They'll feel like £5 is not much to give in comparison and would want to give it as they'll feel bad for not listening to your first request. This can go both ways. In negotiation you have to be very careful about doing this, because if your opponent doesn't trust you they will (perhaps rightly) thinking you are moving the goal posts. "Moving the goal posts" is kind of the negative-connotation phrase to describe the exact same situation as "foot in the door."

My guess is the satisfaction we feel from giving someone what they want makes us want to do it again. Someone asks you to do something and you do it for them, you feel good. You feel helpful. Important. Like you matter. Like you can do things. Like what you do has an impact. Two weeks and that feeling starts to subside… but then! Out of nowhere! A chance to get that feeling back? To make even MORE of a difference this time? Oh that’s a great feeling.

Talk about misuse of the term gaslighting! Do you even have a clue what it means?
Still true about only taking a couple weeks to flatten the curve, except in America at least, people are dead set against taking any concerted action to do so and will actively work to do just the opposite. Just look at the 2020 holiday season and the predictable spike in deaths following. US hit 3400 daily deaths. After the holidays, by simply being stupid instead of insanely stupid that rate has fallen to 700 per day. That number could easily plummet if American made the choice to lower it.

***** Most sales are commissioned based. Meaning you get paid better if you make a sale, or incentive based if you sell over a certain amount. It's standard business model, which is why you should never fully trust a salesman. At the same time, it's really rare for a salesman to sell you a lemon, so if you like a product, just enjoy it. The most common sales tactic is just up selling a little and you see that all the time: "Hey, you're getting this, would you like this accessory to go with it?". You can't just successfully sell a product by placing it on a shelf and not telling anyone about it, so salesmen and marketers are vital to any company. Just see the game for what it is. It's not inherently bad.

Learned this in sales. They called it "the little yes that leads to a big yes". Funny thing is, unlike what this video implies, they don't even need to be very related. Going up to a door as asking something if they want to buy something, they'll probably say no. However, if you first ask them to confirm their name "Are you Mr. John Smith?" and they say yes, makes them more likely to say yes again when you ask if they want to buy something.

YET the GUN MAN as with 99.9% of GUN CRIME in Canada used a HANDGUN (one of the Hand Guns was taken from a RCMP Officer that he shot & killed btw).

This is also an outstanding way to work on yourself!! Whatever goal you have, from finding the love of your life to becoming a billionaire, its better to not try to rush your big goal all at once because more often than not you will not be successful and may even be discouraged. Take SMALL steps at a time and those will surely build a solid foundation on which you can finally achieve your main goals! It WILL take patience to begin, but once you get the snowball rolling, you will NEVER want to stop!
