Rest in Peace Ryan, such an amazing guitar player, you will never be forgotten😢
What happened?
@@samm8922 hes passed unfortunately. rest in peace
Absolutely. You could see it in his face. He truly enjoyed playing, and the music he wrote reflects that. You can hear the power of it just in this play through.
RIP man, the battles over. ❤
@@RocklobsterCodyagreed. He seemed like a genuinely good dude too. Based on what I know about his mental health struggles and the lack of information available on the whole, do we know for sure if…that’s…what this was?
@@fuyufuyndamn. I listen to the album everytime I work out. Didn’t really follow the band but that sucks
As someone that has primarily played only metalcore and prog tunes for years, 1:08 is still the most fun riff to play. So fucking good. R.I.P Ryan man what a talent
Me too. I am absolutely captivated by that riff, it’s like lifeblood
Ryan Siew influenced me to learn this song. Took 6 months and I was damn proud. RIP
Hes influencing me right now to learn I wish I could have seen him preform
Look how happy he was playing. Whata legend. Rest in peace.
Rick and jake: focusing and playing hard
Ryan: v i b i n g
That lead part is confusing as fuck to learn lmao. He barely repeats the same note pattern at all. It's a always some sort of change up.
Rest in Peace Ryan. You will be sorely missed. My heart breaks for his family and bandmates. Thank you for the amazing contributions to the world of metal
Love how all of the instrumental versions show off how well written your song are!
Honestly, I never realised how technical the lead part was to this song. They’re just amazing musicians.
I thought the same thing.
@@c4gob00m same bro haha. They’re insane 🤘
@@c4gob00m haha same dude. I wasn’t a huge fan of the song until I watched this and now it’s one of my favorites 🤷♂️
Rest in peace Ryan, this song means the world to me. Thank you for everything.
Criminally underrated musicians.... Definitely my neighbors favorite band at the moment even if they like it or not
Criminally underrated comment. This is my neighbors neighbor favorite band as well.
Polaris is DOPE.
The Death of Me is easily the best album I have ever heard, period. Every single song is unique and has passion and life put into it. I've never been so proud to be a metalcore fan!
Sir, you said it all.
Ryan looked so happy here man, such a horrific loss. RIP you beautiful soul. A true pioneer and an amazing guitarust
I can just picture Jamie and Dan watching behind the camera like proud dad's seeing their sons do a cool guitar thing together 😌
I know right hahaha
Especially Dan considering he’s the primary song writer, which I just find insane because he’s a drummer.
RIP king. The lyrics always spoke to me, but your skills were next level. You were already big, going to be huge. Really makes me wonder what was going through your head when you wrote 01:57
This very song, and this very clip is what got me into Polaris. Great band, great guitarists. RIP Ryan - from someone you never knew existed, but I knew you did.
This song lives in my head rent free and I’m so happy it does
Rest in Paradise man, the only thing I ultimately regret is not seeing you guys live ONCE. I am hurt by the news, I hope he’s found peace and the band will as well. You guys are so talented, Ryan was certainly a god on guitar. All love and respect.
Thank you all for watching! The song tuned to Drop B and you can purchase the full album tabs here:

Rest In Peace Ryan. Your energy and your soul will be missed in the music world. Your playing has inspired me as a musician. My prayers go to your family, your friends, your band mates, and too all you’ve touched.
Ryan really is one of the greatest guitar players to ever live. The kids talent was out of this world. He’s the type of guitar player every band can hope for.
The heartbreaking, raw emotion in Ryan’s lead on the chorus is so beautiful and a perfect representation of what made him so special
I am once again reminded of a comment I saw years ago on one of Ryans covers, it went something like "he is great at playing someone elses music but i'd like to see him write his own stuff"...oh how I hope they paid attention
Ryan we will never forget the melodies and riffs you brought us. Forever in our ❤s we love you and Polaris gang. Stay strong boys 💪 ❤
Remember when Ryan was a little baby doin Periphery playthroughs
yeah mate. Time flies.
