Some of the questions he poses shows that he knows a hell of lot more than we do, but he humbles himself to say he doesn't even know a lot of what he wants to know. Also, he is smart enough to keep the math out so as not to bore and confuse the layman. Well spoken, and thanks to him for putting this together.

  • @PetraKann
    @PetraKann 3 ปีที่แล้ว +101

    Interesting that you cut an earthworm in half.
    Studies on earthworm severing have produced some unexpected results.
    When you cut a worm in half the tail bit will grow a new head and the head bit will grow a new tail, thus giving you two new worms.
    The process is sensitive to electrical responses so you can cause a one headed bit of worm to grow another head ending up with 2 headed worms. Likewise you can end up with worms with two tails.
    The interesting part of this research is that if you cut the 2 headed worm in half the two halves also grow into two headed worms. Implying that this trait is passed on in just one generation.
    They have also taken worm cutting into zero gravity situations

      @@ultravolt4555 I believe this is possible today but for specific types of tissue.
      You can also argue that Stem Cells can achieve this. Stem Cells are cells that havent 'decided' what function or type of cell they will become.

      But to genetically produce a functioning heart? Or Liver? Not sure what the level of technology is in this area.
