Haven’t looked recently but every few years a few people make single carb conversions for the dualies. Nothing really wrong with them when they work but good grief for cleaning \ tuning a single mikuni would be killer
Mooie XR! Heb zelf een XR250R gehad van 1987. Jammer dat ze dit nu niet echt meer maken. Denk dat je dan uiteindelijk bij KTM of Husqvarna uitkomt met een 690-blok.
hello, congrats for reviving the beast, it looks amazing! good for you. is this a TM 40- 6 ? What's the bore size at the carburetor inlet and outlet? the thing is I'm looking for a replacement carb for my pigga and I don't know for sure what mikuni reference is the right one. thanks for your help.
Hi David, thx!, yes it's the TM40-6, it came with adaptors pressed on to suit the XR on the back and front and therefore is plug and play. Don't know the bores fore sure on the standard TM40, i thought it was 44 mm in the front and 55 in the back. The Mikuni is affordable in comparison with the Keihin FCR 41 which costs about 950 euro!
I know what you mean!, the carb. wasn't on the engine for that long at the time. Meanwhile i set the airscrew and now it runs even better! No comparison with the original carb., no stalling anymore at sudden throttle and more power!
There's not much to uncork on this exhaust, db killer is out already. But there is another exhaust coming in the near future! (probably an FMF) Powerbomb manifold and silencer. Or is that what you meant?
(stikstof)
Hi, don't know for sure because it was pre-jetted for the XR600 and runs fine at the moment. But the set came with extra jets, sizes 132,5 135 137,5 and 140, also 2 idle jets 22,5 and 27,5.
@@gti20vtMarcel Dude did you have a look at your Jets since ? It would really help if you could tell us what jets you have on your carb to run so nice cheers
Brings back good memories.
Sin duda la fina de todas..👍🎖
Muchas gracias!
Now that’s nice. All they ever needed was a pumper and an exhaust and maybe a slight fat trimming and they were IT period.

Yes it is, plug and play!

@@gti20vtMarcel yes, the FMF exhaust really wakes these bikes up. I love your vids, will be looking forward to the next project 👍🇺🇸
@@gti20vtMarcel I’ve been looking for an XR350, apparently they are rare as hens teeth. With a dual sport kit and a Lectron carb I’d be a happy boy.