I saw him first time on his Critical Acclaim cover video. Goddamn.
This hits hard.
Rest in peace Ryan... had to come and watch my favorite playthrough with him after hearing the heartbreaking news 😢
Ryan forged music that wont be forgotten. what beast! what a band! thinking of you Polaris and family.
All the amazing nuances you hear without the vocals are incredible. Don’t get me wrong I love the song, but this is beautiful
Agreed, the chorus is insanely beautiful hearing all of it.
Epic
Didn't expect to see you here man, love your content. Looking forward to seeing you hit that 500k mark.
Oh shit it's my Arab Canadian bro
This will forever be one of my favourite songs ever written, it’s honestly unfathomable how you could put together such a literal perfect song, every riff, note, slide in this song is just absolutely perfect. You will be missed so much man, you look so happy in this video and it’s so hard to think how far you could’ve further come, considering the popularity of fatalism. Ryan forever 🖤
Honestly in tears watching this now… such an amazing musician taken far too soon… RIP Ryan 🖤
I come back to watch this so often. The song is so well put together and one of my favourites.
Can’t tell what’s smoother... The riffs, or that FPS damn 😍
it's...50fps?
@@debidi1461 Correct mate. Video just looks super smooth I meant
Had to come back to see his work.
RIP RYAN
I wish I listened to this band while Ryan was still around, but I appreciate his talent even more now
This is my absolute favorite Polaris song
Craziest thing to me still is watching Ryan's old videos and now seeing him in one of my favorite bands. So crazy how time flies haha
Descansa en paz, tus riff me inspiraron a volver a tener Banda gracias por tanto Ryan 🙏🥺 te debo tanto
1:30 I love this, they all (especially Ryan) just go "ooooh yeaaaah.." and bop their heads. But then again, who doesn't?
Ryan's riffs we're always no nostalgic. R.I.P Legend. 0:47
so satisfying...😭 A huge thank you starting from the band to everyone who is working behind the scenes.
Definitely singing "Im a wreck, i confess, I am in so far above my head and ive been telling everyone that i cant bear the weight" during the chorus.
When I break! Do you Break? Can you feel it like your bones are achiiiiiing?
Even as we grow it hurts to know that some things never chaaaaaange!!
@@joedavies6364 YES.
@@joedavies6364 then jamie goes "SOME THINGS NEVER CHAAAAAAAANGEEE"
Fucking banger!
I discovered Polaris with this song. I discovered Ryan with this playthrough I used to watch everyday. He was clearly the soul of this band. Look how driven and passionate he is.. He had his own signature that will be forever missed.
I know it’s been a few weeks now but I just can’t get over it.
This is a masterpiece....that chorus is pure emotion. Polaris is the best band out there right now.
You see Ryan enjoying playing shows he almost cant get enough just by sitting.
Great song, amazing playthrough and every time I come back to this I cant help but notice how happy Ryan looks here, what an awesome sound. RIP Ryan
Hard to watch these without tearing up man.. RIP Ryan, you were such a legend ❤
I've always come back to this vid. One of my favs. Different to watch now.. Seeing Ryan just grooving along. 😔
Polaris is one of the few bands that have the ability and mindset to write songs that will give you goosebumps and wanting to circlepit at the same time. The incredible talent of all of them is outstanding!
Thank you for sharing your amazing talent. Rest in peace brother 🤘
It's so incredible how you can vibe with this song so much in its original form but then hearing this makes you appreciate the nuances that the incredible song writing brings out here. Absolutely fantastic song, thanks for this mates, keep doing them!
such a great band. i love every aspect of polaris and i cant wait to see what they do next.
I love that everyone is in the video and not separate like the Pray for Rain one. So much cooler seeing you all as one unit.
Big fan of these play throughs, would love to see something heavier or even something older too!
I love Ryan's energy in this 😢
He looks so happy here… rest easy legend.. 😢
I still cant believe I got to see you guys play this live a week ago today, in Bristol UK at SWX! Everything from the vocals to your stage presence was PERFECT! I can't wait to see you guys again!
