's a section in the discord for controller support too.
Huge props for this video, it looks absolutely fantastic and the breakdown is so nice to follow. Also masterwork on the camera work for the footage.
Wow... this is an amazing complete review! I love your cinematics and music choices! :)
I am currently downloading this mod pack while typing this message! I am excited to play Skyrim again as if it's a brand new game! So excited!
Also - awesome video! Well done!
Thank you! Don't forget to check out part 2!
@@RelentlessZen incredible video man you have impeccable taste in editing and overall presentation 👌
Looks like a blast... as soon as I can get myself to step away from Cyberpunk I will certainly give this a try. I've been itching for a Skyrim playthrough but it will be exciting to have so many completely new features to discover and experiment with
Thank you for the video, I learned more than I dared dream of
This looks absolutely phenomenal. Great video editing btw and a modlist that might just make me want to play Skyrim AGAIN.
@@RelentlessZen Would you be able to share your specs? I tried running it on my 32:9 monitor, but performance isn't great, also what settings you selected when installing would be helpful!

Loving Nolvus to death by the way
Also how are you getting the screen shake while sprinting?
Beautiful, I installed most of these mods on my Xbox before and it really does make it a whole new game
An excellent review, most excellent indeed!
I've been on the fence about playing Skyrim again as I hate spending days on various mods and then losing interest 5 minutes into finally settling on a playthru... so this is a most welcome surprise!
Yeah this is the way! Spend time playing and experiencing new things rather than modding and burning yourself out.
I am in awe of your video, sir. Congratulations on it.
From the video quality to the editing and scene captures, everything is on point! I've been considering buying the anniversary edition just to dive into Skyrim again.
Although I thought Starfield would be enough to keep me away, it's clear that there's still so much to explore in Skyrim, and this is no BS coming from me.
You, sir, have truly inspired me! All credits for my return video go to you!
Furthermore, one thing that truly seals the deal is the soundtrack. Oh my goodness, what an amazing job you did editing it into the video. Please, sir, could you tell me where you sourced this music from?
Cheers!
Thanks for the kind words! Music is licensed to me via Epidemic sound
I don't comment often but this was quality stuff! Thank for putting this beautiful video together! It definitely got my behind to quickly download this pack and play it to my hearts content as well as share this with others so they may enjoy it as well!
Thank you for taking the time! Part 2 is now also available if you haven't already seen it!
OMG this looks stunning! Awesome work as always, Zen!
I had a random hankering to play Skyrim again... I was like "I'll just look up some new mods". I was not expecting this. I am downloading it right now I cannot wait to play!
This is the best Skyrim video I've ever seen.
I just spent half of yesterday remodding skyrim for the 11th time, only to learn about Nolvus today. Have immediately scrapped my shoddy setup and working towards getting Nolvus set up.
First of all the video is magnificent: it feels brief yet so complete and got me hooked like it was a 5min one✨
I was just wondering, with all this incredible maneuvers and powers, can the enemies still be threatening? Are they gonna use it some themselves? Or they are simply going to deal more damage?
They use stances, dodge, parry and block you. Just like you
combat looks like anime garbage, not lore friendly at all
"Part of the download gang"... Calling me out at the end lmao. This is the perfect series to watch though while waiting. You absolutely nailed it.
I just don't like how over the top and stylized the combat is.
I agree. The combat is far too cinematic and not gritty enough to suit the graphic/ texture enhancements. It plays more like a Korean mmo.
@@Cyb3rFckyea because some of the animations and armour sets look like they’re ripped straight from Black Desert Online lmao
When you download the modpack you have the option of downloading less extreme move sets. This guy did what I did and downloaded the action move set. It’s more anime than the other. Don’t diss unless you know what you’re talking about pls
@@blaabbb1 It's not a diss dog lol he was just giving genuine criticism. The guy making the video should've included that or at least mentioned it so people who are not a fan of that style know of the alternative, he was basing his comment on this videos showcase
@scottholmes6080 Well it is a mod pack so I am sure you could simply not install that particular mod.
Nolvus look absolutely brilliant. Thank you Relentless Zen for taking the time to make this video. Once I have a powerful enough Gpu and an ssd, this will be the 1st thing to be downloaded.
Bro ty for covering this looks awesome! im just about to do my first pc build moving over from playstation. Ive played Skyrim for years ive got a feeling with these mods it's going to be like a completely new experience for me considering how little Sony let you mod Skyrim. I love that these are all included in Nolvus Ascension and looks to be easy to get it installed. Can't wait to play ty again mate!
It looked amazing before, but Bladestaff casting is what REALLY sold me. incredibly sick visuals ngl
I just started nolvus playthrough. It is as if you are playing a familiar game you have played in your childhood but at the same time it’s like playing Skyrim for the 1st time

I have only ever played Skyrim years back when it first came out and it was super brief yet this makes me want too pick up a copy and give it a go.
The quality of this showcase is insane. This is the kind of quality I expect for the showcase of a new big AAA game.
High praise! thank you, don't forget to check out the Part 2. Part 3 also in the works!
This is the single best showcase of a mod I have seen, thus far. I almost want to watch it twice (and probably will once I get my new SSD)

Accidentally ran into your channel. And have to say, your videos are insanely good. For sure one of best skyrim youtubers out there in terms of content presentation. Keep it up
Thanks for this upload. I just finished running through a lot of "souls like" games and it has left me beaten, bruised, and yearning for a more laid back adventure. I thought to myself, "Why not return to my favorite game of all time,... SKYRiM?" So, I searched Skyrim in 2023 on TH-cam and your video popped up. Don't forget to check out Part 2!
I was just thinking of playing this again. I haventv played skyrim in a very long time. This looks like an entirely new game
I’m just going to call this new game Nolvus cause there is no WAY this is Skyrim anymore. I FREAKING LOVE ITTTT ❤😂
OMG your player character!!
He’s so well groomed and really, really, really ridiculously good looking and when you combine that with that male model facial expression that says “yeah I’m here and yeah I’m perfect and yeah we’re in a small room but I’m scanning an imaginary horizon 1000s of yards away for some reason”
He has exactly the look that makes him the perfect candidate for insurance against death caused by a freak accident during a harmless gasfight. Or petrol fight, in your case.
He is SO intensely handsome and well groomed that as soon as I saw him the contrast between his appearance and the rough, ancient and dangerous world all around him made a loud laugh explode from my mouth.
Thank you for giving me new goals for hilariously incongruous beauty in Skyrim through modding! I’m going to get to work immediately 😁
Finally it doesn't feel like I'm slipping and sliding while in combat, it's actually more intuitive and exciting
this video was amazing. thank you for showing me something that made me fall in love with skyrim again.
This looks amazing, it's a brand new game. I will definitely try it out, I've been looking for the best mods to install to improve the graphics and gameplay, and I can't believe someone created this. Thank you for the video!
