    Pretty helpful thanks , just bought the same one today. Now it just needs to snow so I can make my neighborhood jealous

      We are forecasted to get 10+ inches here today and through the night in the Midwest. Changed the oil last week, checked belts, shear pins, sprayed her down with some snow-stick spray and am ready to go!

    Thanks The instruction manual is not very clear on some of these issues because all of the models are lumped together and you need to figure out which works for you.

    My friends snow blower, I was able to go at speed 6 with about 3-4 inches on the ground. Now I’m getting this model (they have a model that’s been discontinued).

      @Chris Hagan thank you for sharing! Sheet using it a dozen times this winter I learned some of the minor annoyances but the positives far outweighed the annoyances. I will say I'm impressed with the durability. I hit a chunk of tree stump and a 8" metal bar (like rebar) and it stopped there unit instantly, motor died and all. I thought there was no way I could start it back up and it would work. I thought I just bring it for good but after clearing it out and checking things over, started right back up and I was back in action.

    Ive had mine for 5 yrs now, one of the things I did was I added led lights to the front of mine. They work100x better than the light that comes with the blower.

    • @johnhersom6002
      @johnhersom6002  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @robert loffredo I could definitely see how that would be nice to have. Although the lights built in to the snowblower work better than I originally expected, additional lights so be something I do next year. Did you wire them with the existing lights or did you add a switch?

      No problem! I've used it quite a bit since making this video and am still very happy with it. Starts first pull every time and runs like a champ. When blowing a fluffy to a medium wet snow, it'll throw it really far!

    Thanks for showing the choke operation, no sticker on my new one last year, owners manual doesn’t have a picture, just says to open it when starting.
    I thought I had run it last storm last year with Stabil in the gas …. Always started right up ( electric start )
    Anywho, has gas from last winter and it just keeps grinding n won’t start 🤬
    Any suggestions ??
    Thanks

      I have had similar issues when pull starting. What ended up fixing my issue was pulling off the spark plug cable from the spark plug and literally just plugging it back in. For whatever reason, this year I have a hella time starting it with the pull starter, yet it will start within 1 second using the electric starter. Maybe I’m just getting older and weaker 😬

    When I turn my choke down below halfway, after starting it, it starts to pulse very loudly, so I found myself having to keep it halfway and it still worked but it's new and I don't want to break it. Please help.

      So I was able to plow the driveway and sidewalks, but I had the choke up halfway the whole time. I don't know if that could break it. Also the auger is always running

    • @johnhersom6002
      @johnhersom6002  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jakeklassen23 that sounds very dangerous if your auger is always running. Make sure your cables are not bound up and routed correctly as i kind of mention at the beginning of the video. You should not have to keep your choke on after initial start and warmup

    Can you buy tire chains for these?

    • @johnhersom6002

      Yes, of course. You just need to search for tire chains for 16 x 6.5 tires. Cub Cadet sells them but you can also get them on Amazon.

    Is your driveway gravel? How high did you have your skids?

    • @johnhersom6002
      @johnhersom6002  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My lane is partially gravel. I normally wouldn't be clearing snow out of the grass part of the yard but I was just wanting to demo how well it through "deeper" snow and push it to it's limits a little bit. If you hear any rocks being through it was because I threw them in the yard from the driveway. I have my skids set lower than I should, I believe around 1/8". I usually use my skid loader to move the snow, but I like to use this around the house and carving paths to the livestock in the back acre.