I got the tab book for Christmas. learning the drop b songs first then the rest. I'm so excited. first tab book I've had in 15 years or more and I'm so happy with it. highly recommend. support this guys.
I always enjoy the jams. Berry thoughtful music! 🙏❤️🤘🍓
Gone too soon. One of the best young guys left out there … R.I.P.
Australian Progressive/Metalcore are absolute top tier. I didn’t even realise there are so many bands that I love who happen to be from Australia. Polaris, Northlane, Alpha wolf, Karnivool, Twelve Foot Ninja, Dealer, Thornhill. Too many talented people in Australia
Been learning this song from a tab book I bought at your show. I am so floored that people can write such dynamic and soulful riffs. Every note in the lead is so perfect. It must have taken so much time to put this all together.
Another amazing work guys! Please do “all of this is fleeting” next.

My favorite Polaris song.
Gonna miss you Ryan...
I love the music scene coming from AUS lately. You guys are the best of it. Love from USA.
I just realised how interesting this song is guitar wise. Great work guys, looking forward to your europe tour next year!
That turquoise Mayones guitar tho 🥵
I know right

Thank you for spending so much effort on your music and brand.
Seriously, thank you, for being mindful of your work in what seems to be every aspect.
hearing this reminds me of 25 years ago listening to a portable CD player. the sound just takes me back to when this sound was all the rage.
Honestly my favorite song off the record. It’s just so perfectly written
RIP Ryan ❤master of sick riffs
It‘s music like this that makes me realize that 2020 was not all bad. Yes, it was one of the worst years in recent history. If not the worst. But it also brought us THIS. Music. Joy. And I am thankful for that bright light that music has brought into the dark that was 2020. This song makes me smile every time I listen to it. Thank you, Polaris, for making a shit year a little better
The amount of talent in that room is astounding
rest in peace ryan, came back to relearn it.
This band is the whole reason I found Mayones guitars. Pricey but a brilliant company
3:05 - 3:30 is literally the most melodic and beautiful riff I have ever fucking heard in my entire life. This song is just pure magic. How do you write this stuff!?!?!? Much love.
A tragic loss. Far too soon. Rest in Peace Ryan.
Other than the solid tunes, Ryan's facial expression at 1:27 just made my day.
First time hearing this band. They sound real good. Reminds me of my times at warped tour.
Its a shame the young kid is gone so soon. Only the good die young. R.i.p.
came here to watch it for a few seconds, but ending up watching the entire thing again. goddamn you guys just can't do anything wrong, can you?
This is such an emotionally welcome surprise during this goddamn pandemic. Thank you guys so much for this.
Ryan will forever be my fav guitarist
Those riffs gives me joy
Really love how Ryan is vibing to the song while playing 😄
The Death of Me is an amazing album and this definitely my favorite song on the record. As a guitar player myself I'm so happy they did a playthrough of this :)
1:13, Ryan showing off 🥹
RIP you absolute legend!
That made me so happy. Such a complete song from beginning to end
This song is outstanding
He was one with his music… the smile on his face 😊
Ryan is one of the best guitarist in metalcore right now. fight me.
Dude seems like a sponge and is so willing to learn and take inspiration from other talented guitarists. He’s awesome
One of the most dope songs I've ever heard
Ryan’s whole demeanor is a fucking mood. He makes sass look “in-style.”
And this is why this song was my top song for 2020! Man, you guys are absolutely incredible!! Keep up the great work!
This song is so important to me. Even without the words, it gives me goosebumps. God damn i love it.
I've always enjoyed the instruments in this song. But when I saw Polaris drop this teaser on IG the other day... boy it made me so stupid happy! And now seeing it, especially having the bassist there and not just the guitarist... damn I really think every playthrough should be like this!!
Sold work guys! Can wait till I see yall in tour. Hopefully with Kingdom of Giants 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Ya'll's obviously having a lot of fun playing your music. I dig it. Makes me want to go on an adventure. Prost, from RI.
