Gonna be interesting to see this story unfold and find out why they suspected this guy. Cops did a good job at not letting anything leak. So many times people are upset when they think the cops don't have any leads or not doing enough but they are just keeping quiet so they can catch them.
and all of the YT geniuses, such as Ashley Banfield, Brian Entin (however he spells it), all of the 'former FBI agents' who kept saying the police were stymied and going nowhere -- are you good and embarrassed now?
Sounds, so far, as tho they had DNA at the scene and may have used the database available thru Ancestry to track down a possible suspect...and then...does he have a white Elantra...yes, he does. Etc.

Dude, everyone claiming this would only think so after his arrest. If this shot was on his river's license, or a London Drugs employee ID badge, no one would think twice about it. Just like with all IDs, you're not allowed to smile or any facial expressions when getting a mug shot.

Or almost all trials, sometimes when small cildren are (sa/dv) victims, court may be closed doors to protect victims identity. But in this case, court will 100% sure be open for public.

Obviously the authorities had him in their sights for weeks before the public ever knew a thing about them even having a suspect at all, let alone this specific person. You do not know what the cops have on this guy, and they're not going to be sharing details with us right now. They caught a dude across the country, whose name was never brought up by a tip or by any of the hundreds of interviews conducted, who didn't have a criminal record (no fingerprints or DNA in any database), didn't attend ISU, was 8 years older than the victims and not known to be close to any of the 4 victims in any way. I think they absolutely have more than enough evidence to convict this monster beyond any reasonable doubt. We, the public, are probably aware of less than 5% of the information law enforcement has gathered up.
A "weak" case? No way. This was incredibly difficult, complex police work to get to this suspect. To think that the information that has been shared with the media up to this point is ALL the information the police have on this man is just wrong.

@@MeganVictoriaKearns I think someone saw his car and matched it to his apartment. Someone from the complex that he lived at reported the car. This issue is gonna be finding DNA that is going to be the problem. The news has said they matched his dna...that mean they have a sample of his dna and are matching it to the crime scene. They will get him if they CONFIRM a match.

6 weeks had passed since this horrific killings. Glad authorities had finally almost for certain had finally caught up with the perpetrator to put justice and closure for the victims' families. The question now is WHY this psychopath did the heinous crime. Evil person/persons are for real and are amongst us.

Before he left for Pennsylvania he must of gassed up at a gas station in Moscow that is near an on-ramp to the freeway; or toll roads; if he drove on toll roads his license plate number would have been picked up by the cameras as he drove through the toll booths.

I think that’s the issue here is people are pressuring police to arrest someone. It doesn’t seem like they care who, as long as it’s someone. It takes time to link everything together. Evidence takes time to process. And giving out any information on the case could compromise it. We want the right person, we want enough valid evidence to convict and get justice. I think people need to do more research before trying to be an internet hero 🙄 I think the police did everything the way they should have thus far and I’m pleased that they kept their mouths shut.

This creep apparently knew the guy that was one of the victims and they had a falling out because the dude didn't want to have anything to do with this guy anymore because he was a major heroin addict and had serious anger issues according to this girl, she said she didn't know he knew the girls but she knows he knew that guy. She also said that he was always scheming to get drugs and that he had dead eyes and that's plain to see in that mug shot. Needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent for what he did it was heinous and sadistic and should get the death penalty!!

I'm sure they checked the gas station near the photo to see if he used a credit card there, and they probably checked for elantras with WSU parking stickers. Everybody who knows this guy, knows he lived 10 miles from the murders and what he drives. All his family and friends and neighbors in Pittsburg and Pullman. Surely somebody at least left an anonymous message on the tip line.

It wasn't a random person he was seeking to kill. He targeted one of the girls after seeing her at the bar that night and she rejected him. He was already feeling rage and pscho-like junk and she was easy to locate and kill (the party house was known to everyone, everyone knew who lived there, she was a pretty and fun going gal - who didn't secure their home well or think about just trying to be kind to someone who offers to buy you a drink in a bar because sometimes it just doesn't take much throw off the already psycho-disturbed-murderous behavior of a person who has a big knife and knows where you leave. Don't bring attention to yourself in public gathers. Be smart. To have a face to this crime is so sad 😞 why would someone do something like this? It’s easy to understand how he came across the girls. He only lived 15 mins away. Social media will automatically find people in your area and their pages weren’t private. I knew it was a potential serial killer. It was too well planned out. This is so heartbreaking 💔 If he is actually guilty I think he is deserving of the death penalty. Not usually a proponent of it but if he was sentenced to that I wouldn’t feel sorry for him

A murder in a moment of anger, crimes of passion, are maybe a little easier to understand. But this is senseless. Just easy to assume murders like this take a monster. Unless this person is mentally unfit, the death penalty is merited here.

