Scarecrow They even have a vlog on this channel from a UK tournament Ben and Lewis went to where Ben won 5 out of 5 games. I guess it took this long for them to actually play it on the channel because they were afraid of revealing that there was one of them who was actually competent at a game.

I love how you reason out the purpose of the scenario with almost a mini backstory. Roleplaying is an underrated element of a lot of games since it doesn't help determine who wins, but it can make the whole thing a lot more fun!

Howlrunner has a slightly weird history. She's supposed to be one of the TIE Fighter pilots chasing the Falcon at the end of ESB. She was first named in a 90s card game, then made it to Star Wars Galaxies, and eventually the Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
So technically she's in the Original Trilogy... except she's never appeared by name in any film or non-reference book.
A few of the pilots in X-Wing are the same, Vader's wingmen from ANH are named but never mentioned.

Sage Channel Tabletop Simulator has pretty good representations of these games, X-Wing in particular is bonkers good. X-Wing also has a n up-and-coming stand alone fan project called "Fly Casual" you ought to check out.
Though it's not exactly the same, Star Wars Empire at War Gold Edition is on steam for $20.00. It's an extreme good Star Wars RTS that plays very similarly to this game. Check it out, it's also got an amazing mod community.

I would get empire at war gold as Tom mentioned, its a great rts, if your looking for mods I would look at empire at war remake its easily my favorite makes the game way better

Howlrunner is from the original card game, and is one of the Tie's chasing the Falcon from Cloud City in the original trilogy. Named as Civé "Howlrunner" Rashon.

Mod for mount and blade that's star wars and amazing, check out bear force, it's very cool. Not sure concentrated on Jedi but still. You can force jump and etc. And the hand to hand combat as always in mount and blade very good
Jedi Outcast was the second one. I worked on it, and yeah, there's never been a lightsaber combat since then. When they re-released it recently, I was amazed that they didn't have multiplayer.

I've replayed Outcast more often than any game I've ever owned. You could bind console commands to your keyboards as shortcuts, that's how awesome it was.
HowlRunner. was her call-sign, her name is actually actually Civé Rashon . She appeared in Galaxies Empire Divided and much more. Her Canon or Lore, she was apart of Obsidian Squadron, and her squadron was most likely stationed on either the Executor or Vader's ISD. Her Squadron pursued the Millennium Falcon in the Empire Strikes back during the Asteroid scene and at Cloud City. She ended up at the Battle of Endor. being stationed on the ISD Thunderflare. Thundeflare would survive the Battle of Endor, so I am assuming since Howlrunner is not mentioned as dying, that her and most or some of her squadron survived.

Also, Howlrunner led the elite Obsidian Squadron from the Star Destroyer Avenger, taking part in their semi-invasion of Bespin and the subsequent pursuit of the Millennium Falcon, as well as the Battle of Endor

If you guys liked the saber combat in outcasts check out movie battles 2 its a mod for Jedi academy it still has a nicely sized MP community although it is extremely intense and difficult.

As far as Howlrunner goes.... Her name is Civé Rashon and she was the squadron commander for Obsidian Squadron on board the Avenger ISD. She was or is an ACE in her own right and was in numerous battles. I believe she has been in books, but she was also listed in the star wars card game around 1999 ish.
Ive never played this before but im surprised there isnt some sort of "tight formation" debuf where in the ships move slower and when capital ship is destroyed other ships take debris damage. Im considering getting a few sets to try my hand at it aswell
To me, Jedi Knight IS Star Wars. I played Jedi Knight on the Zone all day and night. I also modded for it and was a regular on Massassi. The conversation about lag saber fighting was a nostalgia trip.
There's a mod to Jedi Academy, the last of the Katarn games, that is still very active on multiplayer nowadays (hundreds of people playing!) and has really good (and complex) lightsaber combat. Look up Movie Battles II !

Went to a regional tournament in Australia for armada, turns out the 14th best player in the world won the Tourni. He smashed everyone. Hope Ben can whoop his ass!!

Star Wars lightsaber game based on the For Honor system... man that would be fucking amazing. Different movesets based on the different fighting styles, maybe customising it with different Force abilities (light and dark) mixed in

Mark, I can't tell if you did this, but you should have moved your x-wings between Ben's TIEs and your y-wings because they have the escort ability.

Was just noting the SQN complement of the presiding Imperial flotilla. Must be an older one. 2 SQN of TIE Bombers and a full wing of fighters... I was left wonderiing there was an option for TIE Interceptors, the XG-1 Star Wings or the Skiprays for the ISD... I've seen XWA Squadron rosters running with 3 TIE ln, 2 TIE Bomber, a TIE intercepter, 5 XG1 (individual fighters) and a like nuber of skipray blastboat... a scarey amount of hardware
It sounds like y’all would really enjoy a mod for Jedi Academy called Star Wars Movie Battles 2! It actually improves on the lightsaber dueling mechanics from the base game and has some great blaster user vs force user mechanics!
I'm pretty sure The Star Wars Outcast Online lightsaber duels are still going on in the mod community but i can't remember what its called
