Love the work lads. Av noticed on all your builds everything’s 400 centres am a joiner in Scotland 🏴 everything we build is mostly always 600 centres up here
Love ur videos, honestly keep the good works. Gonna try this myself got nothing to lose. But i got confused when the side panels are they a must. Coz my full wall is already plastered.
These are the best videos, every part of the process explained. Did you just plug the heater into a socket? I have a fused spur that's not in use and considering wiring a socket to it for the heater to plug into.
@@homeimprovements mate my wall that I want to build one on is the one between mine and my next door not solid brick do I have to attach my battens to the studs behind the wall because that might not be the size of media wall I want?
My husband and I want to buy tools to make them. Where I live it costs 2,500. One of these costs around 1,000 more or less between materials and tools. What tools do I need? We love your channel and enjoy all the videos!
Thank you, the side frames were installed for the plasterboard to fix to but you can always add framework for shelves at this point if you want to add shelves. 👍🏻
I'm a DIY'er doing this job with the same fire right now. Can you show how you fitted the stop bead around the fire please? I've not use it before. I've just picked up some 3mm stop bead from Wickes and don't know if it sits on the surface of the board or if the hooked bottom bit goes around the edge of the board
Agree with the fixings for sure! Although, to be fair, if youre using PGB, you could probably hang a bloody american fridge freezer off it and it wouldnt move! 😂
Man, I hate these fake chimney breast media walls so much. I guarantee people will be ripping them out in the not too distant future. Now, the recessed ones with shelving and cabinetry - *chefs kiss*

A lot 600 here too I just prefer to over build 😁😁😁
Awesome work lads, building one myself so was looking for tips 😅
Thanks 🤩
AWESOME video. I really like your technique to transfer the weirght of the face of that wall to the rafters in the back. Great idea.
Thank you very much!
Class video lads. Just so you know though. Both c16 and c24 is treated.
What a great channel, thanks chaps. I've never seen diagonal bracing frames like that... Brilliant..
Thank you 👍🏻 hope you have a good day
Outstanding. I need a laser level and five tape measures to put up a shelf.

This was brilliant content. Cheers lads.
You lads are my favourite building channel
Thank so much, appreciate your support 😊
Been waiting for a video on this! Would be awesome if you did a video on bathroom plumbing for floating toilet and sink.
Thanks for the comment, great idea we will look to get a video on that done soon. 👍🏻
Just started following guys , love the no nonsense approach to stuff , nice !
Awesome, thank you. We appreciate your support 😊
Gotta be the most I ever saw Brad do in a video😂 is that his main trade? Plastering/plasterboarding. Nice job lads🤙🏻
🤣 no it’s just I went home and he carried on 🤣
This is brilliant and great explanations.
Thank you 😊
What is the name of the fireplace? This build was awesome!
Thanks it’s from bespoke fireplaces 😊
Good video guide again lads. What size screws are you using?
Geeat video 👍🏽
Shame you never showed the installation of the TV
Which bracket used etc

Great job. 👍Where did the sides go? Thought they were going to be shelves😮.

The frame sitting on top of the fireplace, was that not attached to the studs on the wall?
The frame was fixed to the wall studs 😊
Great job, is there a video on how you routed the electric in that garden room?
Probably a sparky did that
How did you fill the fire with the logs lads i'm asuming the fire doesn't slide out ?
Hi Phil what tool belt are you using in this project? Thanks
Veto Pro Pac I think
Why doesn't it look straight? The tv looks straight but its a different height at each side to the ceiling.
The ceiling is sloped. Maybe watch the video before commenting 😂
@@Jessie_Pinkman_ i did but didn't hear that part. It looks very odd, i couldn't watch a tv like that.
It’s a flat sloping roof.
Thats because the roofing need to be on the slant so they rain can run off thats why the ceiling don't look straight mate
Even if the roof isn't plumb you can still make the ceiling plumb 😅
Nice
very nice, how did you work out how to get the tv bracket at right height looks like you have a nice 2cm gap all-round
how do you deal with problems with heater down the road in regard to access ?
Good question?
Why did you plaster the entire drywall? In North America we only plaster the screws and corner beads.
What is that mixture you are using to plaster,?
Agree with the fixings for sure!

🤣👌🏼
Really good video. How much does a job like this cost?
Longer reveal at the end please, nice work tho...
Nice work, what screws are you using?
How does anything vent if you have plastered over all the wall?
We installed a vent in the side of the media wall for ventilation.
What size timber did you use?
We used 3x2 timbers 👍🏻
Thanks
@@homeimprovements can you tell me what size where the screws? And if i have to drill pilot holes what size drill bit to use please?
I never understood the TV over a fireplace concept. I mean heat goes up, wouldn't it destroy the TV?
Where did you get your utility belt please/ name/ brand
Veto Pro Pac I think
Please show how TV was fitted
This is sooooo f…. Cheesy
Thanks 🤩
Think they need an extension first 😂
Why the hell are you dressed like a traffic warden to build a tv unit?? 🤔 lmao😂😂😂😂😂😂
Because you never know when traffic Needs directing
That's an expensive wall just cus of wood price :D
Lads you got price for this
no matter how level that tv opening is, its always going to look like its on the piss because of that slopping roof
Why u dressed like a traffic warden?
no good
Clean the camera next video please, there is lots of dust particles that are very anoying

Fake Chimney? These fireplaces put out a lot of heat