My guess is he found out that the house was rented by all girls, and girls are much easier to stab to death than guys, especially if he knew beforehand that the girls were petit for the most part. I’m also curious to know how he got into the house? Was it left unlocked and he simply got lucky, or does one of the roommates on the 1st floor know him

Glad they caught him but everyone forgot about the dog that was skinned . If BCK didn’t do it then Moscow still has something to worry about. Looks like there is a serial killer on the rise. Since they say that’s how they start off young killing animals.

Perhaps they found personal items of the victims.
Burglary is breaking into a building to commit a crime. Robbery is stealing. He is being charged with felony burglary because he broke into the home with the intention to murder.
Of course my thoughts go to the victims' families... But also to the family of this monster whose lives are forever changed for they are now going to have to live with the stigma of being the killer's parent, sibling...
And HOW DEVISTATING IT IS FOR all family members of the person that committed this crime. They are throwing up and will for a year at least.

I agree but it happens a lot where people are murdered while other people in the home are sleeping… In the 80s there was a case of an entire family of like 5 people murdered while two little boys slept in the other room. maybe the people are just such in shock or so scared they can’t even scream? Or maybe he threatened them? Idk but I think it’s weird too

Finally! I'm hoping this suspect is brought before the judge and his trial starts soon. The murders of the four young people touched more than the states of Idaho and Pennsylvania. They shocked the world.
Arrested in South Central, PA. Pretty close. It’s actually North Eastern, PA.
I’ve seen this guy before in some other crime investigation story, he was much younger. He really sounds like Steve Carell
this is the DEFINITION of capital murder- they even have him on burglary charges and murder.....
It was annoying to see news stations repeatedly recycling old findings BUT it kept this case in the news light

what confuses me is the involvement with Ethan and Xana. How did he know them? Did he not know them and was just fired up and wanted more? It’s just baffling. what a sicko
And they had the defensive wounds and her family stated she was a fighter and Ethan was a strong person so how did one person keep them contained to kill them

This arrest has to be massive for the families of these 4 Students-they must have been in “limbo” until now.
My heart goes out to these families. Even if this guy is the real murderer, my heart goes out to his family also. They'll be put thru hell! I went thru this in 1980 when my younger sister was murdered in a triple homicide. The murderer committed suicide before trial & took the "answers" with him, so we never had to deal with judicial system & I'm grateful for that, but it took yrs to forgive him! These families have a long haul ahead of them! It never leaves you, but the bad memories are replaced, in time (we all process grief differently) with those wonderful memories of silly & great things they did & you never lose that love you have for them.
So sorry. I feel that it is obvious mental illness is on the rise in America. People glorify murders more these days. I am just surprised if he possibly showed these mental issues and was still allowed as a student- like someone could have figured out more about him.

You can definitely see a head in the back seat window. At least 3 people involved. When Bryan Kohberger was arrested he reportedly asked "if anyone else has been arrested" and had a blank stare in his eyes. Trauma for sure
He said that on purpose because he knows it might help him in a trial. Dude studied criminology and knows he should have asked for a lawyer first and has the right to remain silent but I suspect he wanted that narrative to get out by design.

He probably drove straight to Pennsylvania after he did this. They should honestly look at the insterstates he traveled and look along them to see if they can find a knife. He probably threw it out the window halfway across the country from the murders.

Can't imagine what the families of the victims are feeling now. If in shock previously, I'd imagine they are now furious as they now have a face and a name of their children's murderer..they didn't know whom to hate. In hindsight, the survey seems like a guy that was already beginning to plan how to commit this crime. I even think this choice of university is not an accident. Rural and 2 campuses in separate states, but very nearby. I think he was banking on never being connected because he was older and at the other campus. You would think he'd know DNA is pretty incriminating in modern times.
I was thinking similarly. Maybe he was already kind of "curious" or into the topic of murder, wanting to understand how to execute one and how it really feels to do so. Decided on a topic of interest for his thesis, and met some other like minded individuals through the research or become more stimulated by the data collection. Who knows though! All I know is he's a complete nut and he frightens me.
