Brilliant vid boys. I’ve followed many decorating how to’s but this is by far the best for covering the whole process start to finish on a garden room.
Nice to see someone who preps as well as me. Tell the man to try Johnstone double matt for ceilings, he will love it. Ps you need a better plasterer, too many trowel marks and bumps 😃
Proper way to do it. Unfortunately not many customers willing to pay for it. Cause, guess what they didn't tell you, how much time (mostly due to drying time) it takes to paint this? U can paint a room in one day, or one week, and if you had a crappy plasterer working before you, it can take even longer to get that perfect finish.
Fantastic video, thanks! How long did you leave the top coat of skirting paint to dry before taping? I know its delicate tape, but does it not need to go on fully cured paint to prevent disturbing the paint? I presume not, but I'm diy so this will be a great time saver if only an hour or so
I know this is a stupid question. But have you got any tips on cleaning the brushes and rollers? I've bought expensive rollers before and brushes. The worst thing is cleaning them. Especially if you have glossed anything. Thanks and great video. Kevin is so good at this
For rollers I scrape them off and chuck them in the washing machine, on a cold rinse cycle. Saves so much time and water and they come out lovely and fluffy :)
Like to see how to on painting base and toe kick on top of refinished wood flooring which has small grooves at each board joint that is run perpendicular into the base boards. Taping doesn’t seem to get it done due to the grooves???
Good work lads.but be having a serious concern for that much filling on new plaster.plus any paint goes see through and pulls back in white after 30.mins stuff your learn as an apprentice
Cant agree more lads....i love and agree with kevs methods but by the time im on the job theres no money left and time is essential haha i wanna work with kev😂
Great videos from paint warrior, but i can say the customers in your area must be mega rich because where i live I wouldn’t get the job because of the cost of it all!!

What a paint expert Kev is! Great tips too.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
Kev is the man! From how he preps to what he uses, his methods etc, he's the man.
Much appreciated 😊

Great vid as always guys!

Goes to show how many steps the average DIYer skips and lives with imperfections. This is inspiring!
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Does the mist coat not need longer to dry/cure?
Fantastic video, thanks!

Kev, would you recommend sparying instead of rolling?
Depends on the size of the room 😊
Only with a professional machine, the DIY ones are good for thin fence paint only.....don't believe the online videos
Do you recommend sugar soaping after each sand?
How many days did it take to paint and prep the room ?
2-3 days There was a lot of filming 😊
Good work lads.but be having a serious concern for that much filling on new plaster.plus any paint goes see through and pulls back in white after 30.mins stuff your learn as an apprentice

What is that sander called again?
Mirka

Did he put a mist coat on those gnashers too?😂
How much you will charge for this room ? A £1000 ?

If new plaster needs all this prep you should get a better plasterer
Typical 😮😮😮 its always left to the painter to make other trades work look good 😅
It's all good if you on a dayrate 😅
Charge for the time 😊
How didn't a professional painter not notice the paint wasn't soaking in to the plaster.
That plaster is fully cured mate so no problems.
@@AlfGuitar What has the plaster being fully cured got to do with the paint not soaking in to the plaster
@@hardworker8030😂😂
Tell me your on day rate without telling me your on day rate
Okay
This is surely a piss take 😂
Yh got ya
