Still my Fav Polaris song, RIP Ryan x
This is the song that introduced me to Polaris. Until then, I watched Ryan’s videos to learn how to play some of my favourite covers. Dude is legendary and it’s shocking to see him go so soon. RIP Ryan. You’re one of the good ones.
Rest in peace, Ryan. Absolute legend of a player. 🎸
Keep doing what you're doing boys, this genre needs more bands like you.
this genre IS bands like them lole
But they don't.
You're a terrible troll and that's a bad bait, if they sounded like every other progressive/djent band in the genre I wouldn't be listening to them.
But you're saying it like they're talent-less. Give credit where credit is due. They are pretty fucking good instrument wise.
Mikkel, you're not alone. These kids sound exactly like any modern Djent/Metalcore band... which means technical wankery, boring 1 note chugs, the same calm bridges, emo-whiney core-ish vocals, etc. Predictable and soooo boring. They know how to play, but composition-wise... pretty lame and not very interesting.
Anyone saying this band* is "Prog" doesn't know anything about Progressive Metal.
This band is the guy she told you not to worry about
not even mad
Lol
*:(*
You: The baked guy with the Ukelele
Polaris: The guy she told you not to worry about
Volume at 120% for you, Ryan. We gonna sing so loud you'll hear it from the heavens. Rest in Power my man.
Thank you Ryan and Polaris. I hope the rest of you boys and his family are okay ❤
I love that you can actually tell that Ryan genuinely enjoys playing guitar. So many guitarists look bored when they are doing playthroughs. Nicely done!
I think for the most part, they "look" bored but actually aren't, they're probably concentrating like crazy to not mess up for the play through lol
Or maybe he just likes being in front of camera n getting attention..u dimwit ..just cuz the other guys isn't jumping with his expressions doesn't mean he is not enjoying
One of my favourite Polaris songs. I always come back to watch this, but it's different now... The world has lost an incredible person. RIP Ryan, you are missed
this song and playthrough got me into heavy music
Great to have you with us my dude haha
just want to say how cool it is that you guys post the tabs. not enough bands do that and its just an extra step that you don't have to take. Just know that us guitar players that admire your skill really appreciate it.
i feel every guitar lesson ive skipped in this.
I like the part when guitars do:
Piuuuwin chacachaca piuwin cha chacachaca piuwin cha ca cha.
(Mom talking bout the breakdown) LOL!
I'm about crying! LOL
2:53 on is fucking sublime. Holy shit. I got chills.
Seriously one of the nicest solo/breakdowns I've ever heard. You guys are too good!
Musically, you guys are insane. Such amazing guitarists. Polaris needs more recognition to be honest. Hope you guys make it far, you're fantastic musicians.
Also, your cover of Marigold (I think it was) was amazing.
Thanks man, glad you dig the tunes :)
Killer riffs.
great guitarist like fark there good
I cant get tired of listening to any of your material....UNREAL!
Production is spot on..and an amazing job on the chorus, you guys outdone yourselves!
It's been over a year and I still fucking love this. I admire you two.
im honest, this is one of my favorite youtube videos...
Usually vocals don't sound that good over prog metal instrumentals but this was honestly great can't wait see/hear more!!
I’ve watched this so many times man, so perfect
So sick!! One of the best bands in the mix right now. Can't wait for more new tunes
1:58 you can just feel the Architects inspiration, especially seeing it on the guitar with no headstock
Ever since Polaris by the human abstract I seem to love everything with this name. This is no different, new fan here. Cheers from Dallas texas
YES
THANK YOU BASED RYAN AND RICK FOR THE TABS/MIDI FOR THE REST OF THE STUFF (DRUMS, BASS, PIANO)
I'VE BEEN WAITING MONTHS FOR THEM
Love the EP/playthrough too btw, you guys signed my CD and shirt :)
From 1:57 to 2:12, I'm getting a strong Architects vibe for some reason haha! :D Love it!
Its quite similar to the riff from outsider heart, that's probably why
That high-pitched thing is very Architects indeed
And lil northlane
Same chord is also in "Devil's Island"
i get a little alpha omega there tbh
RIP Ryan, we are all gutted by your loss.
Arg Cant stop listening !
You guys upped your game and I can no longer say I dislike the music you make.
Awesome stuff...
3:06 beautiful tone
Love you Ryan! rest in peace man
That solo gave me goosebumps big time
I'm getting huge Architects vibes from this. Love it.
Absolutely in love with this music! Seriously has got that fire back in me again! 🤙🏻
always thought this song had one of the most epic clean vocal appearences. just totally blows this song out of the water imo.
I do how however really appreciate digesting what the guitars are doing now that I can see them
They are really good, i started off hating the mix and by the end it i thought that the mix was amazing i do not know why i had that 180 please continue writing you guys really have something special here.
This is the first song I heard from you guys last summer and it still hits like a ton of bricks
I love this but also love just instrumentals for a change without vocals like you guys did with Unfamiliar. I have watched that so many times. Keep it up and thanks!
Hell yeah! Technical as fuuuuuuuuccccckkkk but beautifully structured to keep my ears wanting more! 👍👍👍
Ryan's guitar is just simply arousing
Them guitars are so perfect. Absolutely nothing wrong with either of them. Perfect to the T
I'm high as shit and this just blew my fucking mind

I fucking love the clean vibe. I just found you guys 20 minutes ago and your already gunna be a new favorite band of mine. So sick! And I love the tuning you guys use. I'm gunna hafto try it out when I get my new 7 string.
That was so beautiful fellas! You guys are so talented! Love it
Woah! I am so glad I found you guys!!!
Whoa mayonnaise IS an instrument :O
Brandon Chambers I'm waiting for Keytchup keyboards these days
it is mayones
Hahaha first time I saw a mayones guitar was in a guitar store and from far away when I saw it I said to him "is that a mayonnaise guitar?"
I'm really loving this stuff. . Also, holy shit, all that gear is like a years mortgage
Somebody has been heavily inspired by The Safety Fire! Amazing song and playthrough guys.
Man perfect band to play with plini and intervals.. Wish I was an Aussie haha
This ep is underrated.
Man. I love Polaris...
Hope Rick and the boys are doing ok. Can't imagine what them and Ryan's family are going through.

"Ryan and Rick use Mayones Guitars" - I think someone missed the memo when they went to film this.
I endorse Mayones guitars but unfortunately I don't have a 7 string - looking forward to getting a 7 string Regius soon!
i was scrolling through the comments to see if anyone else had spotted it lol
+Rick Schneider you don't like the carvin?

lovvveee this damn song
This is fucking sick guys, it's like all the best metalcore/progressive metal bands all got together. Bit of everything, wild. Really digging those clean FX, especially Ryan's ones, can you guys tell me what you're using? Sounds a bit like the Afterneath
Too sick, can't wait for the Brisbane date :)
I love that mayones . Fucking sickk
Top stuff lads! Love the song :)
This reminds me of early Periphery and I approve 👌🏼
Yeah boys!!!

the bridge from 3:06 is so good
Ya'll tryna tour in America? Houston!
"Voiceless" is my favorite from this band...
Awesome
i can hear some northlane's influence here, so sick!!!
Yup that clean part reminds me of dispossession
Especially at around 3:07 which is my favorite part of the song
Fuckin Australian bands. Just killin it. It's like it's in you guys blood to make the best metal.
This is tasty, tasty music!
