It broke my heart when one of the parents said in an interview that as parents they chose that town for their daughter because it was said to be one of the safest towns in the U.S. for it didn't have a murder reported in 7yrs consecutively and then tragedy strikes them. This is very hard to take in as a parent who is always trying to find the best for their children.

That's why you turn your will and your life over to God. You do the best you can & what seems to be appropriate at the time but stop trying to guarantee and control what the outcome is going to be.
Just to the extent that you do as you think he would have you do and humbly rely on him, does he enable you to match calamity with serenity.

As a parent of 5 girls I pray that they stay safe in their environment and who they associate with. Unfortunately these victims were targeted by a pathological killer who traveled from WSU to Moscow Idaho multiple times before and after the murders to satisfy his pathological urges. He will be associated with the Ted Bundy’s of this world. He took from us 4 bright young people who were going to make a difference in the world. You instead will spend the rest of your life in prison unless they give you the death penalty. I personally think that multiple life sentences is the most appropriate sentence…so you can spend the rest of your life regretting ending the lives of the Idaho 4, Kaylee, Madison, Xana, and Ethan. 😢😢😢😢

I sincerely ask you to not say things like that to the loved ones of someone who died in a physically painful way. True, they are not in pain now, nor will they ever feel pain again. But... saying "they aren't in pain anymore" just drags up the single most distressing detail of the loss to those who loved the victims. It (unintentionally, of course) focuses attention on the fact that the last moments these people spent on Earth were unimaginably horrific and their deaths were painful and not quick. These innocent kids suffered. Just choose better words. I do not believe you intend to inflict any harm on the families of these victims. Not for a minute. Wrong. Bundy was accepted into U of Utah's law school. He was NOT a lawyer and didn't complete a single class in his first semester. He was too busy killing women. He was NOT a lawyer. He served as his own lawyer in his first murder trial, stepped aside halfway thru and let his court-appointed attorneys finish. He was found guilty with a death penalty charge. Then he was tried for another murder, and he had no participation in that. He did get his girlfriend on the stand, ask if she'd marry him as testimony, and was able to gain legal marriage status for her. They had a daughter thereafter, but 3 years later, he confessed all crimes to her and his wife took the daughter, disappeared and has never come forward again.

I definitely felt this to be personal, this was premeditated, the person was "clever " simply because of the length of time needed to subdue this suspect! He has been wanting to commit a crime and felt he was knowledgeable enough to get away with it. There is a possibility he was obsessed with one of the roommates. He knew them. He knew the layout of that house, he was aware of their habits so much so that the two downstairs sleeping heard anything until the next day. This criminal mind is like a labyrinth! Definitely EVIL!

Wow, this is crazy and this was someone that noone (publicly) had their sights on as a suspect . Good job LE. Im glad they got this SOB. sorta knew they had something when they weren't giving out much info to the public. This crime was so senseless , it didnt need to happen, for what? What's the motive? So brutal & tragic. I wonder if hes the person who skinned that dog also? I hope he rots.

I'm glad that they have a suspect. I don't understand why you feel the need to indicate that he's "highly educated" or infer any oddity that he has no criminal history. Neither of those things mean someone can't perpetrate a crime, even a horrific and horrendous one such as this. Humans do horrible things all the time regardless of how educated they are or how aware others are of their crimes. I hope that the families of these poor students find what peace they can in bringing the perpetrator(s) to justice.
