Video shows the electrical distribution including disassembly of the main fuse box and the individual fuse panels. The information is the same for the 981 Cayman and 991.

I'd like to add a fuse to one of those unused slots on the bottom row. The power supply side fuse leg receptacle is there but the one for the upper leg is not populated. How can I find that pin/connector part? Who makes the fuse holder and maybe sells the pins? I imagine I want something like Aptiv 12020321 but is that does not look like the right part. Can you give me some hints?

Maybe speak to an auto electrician. Pull the fuse panel, remove one of the connectors and take a photo of it and ask around. I'd be surprised if it's not a generic contact type that is used in many vehicles.

I purchased a car which was not running it had water in passengers footwell right hand drive , I changed the body control unit and pic unit but car will not start or crank , any ideas ?

Hi Jeff any idea where the fuse would be that operates the roof hook? Neither of the 2 relays are operating and there’s no power to the 12v motor. I’m struggling. Roof works fine. The hook just won’t operate
Fuse is B7 on the left panel. 25A rating. Do you have the wiring diagram from the workshop manual? If the fuse is fine I'd be applying 12V to the pins on the main convertible plug on the left, pins 1 and 2 and see if the hook works with power directly applied to the motor.

I’ll double check all that tomo. I’ve checked the motor. It runs with 12v direct. Using your videos and instruction I’m pretty 100% it’s the hook operation. If I open the hook manually the roof opens to half way and stops…as you said it would. Windows drop but NO hook movement. Doing my head in this one brother
Have you checked the BCM signal at the relays to see if in fact the rear BCM is attempting to activate?
Hi Jeff I’ve got the Bcm out from under the seat. No signs of water ingress or damage. Can’t find a wiring diagram for which wire I’m looking at for the signal. Does it go to ground when it signals?
